초기 인지상태가 아급성기 뇌졸중 환자의 기능상태 회복에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Initial Cognitive Status on the Recovery of Functional Status in Patients with Subacute Stroke)

  • Purpose: This purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of initial cognitive status on the recovery of functional status in patients with subacute stroke. Methods: The participants were 111 patients with subacute stroke, divided into two groups: mini-mental state examination (MMSE) <20 (n=49) group and MMSE ≥20 (n=62) group. Clinical evaluation scores were collected before and after rehabilitation. The repeated measurements ANOVA was used to confirm the changes in functional status before and after intervention in the two groups. Changes in functional status within the group were examined through a paired test. A Pearson correlation coefficient analysis was performed to identify the correlation between MMSE change amount and functional status score. Results: In each of the two groups, according to the initial cognitive status, the clinical evaluation score increased statistically significantly, but there was no difference between the two groups in the degree of significant increase. When examining the correlation between the MMSE change amount, according to the initial cognitive state and the functional state score change amount, it was found, only in the group with MMSE <20, that the larger the change in the MMSE score, the greater the functional state change of Berg balance scale, Rivermead Mobility Index, and motor assessment scale. This did not apply to the group with MMSE ≥20. Conclusion: Initial cognitive status should be considered when setting the patient's goal, and considering cognitive improvement when constructing a rehabilitation program is thought to have a positive effect on rehabilitation services.

진로탐색 프로그램이 마이스터고 학생의 진로성숙과정에 미치는 영향에 관한 사례연구 (A Case Study on the Impact of a Career Exploration Program on the Career Maturation Process of a Student at a Meister High School)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate a student's career maturity during a career exploration program based on the ecological system perspective and to propose directions for the career maturation process to help H. Meister High School students to get jobs. A single-case 12-session career exploration program was applied to a first-year student at H. Meister High School in U. City for 90 minutes per session twice a week. To verify the effects of the program, this study conducted a pre-test and post-test of career maturity to analyze changes. In addition, the study qualitatively analyzed changes in the program activity sheets and process evaluation sheets per session. The results of the study are as follows: Firstly, the career exploration program based on the ecological system perspective conducted with the student at H. Meister High School improved the student's career maturity. Secondly, changes were observed in the scores in the sub-factors of career maturity between the pre-test and the post-test. Significant differences in the results of the analysis of the sub-factors of career maturity indicate that the program had a statistically positive impact on the career maturation process of the participant. In conclusion, as a result of the in-depth implementation of the program for 12 sessions, the participant expressed his desires which were clarified. In addition, a positive career maturation process appears to have taken place, owing to the self-directed program that led the participant to initiate plans and explore his career by himself. This study was conducted as a single case based on the ecological system perspective concerning career exploration and the career maturation process, but it will be necessary to expand the study to investigate the effects of group counseling, information exchange considering peer influences, common discussions on goal-setting, and other methods on the career maturation process.

치위생학과 학생과 보건의료계열 학생의 교육활동과 교육성과에 대한 비교 (Comparison of educational activities and performance of dental hygiene and other healthcare students)

  • Background: Dental hygienists undergo 3 or 4 years of college education, and dental hygienist education must receive continuous feedback through evaluation. The purpose of this study was to compare the educational performance of students from the Department of Dental Hygiene in 2018 with those from other departments in the healthcare field. Methods: We used data from the National Assessment of Student Engagement in Learning, conducted by the Korean Educational Development Institute in 2018. The survey data of 55 dental hygiene students and 60 healthcare students at K University were provided after excluding all identifying information. An independent t-test was used for comparisons between the Department of Dental Hygiene and other healthcare departments. Results: Regarding class-related activities, dental hygiene students were passive in presentations, discussions, and projects and had significantly lower grades in cooperative learning and challenging learning. Regarding extra-class activities, dental hygiene students had significantly lower global learning and external experiences, domestic experiences, club activities, and interactions with professors. Regarding learning outcomes, students had significantly lower grades in writing, speaking, critical and analytical thinking, data evaluation, understanding of data meaning, problem-solving ability, goal setting and execution, core content extraction, human and material resource utilization, creative convergence thinking, statistical understanding and analysis, information technology use, collaboration, sense of community, stress management, time management, and foreign language proficiency. Conclusions: Dental hygiene education requires innovation in educational methods and efforts of instructors to improve poor learning activities and outcomes.

초중등 학습자의 알고리즘적 사고 수준 측정 연구 (A Study on the Level of Algorithmic Thinking of Students in Elementary and Secondary Schools)

  • 컴퓨팅 기술을 활용하여 문제를 해결하는 능력, 의사소통하는 능력, 협업하는 능력 등이 미래사회에 필요한 핵심역량으로 자리잡고 있다. 이러한 역량을 향상시키기 위해 우리나라 정보 교과에서는 알고리즘과 프로그래밍 능력을 중요한 목표로 설정하고 있다. 알고리즘적 사고는 컴퓨팅 사고력의 핵심적인 요소로 알고리즘을 설계하거나 프로그래밍 하는데 매우 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 알려져 있고, 정보 교과의 목표를 설정하거나 학생의 성취를 측정할 때 활용되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 초,중,고등학생의 알고리즘적 사고를 측정하는 문항을 개발하고 수준을 측정하였다. 측정 결과, 학교급이 높아질 수록 알고리즘적 사고를 향상되는 것으로 분석되었고, 성별간 차이는 없는 것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구를 통해 알고리즘적 사고의 수준을 위한 문항을 구성하거나 난이도를 설정하는데 가이드를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Establishing veterinary graduation competencies and its impact on veterinary medical education in Korea

  • Competencies are defined as an observable and assessable set of knowledge, skills, and attitudes. Graduation competencies, which are more comprehensive, refer to the required abilities of students to perform on-site work immediately after graduation. As graduation competencies set the goal of education, various countries and institutions have introduced them for new veterinary graduates. The Korean Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges has recently established such competencies to standardize veterinary education and enhance quality levels thereof. The purpose of this study is to describe the process of establishing graduation competencies as well as their implication for veterinary education in Korea. Graduation competencies for veterinary education in Korea comprise 5 domains (animal health care and disease management, one health expertise, communication and collaboration, research and learning, and veterinary professionalism). These are further divided into 11 core competencies, and 33 achievement standards, which were carefully chosen from previous case analyses and nation-wide surveys. Currently, graduation competencies are used as a standard for setting clear educational purposes for both instructors and students. Establishing these competencies further initiated the development of detailed learning outcomes, and of a list of basic veterinary clinical performances and skills, which is useful for assessing knowledge and skills. The establishment of graduation competencies is expected to contribute to the continuous development of Korean veterinary education in many ways. These include curriculum standardization and licensing examination reform, which will eventually improve the competencies of new veterinary graduates.

신입생 대상 온라인 비교과 프로그램 효과 분석: K 대학 사례 (The Effect of Online Extracurricular Program for University Freshmen: Focusing on the Case of K University)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the online extracurricular program operated by the university. The program contents applied in the study included learning strategies such as time management, goal setting, note taking, and memorization methods. The program used in the study was operated in an online environment, and the content was developed between 27 and 29 minutes. The developed contents can be taken using the learning management system. The variables selected to analyze the effects of this program were learning strategies and learning flow, and satisfaction was also included to examine the responses of program participants. The results of the study are as follows. First, learning strategies and learning flow showed statistically significant differences. This result is because the content was composed of meaningful sub-topics by selecting the elements necessary for learning activities. Second, as a result of program satisfaction analysis, it was confirmed that the average for all questions was high. Among them, the average of the item that the theme and contents of the program were useful was the highest. Third, open responses were analyzed by classifying them into cognitive and affective domains. In the cognitive domain, meanings such as knowledge, understanding, and application were presented as keywords, and in the affective domain, a number of keywords for motivation and attitude change were presented. This study is significant in that it provided practical programs necessary for university freshmen and analyzed their effects.

대학 펜싱선수들의 심리교육 효과: 자원동원성 수준에 따른 심리기술과 자기관리행동의 변화를 중심으로 (The change of Psychological skills strategy and Self-management behavior according to the level of Resourcefulness of Fencing-Athlete)

  • 본 연구에서는 대학 펜싱선수들을 대상으로 심리교육을 중재한 후 자원동원성 수준에 따라 심리기술과 자기관리행동이 어떻게 변화하는지 탐색하여 참여자의 심리적 역량에 따른 중재의 효과성을 검증하고자 하였다. 대학 펜싱 선수(남 10명, 여 10명) 20명을 연구 참여자로 선정하였으며, 심리교육은 지도자와 참여자에게 동의를 구한 후 팀의 훈련 및 시합일정을 고려하여 12회기를 실시하였다. 시행시간은 주 1회, 60-90분 정도 소요되었으며, 심리 교육의 효과를 확인하기 위하여 1회기와 12회기에 자원동원성, 심리기술, 자기관리행동을 탐색하였다. 특히 자원동원성은 연구 참여자들의 사전 평균점수를 기준으로 고/저 집단으로 나누어 분석에 활용하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 자원동원성 고집단에서는 심리기술 하위요인 중 집중력, 심상에서 유의미한 변화를 보였으며, 저집단에서는 극복의지, 목표설정, 자신감, 집중력, 심상 요인에서 유의미한 변화를 나타내었다. 둘째, 자원동원성 고집단에서는 자기관리 하위요인 중 몸관리에서 유의미한 변화를 보였고 자원동원성 저집단에서는 훈련관리에서 유의미한 변화를 보여 자원동원성 수준에 따라 다른 변화를 보였다.

대학수학능력시험 수학 영역의 변화를 통해 살펴본 고등학교 수학 평가의 방향 탐색 (Exploring the direction of Assessment in Korean High School Mathematics through College Scholastic Ability Test Mathematics Domain Changes)

  • 본 연구는 1993년부터 시행된 대학수학능력시험 수학 영역의 변화를 살펴봄으로써 향후 수학 영역 체제의 개선 방향을 탐색하고 우리나라 고등학교 수학교육에서의 평가 방향 정립을 위한 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위해, 대학수학능력시험 수학 영역을 시험 체제, 내용 영역, 행동 영역을 중심으로 분석하고 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 첫째, 시험 체제는 시험 시간, 문항 수 외에 평가 요소와 문항 유형 등에도 영향을 미쳤음을 확인하였다. 둘째, 내용 영역 분석을 통하여 교육과정과 평가 영역의 관계성을 확인하고, 평가 영역 설정의 중요성을 확인하였다. 셋째, 행동 영역 분석을 통하여 특정 행동 영역에서 문항 유형의 고착화 가능성을 확인하고, 평가 문항의 유형에 대한 지속적 변화의 필요성을 확인하였다. 이를 바탕으로 대학수학능력시험 수학 영역에서의 시대적 요구와 변화를 반영할 수 있는 평가의 방향과 그에 따른 제반 사항에 대하여 논의하였다.

러시아와의 통상분쟁 해결의 협상론적 분석 -시안화나트륨에 대한 세이프가드 사례를 중심으로- (A Negotiation Analysis on Trade Dispute Resolution with Russia - Safeguard Case on Sodium Cyanide -)

  • 2005년 10월 러시아 정부는 한국 시안화나트륨 수입에 대해 세이프가드 조치를 검토하기 시작하였다. 한국측으로서는 양국간 통상마찰 전례가 별로 없었고 WTO 미가입국인 러시아와의 통상협상에서 선진국 등 WTO 가입국과는 이질적인 협상 환경에 놓이게 되었다. 러시아와의 협상에서도 목표의 설정, 협상력의 제고, 정보의 획득, 관계의 개선 등 일반적인 통상협상의 요소들이 적용될 수 있었지만 정보접근의 제약, 제도와 절차의 불확실성이라는 새로운 제약요인이 나타났다. 한국측은 이러한 제약요인을 극복하고 협상력을 제고하기 위하여 정부간 협상을 제의하였고 러시아 수요업계의 협조, WTO규정과 러시아 관련법규의 해석, 수집된 정보의 활용 등을 통해서 러시아측의 시안화나트륨 조사가 기각되는 결과를 유도하였다. 향후 WTO 미가입국과의 통상마찰에 대비하기 위하여 상시적인 정보 수집채널이 구축될 필요성이 있다. 본 연구가 러시아와 유사한 협상 환경을 가진 국가와의 통상협상에서 활용되기를 기대한다.

중장년 고용취약계층의 경력역량 탐색 연구 (An Exploratory Study on the Career Competencies among the Middle-aged Employment Vulnerable Groups)

  • 본 연구는 중장년 고용취약계층의 경력역량을 탐색하고 우선순위를 도출함으로써, 중장년 고용취약계층을 위한 체계적 경력개발 및 인적자원개발의 단초를 제공하기 위한 목적으로 실시되었다. 중장년(만 40~64세) 고용취약계층 대상 인터뷰 및 전문가 검증을 통해 도출한 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 중장년 고용취약계층은 직업, 현재 상태 등 개인 특성에 따라 상이한 경력요구사항이 존재하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 중장년 고용취약계층 경력역량은 크게 경력인지역량, 경력방법역량, 경력태도역량, 경력전환역량, 경력자원관리역량의 5개 구성요인과 21개의 하위 세부역량으로 도출되었다. 셋째, Borich 및 Locus for Focus 분석방법을 활용한 중장년 고용취약계층 경력역량에 대한 우선순위 분석 결과, 경력목표설정, 경력실행력, 취창업정보, 구직기술이 최우선순위 역량으로, 경력정체성, 디지털문해력, 고용시장지식, 인프라활용이 차우선순위 역량으로 도출되었다.
