Environmental professional education in Korea has been mostly concentrated on the scientific and technological approaches to environmental problems. Many undergraduate majors in environmental engineering or sciences are designed to produce more technical manpowers in environmental fields. Most graduate schools on the environment also place an emphasis on teaching the technical aspects of environmental problems. Some environmental administration related courses, such as environmental law, environmental administration, environmental policy, environmental economics, environmental impact assessments, etc. are partically reflected in some curricula of very limited graduate or undergraduate environment majors. However, teaching environmental administration related courses in science or engineering major institutions has not been successfully carried out so far because lack of interests in such courses by most students and the shortage of competent teachers as well. Furthermore, those courses are not widely accepted by the departments of law, political science, public administration, etc. because their major interests are not in the environment-oriented. Environmental problems cannot be solved by the technical approach along. They should be systematically dealt with through interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary approaches, including natural and social sciences covering all relevant disciplines. in this respect, undergraduate environmental education should preferably cover broader courses on the environment, and the education for environmental professionals, including environmental administration specialists, is preferably handled by graduate schools offering many specialty area courses. Education for environmental administration specialist at graduate level is urgently needed in order to supply the competent manpower at government, business, and private organization levels dealing with environmental administration related problem. This is a new challenging area and the education for such specialists will become more important in the near future than technical manpowers which we ate now concentrating on their education.

The purpose of this study is to suggest problems and directions for improvement, focusing on the master's course at the Graduate School of Education, among the career guidance counselor training programs. First, in the case of career education counseling major education graduate school fostering system, ① 3 universities in Seoul, 2 in Gyeonggi-do, 1 in Incheon, 1 in Gangwon, 1 in Daegu, 1 in Jeonbuk, 3 in Chungnam, and 1 in Chungbuk, a total of 13 Opened in 20 universities. ② Most schools operate in a dual system. ③ As a major in career counseling, there is a maximum of 26 courses and a minimum of 10 courses for the master's course in the graduate school of education. Second, what are the problems and improvement directions of the career counseling graduate school training system? ① It is necessary to prepare a standardized curriculum. ② It is necessary to operate education to strengthen connection with the local community. ③ There is a need to resolve the level gap between the 13 graduate schools of education and the lack of faculty members at some universities. ④ Career education policy department of the Ministry of Education needs to periodically evaluate 13 education graduate schools. ⑤ The role of the career policy department of the Ministry of Education is to establish a mid- too long-term plan at the national level considering the demand and supply of career guidance counselors nationwide. ⑥ It is desirable to dualize the way to obtain a career guidance counselor license as it is now.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of reduced plantar cutaneous sensation on gait kinematics during walking with and without CAI. Method: A total of 20 subjects involved in this study and ten healthy subjects and 10 CAI subjects participated underwent ice-immersion of the plantar aspect of the feet before walking test in this study. The gait kinematics were measured before and after ice-immersion. Results: We observed a before ice-immersion on plantar cutaneous sensation, CAI subject were found to reduced ankle dorsiflexion, knee external rotation, hip adduction, and internal rotation compared to control subject. After ice-immersion, CAI subjects were found to reduce knee external rotation, hip adduction. However, no significant ankle joint kinematics. Conclusion: While walking, gait pattern differences were perceived between groups with and without plantar cutaneous sensation. The results of the study may explain the abductions in the hip angle movements in CAI patients at initial contact compared to healthy subjects in the control group when plantar cutaneous sensation was reduced. A change in proximal joint kinematics may be a conservative strategy to promote normal gait patterns in CAI patients.

Objectives : Korea faces a number of challenges to meet demands in the area of geriatric professional medicine in a country with a rapidly ageing population. We evaluated the satisfaction and feasibility of the current education certification for geriatric physicians. Methods : Geriatric physicians who were deemed qualified by the Korean Geriatrics Society during the period of 2001 to 2005 (n=2,200) were asked to complete structured questionnaires sent to them by mail about their satisfaction of and need for certificates of education, as well as their opinions on their geriatric specialty training. A total of 419 physicians responded. Descriptive analysis and hierarchical regression were performed to rate the respondents' satisfaction, the characteristics of the need for clarity and utility in education certification, and the characteristics of their patients. Results : Although most respondents were satisfied with their education certification, those who had more elderly patients, aged 65 or older, and those who had more cognitively impaired patients, rated their education as significantly lower than did other physicians. Both groups expressed the need for more the comprehensive care and assessment concerning of their education. Multiple regression analysis indicated that satisfaction with geriatric physician qualification was associated with a physician's age, specialty, and percentage of elderly patients. Conclusions : This study suggests that the current system of education certification is limited in terms of feasibility and physician satisfaction.

This study aims to find ways to qualify lifelong education professionals for the disabled based on the convergence curriculum between the "department of vocational special education in university-educated graduate school" and "major department". The research method was composed of a combination of literature analysis and expert meetings. The research contents include the qualifications for the training course for the lifelong education professionals for the disabilities established in the convergence curriculum after accumulating the teaching experience in the majors that can be restructured as lifelong education institutions for the disabled. In addition, the focus of the curriculum of the "department of vocational special education in university-educated graduate school" should be improved in order to foster and integrate lifelong education professionals for the disabled. The results of the study concluded that the functional relationship between vocational special education and lifelong education for the disabled was established.

The purpose of this study is to present a caddie education program that can improve the performance of golf caddies in China by comparing and analyzing the golf caddie education programs in South Korea and China. Caddie education programs were collected from 4 golf clubs, 3 professional caddie education institutions and 8 public institutions in South Korea and 6 golf clubs and 2 professional caddie education institutions in China. The following results were obtained. Although the caddie training in China is conducted over more time and term than in South Korea, it is necessary to have an education program considering golf expertise and quality of customer service. Therefore, the caddie education program in China is composed of golf related education(golf etiquette, golf practice skill), caddie duty training(safety management, customer service and image making), and training for caddie(fitness management, injury prevention, skin care, and cost-saving etc.). In the future, the Chinese golf club industry will has a potential to develop. In order to provide a consistent and systematic education, manual training on caddie education and training on caddie master to manage caddies should be conducted.

최근에 들어와 언제, 어디서나, 무엇이든, 누구라도 하나의 단말로 연결되는 유비쿼터스 시대가 본격적으로 도래하고 있다. 유비쿼터스 시대의 개막은 교육 환경에서도 적용되는데 언제 어디서나 수월성, 보편성, 보충 교육 등 다양한 학습 서비스를 학습자 스스로 선택해 참여함으로써 교육 부문의 유비쿼터스 서비스 모델을 도출하고 극복해야 할 과제를 분석하여 유비쿼터스 시대의 교육환경에서의 바람직한 대응방안을 제시하고자 한다.

컴퓨터용어에 대한 약어들을 기존 사건관리 방법에서 벗어나 컴퓨터에 수록하여, 음성을 포함한 한글 및 영문풀이 조회, 추가등록, 삭제, 수정을 가능케 하여 어휘변화 및 의미파악에 신속히 대처하고, 영문, 한글 단어를 이용한 약어검색 기능과 시스템에서 임의로 문제를 출제, 학습자 수준을 측정해볼 수 있는 컴퓨터 보조학습(CAI)과 knowledge base 교체시 타분야에서 활용이 가능하도록 DB화한 약어 전문가체제로, 업무 활용자(학습자)와 컴퓨터 상호작용에 의한 개인차를 극복할 수 있도록 컴퓨터용어 약어 전자사전을 설계하였다.

These days, with the emphasis on statistical literacy, the importance of communication is the focus of attention. Communication about statistics is important since it is a way of describing the understanding of concepts and the interpretation of data. However, students usually have trouble with expressing what they understand, especially through writing. In this paper, we examined preservice teachers' difficulties when they wrote about statistical concepts. By comparing preservice teachers' written responses and interview transcripts of the variance concept task, we could find the missing information in their written language compared to their verbal language. From the results, we found that preservice teachers had difficulty in connecting terms contextually and conceptually, presenting various factors of the concepts that they considered, and presenting the problem solving strategies that they used.
