Enhancement of Biological Control of Botrytis cinerea on Cucumber by Foliar Sprays and Bed Potting Mixes of Trichoderma harzianum YC459 and Its Application on Tomato in the Greenhouse

  • Trichoderma harzianum YC459 (Th 459), isolated from sawdust compost, was effective in controlling cucumber and tomato gray mold caused by Botrytis cinerea under controlled and plastic film tunnel conditions. A water suspension of the wettable powder formulation of Th 459 significantly $(P\leq0.05)$ reduced the severity of cucumber gray mold by foliar spraying at all tested concentrations from $10^5\;to\;10^8$ colony forming unit (cfu)/ml in repeated experiments. The control efficacy was maintained at least seven days with the average control value of 70% in cucumber pot tests. Mixing one to eight grams of the granular formulation ($10^8cfu/g$ dry weight) of Th 459 into one liter nursery potting mix at seeding also significantly $(P\leq0.05)$ reduced the severity of cucumber gray mold by suppression of lesion formation three weeks after treatment. Application of mixing granular formulation at seeding in combination with foliar spraying during cultivation provided a more significant reduction $(P\leq0.05)$ of cucumber gray mold than granule mixing or leaf spray alone. The foliar spraying of the formulated wettable powder of Th 459 significantly $(P\leq0.05)$ reduced the infection of tomato fruits by B. cinerea as effective as the chemical fungicide, dichlofluanid, in three plastic film tunnel experiment trials. It is suggested that effective control of gray mold of cucumber and tomato can be provided by both treatment of Th 459 into potting mix and foliar spray through induction of systemic resistance and direct inhibition of the pathogen.

  • SiAlON-based ceramics are some of the most typical ceramic materials used as cutting tools for HRSA(Heat Resistant Super-Alloys). SiAlON can be fabricated using ceramic processing, such as mixing, granulation, compaction, and sintering. Spray drying is a widely-used method for producing a granular powder of controlled morphology and size with flowability. In this study, we report a systematic investigation aimed at optimizing spherical granule morphology by controlling spray-drying parameters such as gas flow and feed rate. Before spray drying, the viscosities of the raw material slurries were also optimized with the amount of dispersant added.

표면 소수화 처리를 통한 도자타일 과립 분말의 유동 특성 (Effect of Hydrophobic Surface Coating on Flowability of Ceramic Tile Granule Powders)

  • Generally, ceramic tiles for building construction are manufactured by dry forming process using granular powders prepared by spray drying process after mixing and grinding of mineral raw materials. In recent years, as the demand for large ceramic tiles with natural texture has increased, the development of granule powders with high packing ratio and excellent flowability has become more important. In this study, ceramic tile granule powders are coated with hydrophobically treated silica nanoparticles. The effects of hydrophobic silica coating on the flowability of granule powders and the strength of the green body are investigated in detail. Silica nanoparticles are hydrophobically treated with GPTMS(3-glycidoxypropyl trimethoxy silane), which is an epoxy-based silane coupling agent. As the coating concentration increases, the angle of repose and the compressibility decrease. The tap density and flowability index increase after silica coating treatment. These results indicate that hydrophobic treatment can improve the flowability of the granular powder, and prevent cracking of green body at high pressure molding.

Enhanced Densification in Tl-1223/Ag Tapes Prepared Using Pretreated Precursors

  • The effects of reacted precursors on phase evolution, microstructure, $J_{c}$ and junctional characteristic of the inter-granular contacts were investigated in Ag-sheathed T1-1223 tapes prepared using three kinds of reacted precursors, and compared to those in the tape prepared using an unreacted precursor The precursors were prepared by heat-treating a mixture of Sr-Ba-Ca-Cu-O, $Tl_2$$O_3$, PbO and $Bi_2$$O_3$ powders at $805^{\circ}C$ (precursor I ), $840^{\circ}C$ (precursor II ) and $905^{\circ}C$(precursor III) for 20 min. Tl-1223 phase content, grain size and J\ulcorner in the tapes appeared to increase in an order of precursors I, II and III Compared to tapes prepared using an unreacted precursor, the tapes prewar ed using precursors II and III revealed reduced pore and impurity densities and an enhanced texture. Also characteristic of inter -granular contacts and fraction of strong-links were improved. The improved properties are attributed to enhanced densification resulting from using the reacted precursors.s.

극저농도 NDMA(N-nitrosodimethylamine) 물리적/생물학적 처리 효율 비교 평가 (Evaluation and Comparative Physical/Biological Removal Performance for Extremely Low-Concentration NDMA(N-nitrosodimethylamine))

  • NDMA(N-Nitrosodimethylamine)는 극저농도(10ng/L)에서도 암을 일으킬 수 있는 물질로 알려져 있지만, 기존의 NDMA 제거율 평가 연구는 고농도의 NDMA를 대상으로 한 것이 대부분이었다. 따라서 극저농도의 NDMA 제거효율 평가가 필요하며 그 기초연구로써 호기성/혐기성 조건에서의 분말활성탄, GS(Granular Sludge), MF(Microfiltration), UF(Ultrafiltration)를 이용한 제거효율과 Silica gel(MCM-41, Diatomite, Spherical silica gel)을 이용한 제거효율을 평가하였다. 그 결과 혐기성 조건에서 GS, PAC를 접촉한 후 UF membrane을 이용한 고액분리가 65%의 제거율로 가장 높았으며, Silica gel(MCM-41)이 6%의 제거율로 가장 낮았다. 본 연구는 극저농도의 NDMA 제거의 기초 연구로서 향후 관련 연구의 기초자료로써 활용을 기대한다.

Y2O3 세라믹스의 미세구조 및 플라즈마 저항성 (Microstructure and plasma resistance of Y2O3 ceramics)

  • $Y_2O_3$ 세라믹 소결체를 제작하기 위해, $Y_2O_3$ 분말을 분산한 상태에서 슬러리에 pH 조절제인 NaOH를 첨가하였으며 결합제로는 PVA, 가소제로는 PEG를 첨가하여 열분무 건조 공정을 거쳐 $Y_2O_3$ 과립형 분말을 제조하였다. ${\phi}14mm$ 크기의 $Y_2O_3$ 세라믹 성형체를 성형하고, $1650^{\circ}C$의 온도에서 소결하여 $Y_2O_3$ 세라믹 소결체를 제작하였다. $Y_2O_3$ 소결체의 미세구조, 밀도 및 내플라즈마 특성이 성형압력 및 소결시간에 따라 분석되었다. $Y_2O_3$ 소결체는 $CHF_3/O_2/Ar$ 플라즈마에 노출시켜, $Ar^+$ 이온빔에 의한 물리적반응 식각과 $CHF_3$로부터 분해된, $F^-$ 이온에 의한 화학적반응 식각에 의한 건식 식각 처리가 이루어졌다. 본 연구에서 $Y_2O_3$ 소결체 소결시간의 증가에 따라, 비교적 높은 밀도를 나타내었으며, 내플라즈마 특성이 향상되는 것으로 나타났다.

Monascus spp.를 이용한 콩 메주의 효소활성에 미치는 쌀 첨가효과 (Effect of Rice Addition on Enzyme Activities of Soybean Meju Fermented by Monascus spp.)

  • Monascus속 곰팡이를 이용한 메주의 효소류 활성을 조사하기 위하여 M perpureus와 M. pilasus의 두 균주를 사용하여 쌀 메주와 콩 메주의 효소활성을 조사하였다. M Manascus 백미 및 백미붙말 메주의 효소휴 활성은 전반 적으로 M pilasus를 사용한 경우에 높았다 Prote잃e 활 성응 쌀 분말 메주가 남알상태의 쌀 메주에 비하여 높 았으나. ($\alpha$-amylase, $\beta$-amylase 및 glucoamyJa않는 날알 쌀 메주에서 높았다. 균주 배양액을 사용한 콩 메주는 효소활성온 높았으나 외관적 품질이 양호하지 못히였다. 균주 배양액 10%와 쌀 분말을 0-12% 범위로 챔 가한 결과 prot,않se의 활성온 두 균주 다같이 10%일 때 최대를 나타내었다. ($\alpha$-anylase의 활성은 쌀 분말의 첨가량이 2%일 때 가장 낮았으나 첨가량이 증가할수록 활성이 증가하였다 $\beta$-와nylase와 gluecoamnylase의 훨-성 은 우 균주 다같이 쌀 분말의 첨가량이 증가할수록 감소하였다 메주용 균주로는 M pilosus몹가 양호하였으며 이 균의 쌀 메주 분말을 증자 콩에 10% 되게 첨가 하여 발효시킨 콩 메주는 일반 Aspergillus oryzzae 콩 메주에 비하여 protease 활성은 높았다. 그러나 $\beta$-amylase 와 glueoarnylase는 약 50% 이하의 활성을 나타내었다.

  • In this paper deals with behavior of the magnetic abrasive using sludge on polishing characteristics in a new internal finishing of seamless stainless steel tube applying magnetic abrasive polishing. The magnetic abrasive using sludge-abrasive grain WA and GC used to resin bond fabricated low temperature. And sludge of magnetic abrasive powder fabricated that sludge was crused into 200 mesh. The previous research have made an experiment in the static state the movement of magnetic abrasive grain is nevertheless in the dynamic state. In this paper, We could have investigated into the changes of the movement of magnetic abrasive grain. In reference to this result, we could have made the experiment which is set under the condition of the magnetic flux density, polishing velocity according to the form of magnetic brush.

인광석분말을 증량제로 사용한 연초(煙草)재배용 복합비료(10-0-30)의 조립(造粒)특성 및 비효 (Granulation Characteristics of Mono-granular NPK(10-0-30) Fertilizer Incorporated with Rock-Phosphate Powder and its Effects on Tobacco Plant)

  • 조립 복합비료의 증량제를 점토광물 대신 인광석분말로 대체하여 연초용 복합비료(10-0-30)조립시험을 수행했다. 황산칼리 60%, 요소 22%, 인광석 18%로 조성된 분말에 10% 인산액을 점결제로 조립한 결과 소량의 점결제로서 양호하게 조립되었으며 입자분포, 입자경도, 수중 붕괴도, 흡습성 등 물리성이 매우 이상적인 입자로 조사되었다. 담배직물을 묘상기, 본포기로 나누어 폿트 비효실험 결과 생육기간이 짧은 묘상에서는 시제품의 생육이 부진하였고 본포기 폿트 재배시험에서도 인산축적이 없는 개간지 토양에서는 생육이 부진하였으나 인산이 축적된 숙전에서는 정상적으로 생육하였다.

Al-Si-SiC 복합분말과 Al-Zn-Mg계 합금분말이 혼합된 분말의 소결 거동 및 기계적 특성연구 (Investigation on the Sintering Behavior and Mechanical Properties of Al-Zn-Mg Alloy Powders Mixed with Al-Si-SiC Composite Powders)

  • Al-Si-SiC composite powders with intra-granular SiC particles were prepared by a gas atomization process. The composite powders were mixed with Al-Zn-Mg alloy powders as a function of weight percent. Those mixture powders were compacted with the pressure of 700 MPa and then sintered at the temperature of $565-585^{\circ}C$. T6 heat treatment was conducted to increase their mechanical properties by solid-solution precipitates. Each relative density according to the optimized sintering temperature of those powders were determined as 96% at $580^{\circ}C$ for Al-Zn-Mg powders (composition A), 97.9% at $575^{\circ}C$ for Al-Zn-Mg powders with 5 wt.% of Al-Si-SiC powders (composition B), and 98.2% at $570^{\circ}C$ for Al-Zn-Mg powders with 10 wt.% of Al-Si-SiC powders (composition C), respectively. Each hardness, tensile strength, and wear resistance test of those sintered samples was conducted. As the content of Al-Si-SiC powders increased, both hardness and tensile strength were decreased. However, wear resistance was increased by the increase of Al-Si-SiC powders. From these results, it was confirmed that Al-Si-SiC/Al-Zn-Mg composite could be highly densified by the sintering process, and thus the composite could have high wear resistance and tensile strength when the content of Al-Si-SiC composite powders were optimized.
