  • Anoxic-oxic process were analyzed numerically for the each unit and final TN effluent by Water Quality Management(WQM) model and the results were compared data from these sewage or wastewater treatment plants. No bugs and logic error were occurred during simulation work. All of the simulation results tried to two times were obtained and both results were almost same thus this model has good reappearance. A few of simulation results were deviated with measured data because lack of influent water qualities are reported however simulation results have wholly good relationship with measured data. Also each unit of simulation result was kept good relationship with that of measured data therefore this WQM model has good reliance. Finally, WQM model predicts final TN effluent within ${\pm}4.1\;mg/{\ell}$

  • Recently, medical humanities education has begun to take up an increased proportion of the Korean medical curriculum. Many people now agree that not only basic medicine and clinical medicine but also medical humanities is needed in medical education. The aims of medical humanities education should dawn now. 'Medical humanities' can be roughly defined as "the interdisciplinary study and activity at the intersection of the humanities, social science, arts, and medicine." People tend to assume that the aim of medical humanities education is to produce good doctors, that is, physicians who contribute to society. Actually, cultivating good doctors is one of the proper aims of medical humanities education. In addition to it, another aim of medical humanities education should be cultivating happy doctors. Nowadays, many of Korea's physicians feel unhappy. In such a situation, medical humanities education should be aimed at developing happiness in medical trainees.

  • High temperature superconductor shows a good electric and magnetic properties and is known as a good candidate in various electronic device application. At present the technique to construct multilayers composed of HTS films and insulator films has not been fully studied in domestic research institutes. Since the construction of any reasonable eletronic devices require the use of multilayers, the development of HTS eletronic devices has been limited. To manufacture multiplayer, several processing steps which involve deposition and ion millings are required. To manufacture a good quality multilayerd structure, not only the deposition techniques but also the proper patterning have to be developed. In this work, we have fabricated a YBCO/STO/YBCO multiplayer and studied the electronic properties of it.

  • The purpose of this article is to discuss the enhancement of medical professionalism and the artisan spirit proposed by Yu and to suggest curriculum content and methods to improve medical professionalism. Professionals are those who can share their knowledge with others and proceed under self-reflection on moral values and social expectations. The goal of medical education is to cultivate students to be good as well as to do well. To achieve this goal, educators should foster students to be good doctors for 99% of patients, rather than to be high performers for 1% of patients. There are two types of curriculum for medical professionalism: hidden and formative curricula. In these curricula, we doctors may be good role models for medical students. The curriculum contents and the methods for implementation that are based on accumulated experience can be embedded into education on professionalism. In addition, as suggested by Miller, how to evaluate medical professionalism based on a framework of clinical assessment must be discussed. Finally, it is suggested that the process of education on medical professionalism should be a kind of cultural movement to raise good doctors.

  • This study was conducted to identify the social support to living alone elderly in some rural communities and the level of life satisfaction. For the purpose of this study, face-to-face interviews and questionnaire were performed with 315 old people(male 43 and female 272) aged over 65 living alone in rural communities covered by 14 community health posts within Gyeongsangbuk-do Province randomly selected. The followings are summaries of findings; The average score of support from their children was $4.29{\pm}2.73$ out of 8. Variables that showed a significant difference were religion, level of living, type of medical insurance, frequency of meeting with children, time taken from houses of children by usual means of transportation, and subjective health status. It was found that the score of support from children was high for the elderly who had a religion, a good level of living, benefit from medical insurance, a high frequency of meeting with children, or a good subjective health status, or who resided close to their children's houses. The level of the support from friends and relatives showed a significant difference depending on the subjective health status, of which the average score was $4.13{\pm}2.61$ out of 8. The average score of the level of life satisfaction was $6.83{\pm}4.24$(male $7.60{\pm}4.09$ and female $6.71{\pm}4.26$) out of 17. Male elderly showed the higher level of life satisfaction than female elderly. Variables that showed a statistically significant difference in the level of life satisfaction were religion, level of living, medical insurance, hobby, children, disease, subjective health status, and ADL. That is, the level of satisfaction with life was found to be higher for the elderly who had a religion, a good level of living, benefit from medical insurance, a hobby, children, no diseases, or a good ADL, or who thought that they are healthy. The regression analysis with support from children as a dependent variable showed that the level of support from children was higher for the elderly who had a good level of living, frequency of meeting with children, or a good subjective health status. The regression analysis with the level of support from friends or relatives was higher for old people who had a good level of living. The regression analysis with the level of life satisfaction as a dependent variable showed that the factors which related to the level of satisfaction were sex, religion, level of living, hobby, ADL, and subjective health status. That is, it was found that for male elderly who had a religion, a good level of living or a hobby, or who thought that they were healthy, the level of life satisfaction was higher.

  • This study was attempted to suggest a direction for future research on good death by analyzing and synthesizing research trends on good death. For this purpose, 66 articles related to good death published in academic journals in Korea from 2011 to 2021 were analyzed based on the analysis frame of references. As a result, the year with the most good death studies was 2019 (18.2%). In the analysis by research design, 52 articles (78.8%) were the most quantitative studies, and 36 studies (54.5%) were survey studies. In the field of research, nursing studies were the most researched with 47 articles (71.2%), but multidisciplinary studies were three articles (4.5%). The subjects of the good death study were mainly the aged in the community and nursing students, each of which was 13 (19.7%), but the studies for patients were published only four articles (6.1%). The most used tool was the perception of a good death and conducted in in 38 articles (73.1%). The main research variables were the the perception of good death and hospice palliative and end-of-life care, and family support was used as mediating variables. Therefore, not only multidisciplinary research but also development research for vaious good death instruments may be suggested to comprehensively understand good death.

  • A series of monoazo disperse dyes based on 2-amino-4-phenylthiazole was prepared using various N,N-dialkvlaniline derivatives as the coupling component. The dyes were characterized by IR spectral studies, visible absorption spectroscopy and elemental analysis. The dyeing performance of these dyes was assessed on cellulose triacetate and nylon fibers. These dyes were found to give a wide range of colour shades varying from bright red to royal blue with very good depth, brightness and levelness on fibers. The dyed fibers showed good to very good light fastness and very good to excellent fastness to washing, perspiration, rubbing and sublimation. The dyebath exhaustion and fixation on the fibers were found to be very good.

  • What constitutes a good mathematics lesson plan? In their teacher education program, preservice teachers (PSTs) are trained for planning mathematics instruction but often have difficulty in evaluating existing lesson plans and creating their own lesson plans. The purpose of this narrative inquiry is to understand PSTs' experiences of evaluating or designing mathematics lessons that they perceive as being good. The narratives of three PSTs who pursue high school mathematics teaching certification will inform us not only of their perceptions of a good mathematics lesson and lesson plan but also their process of finding the one that exists or creating their own.
