  • This study introduces MATLAB Graphical User Interface (GUI)-based software to monitor ionospheric disturbances. This software detects ionospheric disturbances using Global Positioning System (GPS) and Global Navigation Satellite System (GLONASS) measurements, and estimates a location of the disturbance source through the detected disturbance. In addition, this software includes a sky plot making function and frequency analysis function through wavelet transform. To evaluate the performance of the developed software, data of 2011 Tohoku earthquake in Japan were analyzed by using the software. The analysis results verified that the ionospheric disturbances were detected through GPS and GLONASS measurements, and the location of the disturbance source was estimated through the detected disturbance.

  • Most of the automotive electronic systems are equipped with control software. ISO 26262 standard has been published to prevent unreasonable risk due to E/E system malfunction. And many automotive companies apply ISO 26262 for safe series product. In ISO 26262 standard, the product quality improves through deductive and inductive safety analysis in all processes including system and software development phase. However, there are few studies on software safety analysis than systems. In the paper, we study the software FMEA(Failure Mode Effect Analysis) technique for product quality of vehicular embedded software. And we propose an effective guideline of software FMEA as EPB industrial practice.

  • Software development organizations are globalizing their development activities increasingly due to strategic and economic gains. Global software development (GSD) is an intricate concept, and various challenges are associated with it, specifically related to the software requirement change management Process (RCM). This research aims to identify humans' related success factors (HSFs) and human-related challenges (HCHs) that could influence the RCM process in GSD organizations and propose a theoretical framework of the identified factors concerning RCM process implementation. The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method was adopted to investigate the HSFs and HCHs. Using the SLR approach, a total of 10 SFs and 10 CHs were identified. The study also reported the critical success factors (HCSFs) and critical challenges (HCCHs) for RCM process implementation following the factors having a frequency 50% as critical. Our results reveal that five out of ten HSFs and 4 out of ten HCHs are critical for RCM process implementation in GSD. Finally, we have developed a theoretical framework based on the identified factors that indicated a relationship among the identified factors and the implementation of the RCM process in the context of GSD. We believe that the results of this research can help tackle the complications associated with the RCM in GSD environment, which is vigorous to the success and progression of GSD organizations.

  • Worldwide organizations use the benefits offered by Cloud Computing (CC) to store data, software and programs. While running hugely complicated and sophisticated software on cloud requires more energy that causes global warming and affects environment. Most of the time energy consumption is wasted and it is required to explore opportunities to reduce emission of carbon in CC environment to save energy. Many improvements can be done in regard to energy efficiency from the software perspective by considering and paying attention on the energy consumption aspects of software's that run on cloud infrastructure. The aim of the current research is to propose a framework with an additional phase called parameterized development phase to be incorporated along with the traditional Software Development Life cycle (SDLC) where the developers need to consider the suggested techniques during software implementation to utilize low energy for running software on the cloud and contribute in green computing. Experiments have been carried out and the results prove that the suggested techniques and methods has enabled in achieving energy consumption.

본 논문에서는 객체지향 소프트웨어 개발 방법론을 객체지향적으로 모델링한 OMOS(Object-oriented software development Method for Object-oriented software System)를 제시한다.

  • The globalisation of software production processes is a maze of connected phenomena with dramatically increasing importance as the development of W related industries and services escalates on a global scale. While commercial and industrial software production and related services are historically associated with advanced industrial economies of the North & West, contemporary changes of the past decade suggest that the industry is developing rapidly on a global scale incorporating countries that have historically been classified as '2nd and 3rd world' or periphery and semi-periphery by different theoretical approaches. • Korean small and medium sized software companies have tried to export their solutions or services to overseas markets. In 2016, exports of the software industry increased by 6.0% from the previous year, and the value added of the industry was 2.2 times higher than that of the manufacturing industry. From a long-term perspective, it is important to secure a global competitive advantage in order to sustain the export high value-added of the software industry. The obstacles to entry into the overseas market of small to medium enterprises are as follows: first, difficulty in product development and localization of marketing; second, lack of investment for overseas expansion; and finally, competitiveness of software technology. In particular, To overcome such obstacles, Korean small and medium sized software companies should increase the technical perfection and secure software export competitiveness. The paper presents a payment settlement framework enabling adaptive reuse and semiautomatic development of global payment settlement services. The quantitative and qualitative evaluation results are presented with domestic and overseas case studies as follows: Firstly, semi-automatic development is realized successfully by applying the framework. Secondly, it is possible to maintain consistent quality of software and to deliver maintenance services without relying on the internal human resources. Thirdly, it is possible to reduce the project duration of the same development cope to less than 50% by applying the framework. Finally, because it is based on BPMN 2.0, which is a high level design diagram, it is expected that it will be easy to implement through components connection and reduce difficulties in technology transfer and localization. Also, at the time of runtime operation, it will be effective to understand the design idea easily and to carry out additional developments without human resource who participated in the initial project.
