저피탐 위성항법 신호 설계를 위한 암호화된 확산부호의 상관 특성에 관한 연구 (Correlation Property of Encrypted Spreading Code for Design of LPI Applied GNSS Signal)

  • 본 논문에서는 저피탐 특성을 강화하기 위해 암호화된 수열을 확산부호로 사용하는 위성항법신호의 통계적 특성을 이론적으로 분석하고 간섭 저항 성능을 예측한다. 이를 위해 다양한 복소 단위원 심볼셋으로 암호화된 수열의 상관특성을 이론적으로 분석하고, 이를 토대로 기존의 Gold 코드나 Zadoff-Chu 코드와 암호화된 확산부호와의 간섭 저항 성능 차이를 이론적/실험적으로 분석하여 암호화된 확산부호의 적용으로 인한 신호 품질 열화 정도를 규명한다.

  • 타이어의 센서부에서 전송된 데이터를 기반으로 주행 중인 차량의 타이어 이상 유무를 수신기의 디스플레이 장치에 표시하도록 설계된 TPMS(Tire Pressure Monitoring System)는 자동차 타이어의 온도와 압력 등을 수시로 점검하고 데이터들을 운전자에게 알려줌으로서 차량 운행을 안전하게 보조해주는 무선통신 시스템이다. 측정된 데이터 전송을 위하여 TPMS 센서부에서 자동차 내부의 신호처리부로 무선 통신을 이용하는데, 이때 각 타이어들의 간섭과 외부로부터의 간섭이 존재할 수 있다. 이러한 간섭들을 최소화하고, 효과적인 데이터 수신을 위하여 TPM S를 위한 일반적인(conventional) 빔형성기(beamformer) 기반의 스위칭 빔형성(switching beamforming) 기술을 제안한다. 또한, 각 타이어간의 간섭을 최소화하고 전력소비 감소를 위하여 각 타이어에 고유의 골드코드(Gold Code)를 부여하는 시스템을 제시하였다. 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통하여 제안된 기술의 간섭제거 성능을 확인한다.

GPS 수신기용 역확산 지연 동기 루프의 FPGA 회로 구현과 성능 분석 (FPGA circuit implementation of despreading delay lack loop for GPS receiver and preformance analysis)

  • In this paper, we implement digital circuit of despreading delay lock loop for GPS receiver. The designed system consists of Epoch signal generator, two 13bit correlators which correlates the received C/A code and the locally generated C/A code in the receiver, the C/A code generator which generates C/A code of selected satellite, and the direct digital clock synthesizer which generates the clock of the C/A code generator to control the phase and clock rate, the clock controller, and the clock divider. The designed circuit has the function of the acquisition and tracking by the autocorrelation characteristics of Gold code. The controller generates each other control signals according to the correlation value. The designed circuit is simulated to verify the logic functional performance. By using the simulator STR-2770 that generates the virtual GPS signal, the deigned FPGA chip is verified the circuit performance.

문학과 유전체 내러티브 -리차드 파워스의 생명의 책 (Literature and Genomic Narrative: Richard Powers' The Book of Life)

  • This article explores how Richard Powers' The Gold Bug Variations, an interdisciplinary novel through the new concepts of biocriticism and bioliterature is connected with literature/art and science/technology. Powers uses Edgar Allen Poe's "The Gold Bug" and Johann Sebastian Bach's "The Goldberg Variations" for decoding DNA in order to analogize a genomic metaphor. He imagines literature as "the book of life" genome, written by DNA code due to the complexity and multiplicity of the genome. His novel, as 'genomic narrative,' shows the articulation of the genomic reading, and expression in the life language through the discourses of the information technology and the rhetorical tropes in biology. New biological ideas are continually required to articulate these processes. In the present tendency of the Human Genome Project, such advanced devices as biocybernetics offer the potential to open up new possibilities to researching the complexity of the genome. This can only happen if the following two ideas are followed: One is to comply with advanced technologies for processing the rapidly increasing data of the genome sequence; The other is to admit the necessary paradigm shift in biology. As shown above, the complexity and multiplicity of the genomic reality is not so simple. We must go beyond determinism, even if representation of a biological reality reveals the possibility of expressing its constituent elements by the advanced biotechnology. Consequently, in the unstoppable advances of the art of decoding the genome, The Gold Bug Variations interrelates to the interdisciplinary approaches through the rhetorical tropes that unfold the complex discursive world of the genome. Powers shows that the complex mechanisms of the genome in the microworld of every cell as the plot of "the book of life" can be designed and written using DNA language. At the same time, his genomic reading and writing demonstrate the historical processes of the shifting center of new genomic development and polysemous interpretation.

A Novel M-ary Code-Selected Direct Sequence BPAM UWB Communication System

  • In this letter, a novel M-ary code-selected direct sequence (DS) ultra-wideband (UWB) communication system is presented. Our purpose is to achieve a high data rate by an M-ary code-selected direct sequence bipolar pulse amplitude modulation (MCSDS-BPAM) scheme. In this system, a particular DS code sequence is selected by the $log_2M$/2 bits from the DS gold code set. This scheme can accomplish both a high data rate without increasing the system bandwidth or changing the pulse shape and improve the BER with an increase of modulation level M even at a lower signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The receiver signal processing algorithm is given for an MCSDS-BPAM UWB system over an ideal AWGN channel and correlation receivers.

  • This paper shows the performances of asynchronous binary direct-sequence spread-spectrum multiple access communication systems with Rayleigh fading and White Gaussian noise. The performance measures considered are worst-case bit error probability and average SNR depending on code sequences and chip waveforms. The code sequences used are m-sequence and Gold sequence with period 31.The chip waveforms employed are rectangular, sinusoidal and something other chip waveforms.

  • The effect of code selection for a multicode DS/CDMA system is evaluated for a high deta rate transmission, The performance is evaluated in terms of bit error and outage probabilities. The multipath fading channel is modeled as a Nakagami-m distribution which has been known to be appropriate to model the multipath fading in urban as well as indoor channels. From simulation results, it is shown that the concatenated sequence of Walsh code and Gold sequence is most promising among many code selections. The considerations in this paper can be applied to the next-generation mobile communication systems such as IMT-2000 which requires high bit rate transmissions.

금 나노입자를 활용한 두부 모의피폭체에서의 선량증가 효과 평가 (Evaluation of Dose Enhancement by Gold Nanoparticles using Mathematical Head Phantom)

  • 두부 모의피폭체를 활용하여 MV X, ${\gamma}$선에서의 선량증가 효과와 금 나노입자의 크기, 물질의 농도에 대한 의존성을 평가하였다. MCNPX code를 이용하여 Monte Carlo 시뮬레이션 기법을 적용하였으며, 입사 에너지는 4, 6, 10, 15 MV X선, Co60 ${\gamma}$선을 사용하였다. 두부 모의피폭체 내에 종양을 묘사하고 내부에 25, 75, 125 nm 직경의 금 나노입자를 삽입하였다. 나노입자의 농도는 5, 15, 25 mg/g을 적용하였으며, 선량 증가 물질이 없을 때를 기준으로 하여 선량증가비를 산출하였다. 입사 에너지가 낮을수록, 선량증가 물질의 농도가 높을수록 높은 선량증가비를 나타내었다. 나노입자의 크기는 입사 에너지가 낮고, 물질의 농도가 높을수록 상대적으로 높은 의존성을 보였다. 금 나노입자를 이용한 선량증가 효과를 나타내는데 기초자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

ZCZ 부호를 이용한 상호간섭에 강인한 차량용 확산대역 레이더 방식 (Mutual Interference-resilient Vehicular Spread Spectrum Radar Using ZCZ Code)

  • We propose vehicular spread spectrum (SS) radar robust to mutual interference using zero correlation zone (ZCZ) code. SS radar schemes have been employed for vehicular radar systems due to their outstanding correlation property. However, this superiority is based on a premise that timing among codes is completely synchronized. In the practical driving environment, timing mismatch among radar signals is inevitable because the radar signals of several vehicles are independently transmitted at each different location and each timing and thus each radar signal is received at different timing. This timing offset is the main cause of orthogonality destruction among codes and thus radar signals from other vehicles become mutual interference. In order to solve this problem, we find out the new property of ZCZ code which maintains the complete orthogonality except to timing offset corresponding to chips (pulses) of multiple of 4 and employ ZCZ code to SS radar systems. Simulation results show the proposed scheme achieve better performance compared with the conventional SS radar scheme using pseudo code or gold code.

APN 함수를 이용한 부호계열 발생 알고리즘 설계 빛 분석 (Design and Analysis of Code Sequence Generating Algorithms using Almost Perfect Nonlinear Functions)

  • 암호화 시스템에서 대부분의 선형시스템은 쉽게 해석될 수 있기 때문에 비선형성은 매우 중요하다. 비선형 함수인 bent함수와 유사한 특성을 갖고 C.Bracken, Z.Zha 등에 의하여 제안된 APN(Almost Perfect Nonlinear) 함수를 이용하여 두 종류의 새로운 부호계열 발생 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 이를 이용하여 GF(2)상에서 발생된 부호계열의 자기상관함수 $R_{ii}(\tau)$, ${\tau}\;{\neq}\;0$와 상호상관함수 $R_{ik}(\tau)$의 값은 {-1, $-1-2^{n/2}$, $-1+2^{n/2}$}을 가진다. 이 개념을 확장한 GF(p), $p\;{\geq}\;3$상에서 발생된 비 이원부호계열의 자기상관함수 $R_{p,ii}(\tau}$, ${\tau}\;{\neq}\;0$와 상호상관함수 $R_{p,ik}(\tau)$의 값은 {$-1+p^{n-1}$, $-1-p^{(n-1)/2}+p^{n-1}$, $-1+p^{(n-1)/2}+p^{n-1}$} 로 역시 3종류 값을 가짐을 보였다. 이 분석결과로부터 발생된 부호계열의 상관함수가 Gold 부호계열과 유사한 특성을 가짐을 확인하였다.
