Customers purchasing souvenir T-shirts in famous tourist sites in Korea are mainly foreigners. Nevertheless, these T-shirts are manufactures according to Koreans' body shapes or manufactures' own size system. Moreover, sizes are labelled only by domestic norms. The purpose of this study is to suggest global standardized size for T-shirts, which will provide more precise size information for customers. For this, sizing standards including KS, ASTM, JIS, and EN were surveyed and were compared. And souvenir T-shirts were collected in the tourist resort and the sizing systems and labels were analysed from them. Finally, we proposed a sizing system and labelling as an international standard for souvenir T-shirts.

Global simulator for $CF_4$ discharge in transformer coupled plasma (TCP) source is developed and simulations arc performed under various conditions. The developed simulator is based on a set of space averaged fluid equations for electrons, positive ions, neutrals and radicals of $CF_4$ plasma. And the used absorbed power by electrons is calculated by a 2-dimensional heating model[1].

This paper examines the impact of sanitary and phytosanitary standards (SPS) and technical barriers to trade (TBT) on Korean exports, taking global value chains (GVC) participation into consideration. Using product-level import data from 2000 to 2014, we find heterogeneous effects of importers' SPS and TBT on Korean exports depending on the degree and position of GVC participation. According to the results, trade restrictive effects of SPS and TBT are smaller for industries that are more deeply involved in GVC. However, trade restrictive effects are greater for industries located at a relatively upstream production stage in GVC.

Electric motors and drives consume the largest amount of electricity more than 40% of global electricity consumption. In addition, motors, drives and its components are included in the global high-trade products and the main driving source for industrial equipment and house appliances. Thus, International standards and regulations for their safety and efficiency are internationally being discussed and created for the protection of its citizens and energy saving. So, understanding the international standards and the regulation of each country is essential to enhance overseas market and to develop product. In this paper, on the basis of this background, status and trends of international standards and regulations are introduced for safety and efficiency of motors and the drives. Safety and efficiency of the IEC (International Electrotechical Commission) standards are introduced in the emphasis. Also, regulations are studied about the differences and trends in each county.

This paper is based on a belief that, it is the simplest and best way measuring intangibles and knowledge assets on a monetary base, although there are many efforts to measure it. We analysis and compare with accounting, appraisal and valuation standards on Korean, USA and global level each. We conclude that valuation is appropriate for intangibles and knowledge assets, but we should check the standards of valuation on a social base in Korea.

The current transportation regime is largely based on two alternatives: (1) fixed route public transit, and (2) private ownership of internal combustion engine (ICE) powered vehicles per households. This paper analyzes one possible transportation alternative, Micro Electric Vehicles or MEVs, and compares with the ICE vehicles in terms of social, economic and environmental benefits, especially emphasizing its environmental advantage over ICE vehicles for future sustainability. While some representative models of MEVs exist in a limited market capacity, but global technical standards are generally insufficient and non-homogenous across nations, which restricts the development of the proposed transportation sector. The focus of this paper is to analyze the characteristics and potential benefits of MEVs in economical and environmental perspectives, including development status and technical standards, with a particular focus in the E.U., the U.S., Japan, and Korea. Based on the data of analysis, this paper aims to derive and propose a cooperative and adaptive global policy framework designed to speed up adoption and expansion of the global MEV market, including passenger and utility vehicles. We propose MEV to be a new mobility segment in the global transportation market because of their advantage in environmental impact, sustainability, overall cost of ownership, and safety.
