Onycholysis is defined as a distal or distal lateral separation of the nail plate from the underlying or lateral supporting structures including nail bed, hyponychium, and lateral nail fold. Trauma, infection, psoriasis, thyrotoxicosis, and numerous drugs are common causes of onycholysis. However, there are few specific data on nail findings in Behcet's disease (BD). In this paper, we report on a 60-year-old man with BD, with no past history except BD, who developed recurrent onycholysis. The symptoms of onycholysis are considered to be recurrent depending on the activity of BD. The nail lesion showed improvement after classic treatment of BD and topical steroid ointment.

Objective : We compare the nurturing theories of Between the Nurturing Theory of Dogyogwonseonseo(道敎勸善書) JeungjungGyeongsinrok(增訂敬信錄), Gyeongsinrokeonseok(敬信錄諺釋), Taisanggauempyeondosul(太上感應篇圖說) and Guahwajonsin(過化存神) vs Dongui-Susebowon-Sasang-Chobongwon(東醫壽世保元四象草本卷) and Dongui-Susebowon(東醫壽世保元) of Lee-Jema. And the influences that Dogyogwonseonseo had on Nurturing Theory of Lee-Jema. Method : We sort out the identical or similar vocabularies and abstract the important concepts from all four kinds of Dogyogwonseonseo and two kinds of Lee-Jema's books mentioned above and compare them respectively. The prehistories of vocabularies and concepts needed such as Bok(福, good fortune) and Su (壽, longevity) will be traced. And the synchronic understanding needed such as 'Good deed leads to longevity and good fortune whereas evil deed leads to short life' in late Choseon dynasty will be surveyed by investigating the controversy of the time. Results : The Nurturing Theory of Lee-Jema was influenced by all four kinds of Dogyogwonseonseo mentioned above. We can ascertain the influence from Lee-Jema's Concept of Myeong(命), Nurturing Life through everyday life, 'Good deed leads to longevity and good fortune whereas evil deed leads to short life', deceiving mind(詐心), betraying mind(欺負心) and the jealousy of Man and Woman. Conclusion : The influences Dogyogwonseonseo had on Lee-Jema's nurturing theory were key concept words such as Myeong(命), the ways of thinking like 'Good deed leads to longevity and good fortune whereas evil deed leads to short life' and vocabularies such as deceiving mind(詐心).

The basic for the achievement of the community forestry rests within the Community Forest User Groups (CFUGs). They are responsible to establish good governance, sustainable forest management and improve people's livelihoods. The study aimed to assess the governance score prevailing in CFUGs using stratified random sampling. Our study shows the governance score of 64.17% in community forests with highest 73.94% in Bhotechaur community forest and lowest 56.60% in Tinkanya community forest. Among the eight elements of good governance, consensus-oriented was found highest while responsiveness was lowest in the study area. Further, the independent variables such as well-being ranking (χ²=21.695, df=6, p<0.01), source of income (χ²=20.474, df=6, p<0.01) and education status (χ²=17.450, df=6, p<0.01) has significant impact on governance. Based upon the findings, it is very clear that good governance in CFs are more than average but still not up to the mark. Finally, it calls for rethinking that involving all the stakeholders during planning phases delineating the responsibility and power for correspondents can make possible in achieving sustainability in community forest.

A variety of competencies for good teaching in mathematics has been discussed. It has been expected that there is discordance between researchers and teachers' perspectives on the competencies. We attempted to investigate teachers' perspectives rather than researchers' to narrow the possible discordance. First, we built a list of competencies for good teaching that mathematics teachers should meet by reviewing literatures. Second, we investigated mathematics teachers' perceptions about what requirements teachers should meet for good teaching, how mathematics learning experiences at the university level influence teachers' competence cultivation, and how pre-service teacher education influence teachers' competence building. Based on the results, we discussed mathematics teachers' competencies for good teaching and provided implications for pre-service teacher education.

Due to its salient features, the optical burst switch is becoming a key technology for the optical Internet. Within this technology, the survivability issue in the optical Internet has to be addressed because a simple failure causes severe damage to the huge amount of data carried in optical fiber. In this paper, we introduce a restoration procedure that can provide good survivability in the optical burst switch (OBS)-based optical Internet. OBS restoration can survive various types of network failure while maintaining good network performance. We propose novel restoration mechanisms, namely, "temporary Label Switched Path (LSP)" and "bossy LSP," to enhance restoration time and network utilization. The simulation results verify that the proposed OBS restoration achieves good network performance and provides good network connectivity as well.

Background: Lobular keloid appears to be a consequence of hypertrophic inflammation secondary to ear piercings performed under unsterile conditions. We wish to understand the pathogenesis of lobular keloids and report operative outcomes with a literature review. Methods: A retrospective review identified 40 cases of lobular keloids between January, 2005 and December, 2010. Patient records were reviewed for preclinical factors such as presence of inflammation after ear piercing prior to keloid development, surgical management, and histopathologic correlation to recurrence. Results: The operation had been performed by surgical core extirpation or simple excision, postoperative lobular compression, and scar ointments. Perivascular infiltration was noted in intra- and extra-keloid tissue in 70% of patients. The postoperative recurrence rate was 10%, and most of the patients satisfied with treatment outcomes. Conclusion: Histological perivascular inflammation is a prominent feature of lobular keloids. Proper surgical treatment, adjuvant treatments, and persistent follow-up observation were sufficient in maintaining a relatively low rates of recurrence.

Objectives : The aim of this study was to suggest the optimal cut off for best, very good, good, slightly bad, and bad grades. Methods : The subjects were recruited from 4 areas of South Korea and 487 questionnaires were analyzed. The nominal and continuous self-rated health questions were used to reveal the optimal cut off and the Short Form-12 Health Survey questionnaire (SF-12) was additionally used. Frequency, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and ROC-curve analysis were used; the significance level was <.05. Results : Subjects assigned 15(3.1%), 90(18.5%), 237(48.7%), 130(26.7%), and 15(3.1%) to best, very good, good, slightly bad and bad groups respectively. The self-rated health score was associated with total Component (r=.563, p<.001), Physical Component (r=.520, p<.001) and Mental Component of SF-12 (r=.303, p<.001). The optimal cut off was 80.5, 70.5, 53.5, and 40.5 for best, very good or more, good or more, and under slightly bad respectively and area under curve was 0.898, 0.908, 0.945, and 0.908 accordingly. Conclusions : This study suggests that the self-rated health score and grade could be integrated with the optimal cut off.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the initial skeletal pattern and growth change of whom had responsed well to chincap therapy. 93 patients seleted for this study were in mixed dentition and treated with chincap for more than 2 years. And 54 subjects were selected from these total samples and classified into two groups by the improvement of four measurements : ANB difference, APDI, Wits appraisal, and AF-BF. One was good response group which consisted of 26 children and the other was poor response group with 19 patients. Various measures of the craniofacial structure in the initial lateral cephalograms and the annual increments were calculated and analyzed by comparing two groups with t-test. The results were as follows : 1. Good response group had more horizontal growth pattern in initial stage of treatment than poor response group, and the contributing factors of this result were anterior posterior facial height ratio, gonial angle, lower genial angle and SN-mandibular plane angle. 2. The maxilla was positioned more anteriorly in good response group. 3. The amounts of vertical growth of maxilla was smaller but the horizontal growth of maxilla was larger in good response group. 4. The mandible rotated more infero-posteriorly in good response group. 5. The good response group had more vertical growth pattern of mandibular condyle.

A good arithmetic random number generator should possess full period, uniformity and independence, etc. To obtain the excellent random number generator, many researchers have found good parameters. Also an initial seed is the important factor in random number generator. But, there is no theoretical guideline for using the initial seeds. Therefore, random number generator is usually used with the arbitrary initial seed. Through the empirical tests, we show that the choice of the initial values for the seed is important to generate good random numbers.
