  • Cloud computing is a new paradigm that adopts a pay-as-you-go business model. So, clients can ues the various resources, although they have not own the resources. Already, three big players of IT industry, namely Amazon, Google and Microsoft, develop the many applications for cloud computing. In this paper, we describe the data consistency requirements for cloud computing. Data characteristics of cloud computing is replicated, distributed and large-scaled. And consistency and availability of data cannot be satisfied simultaneously. In this paper, we categorized the applications of cloud computing, and describe requirements of consistency criteria for applications. With this result, we can make the base of consistency criteria that can be adapted for cloud computing, in the near future.

  • As the struggle to get a job becomes increasingly ferocious year after year, the website offering a range of employment information have continued to gain popularity. Those website, however, are not of much help when it comes to an interview to face the interviewer. Furthermore, many people suffer depression due to the heavy stress they are under while making preparations for employment or working for an organization. The current employment website do not have a team of professionals to deal with such issues. In an effort to solve those problems, the present study made arrangements to allow users to put in an enormous amount of employment information based on Google App Engine(GAE) and Google Web Toolkit(GWT) and upload interview videos. In addition, a Q&A board was created to help those who prepare for employment or current workers relieve their stress and provide them with access to a team of counseling professionals.

  • Cloud computing is an Internet-based technology, one of the Big Data era aspiring technology. Bring on the internet whenever you need to use multiple physical servers into one virtual server, cloud Cloud technology and large companies, such as leading U.S. IT company, Amazon, IBM, Google, Microsoft and the domestic firm Samsung, SK, KT, NHN the cloud market at home and abroad, and commercialization by investing in the future to continue to grow. The main reason for the introduction of the cloud and reduced operating costs, and to see the most problems is the leakage of personal information. In this paper, we propose a method to improve the security and vulnerability analysis of security technologies and cloud.

An Exploratory Study on the Derivation of Characteristics of Personal Cloud Computing (개인용 클라우드 컴퓨팅의 특성 도출에 관한 탐색적 연구)

  • Recently, cloud computing has been viewed as a technology of great influence. Despite the importance of personal cloud services, the majority of cloud computing studies has been focused on an enterprise level. Therefore, in this research, we list variables of personal cloud computing characteristics (accessibility, storage, trust, perceived ease of use, availability) from preceding research done on an enterprise level. So, through pilot testing, we analyze whether examined characteristic variables affect the intention to use personal cloud computing. Next, we investigate the relevancy between user characteristics, including gender, age, and occupation, and the usage rate of personal cloud computing. Lastly, we implement an analysis of variance in order to speculate whether there is any difference between the five characteristic variables in using personal cloud computing between cloud service enterprises. For empirical testing people with experience in personal cloud computing are surveyed. Frequency analysis, exploratory factor analysis, internal consistency analysis, T-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis are implemented with 325 valid samples. The analysis results are as follows: First, among user characteristic variables, 'occupation' shows a significant relationship with cloud service usage, Second, between cloud service enterprises, all five characteristic variables of 'Naver N Drive' are thoroughly evaluated and 'Google Drive' receives a high evaluation in availability and accessibility. Third and finally, all of the selected characteristic variables affect the intention to use personal cloud computing. However, availability is identified to be the most important factor. This research will serve as a reference to enterprises for the practical implementation of personal cloud computing service.

  • In recent times, IaaS (Infrastructure as a Services) have been rapidly evolving to allow developers to easily and efficiently access work in the server and network areas for development of a web of App based on cloud computing. In this study, we developed the collaborative image editing tool App based on Cloud-computing, by adopting AWS of representative company that develops IaaS. First, it is crucial to understand various situation conditions for representative infrastructure services: AWS, Azure and Google (GCP). This may have the effect of reducing manpower and development time, but as each company has different policy and technical support, we need a new study every time the environment changes of infrastructure services. We tried to develop a hybrid-App so that users with various devices can collaborate work each other by utilizing the infrastructure service AWS through the process of developing the image editing authoring tool based on the cloud computing. The future studies should continue about compatibility issues and support issues in order to minimize the problems of overseas infrastructure services, but we think that domestic cloud computing policies and developments should be urgently considered.

Awareness and Use of Cloud Computing Services and Technologies by Librarians in Selected Universities in Edo State

  • This study examined the awareness and use of cloud computing services by librarians in selected universities in Edo State. A descriptive survey research design was employed and the instrument used was questionnaire. The population of the study was 132 professional and Para-professional librarians. The total enumeration technique was used to select the entire population because the size was manageable. Simple percentage, frequency count, and mean were used to analyze the data collected. From the analysis of data gathered, it was found that the librarians are aware of the use of OCLC, world cat, and Google docs to a very high extent. It was found that the librarians used cloud computing services and technologies for collection development functions and cataloging. Based on the findings it was recommended that management of the libraries should support librarians by providing adequate funding to the library in order to support the acquisition and maintenance of infrastructure for cloud computing.

  • The smartphone is the communication device that is the most personal to the user, and it keeps a lot of information related to the user and makes information communication with other devices. With these characteristics, forensics on smartphones are one of the most basic methods of investigation in criminal investigations, and have actually contributed to the settlement of the case by providing many clues. However, recently, it is designed to encrypt data stored as a social issue related to the protection of user's personal information, or to delete deleted data or to delete log data together. So, any solutions? In this paper, I try to find the answer from cloud data stored by smartphone user account. Cloud forensics should approach complementary relationships rather than smartphone forensics. There are a lot of data stored in the cloud that can be meaningfully used in the investigation. Online activity information of users, such as Internet usage, YouTube view, and contents purchase information, cloud service such as e-mail, cloud drive, and location information are the most representative data. These data can be unvaluable, but here are some important clues in various types of criminal investigations. In this paper, I propose a method to extract data from the google cloud so that the data can be used for investigation, and to utilize the extracted data for investigation. And it explains the role of the extracted artifacts in the actual investigation business through virtual cases and proves its value.

Research of Water-related Disaster Monitoring Using Satellite Bigdata Based on Google Earth Engine Cloud Computing Platform (구글어스엔진 클라우드 컴퓨팅 플랫폼 기반 위성 빅데이터를 활용한 수재해 모니터링 연구)

  • Due to unpredictable climate change, the frequency of occurrence of water-related disasters and the scale of damage are also continuously increasing. In terms of disaster management, it is essential to identify the damaged area in a wide area and monitor for mid-term and long-term forecasting. In the field of water disasters, research on remote sensing technology using Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite images for wide-area monitoring is being actively conducted. Time-series analysis for monitoring requires a complex preprocessing process that collects a large amount of images and considers the noisy radar characteristics, and for this, a considerable amount of time is required. With the recent development of cloud computing technology, many platforms capable of performing spatiotemporal analysis using satellite big data have been proposed. Google Earth Engine (GEE)is a representative platform that provides about 600 satellite data for free and enables semi real time space time analysis based on the analysis preparation data of satellite images. Therefore, in this study, immediate water disaster damage detection and mid to long term time series observation studies were conducted using GEE. Through the Otsu technique, which is mainly used for change detection, changes in river width and flood area due to river flooding were confirmed, centered on the torrential rains that occurred in 2020. In addition, in terms of disaster management, the change trend of the time series waterbody from 2018 to 2022 was confirmed. The short processing time through javascript based coding, and the strength of spatiotemporal analysis and result expression, are expected to enable use in the field of water disasters. In addition, it is expected that the field of application will be expanded through connection with various satellite bigdata in the future.

  • After the concept of Cloud Computing was first introduced, IT industry had focused on it. The Cloud Computing market is increasing as many major coporations have been participating in it. Now, the possibility of Mobile Cloud Computing has rising. Needless to say, the growth of Mobile Cloud Computing is explosive. Mobile industry changes its operational system from FeaturePhone to SmartPhone which are based on iPhone or Android. The number of Smart phone users in Korea exceeds 10 millions. Through this study, we will examine sorts and acctual situations of available domestic and international Mobile Cloud Computing Services in SmartPhone. Also, we will investigate the problems of current Mobile Cloud Computing and present the solutions.
