AC-PDP용 인산염 결정화 유리의 유전적 특성에 관한 연구 (A study on dielectric characteristic of phosphate glass-ceramic for AC-PDP)

  • 인산염계 유리를 사용하여 PDP 소자의 하판유전체 후막을 제작하였다. 유전체 후막의 제조는 soda-lime glass위에 silk screen printing 법을 사용하였다. 기판과 유전체후막의 열팽창계수를 맞추기 위하여 $TiO_2$$Al_2O_3$를 충진제로 사용하였다. 유전체의 결정화 거동은 DTA, XRD를 사용하였으며 광학적 열적 전기적인 특성을 알아보기 위하여 UV-spectrometer, Dilatometer, Impedance Analyser를 사용하였다. 실험결과 주 결정상은 메타인산아연과 피로인산아연으로 나타났다. $TiO_2$의 첨가로 인하여 반사율은 높아졌으나 상대적으로 유전상수는 높아졌다. 또한 $Al_2O_3$를 첨가한 경우 반사율은 크게 변화가 없었으나 유전상수 값은 낮아졌다. 또한 열팽창 계수는 약 $62{\times}10^{-7}/^{\circ}C$ 정도였다.

Fabrication of transparent dielectric mono layer green sheet for plasma display panel

  • To fabricate mono layer green sheet (MLGS) of transparent dielectric for PDP front panel, dispersion of transparent dielectric slurry and various properties of green sheets were examined as a function of amount and kinds of organic additives. Sedimentation height and viscosity of slurry were measured to determine proper types and amount of dispersant in non-aqueous system transparent dielectric slurry. Many MLGS having various ratios of the transparent dielectric glass frit, binder and plasticizer were fabricated. Finally we got the transparent dielectric layer of high transparency and free from residual pore might be remained in the gap between the electrodes.

적색 유기발광소자의 휘도향상을 위한 Dielectric layer 설계 및 제작에 관한 연구 (The Study on Dielectric layer Design and Manufactor for Luminance Improvement of Red Organic Light Emitting Device)

  • We have proposed an dielectric layer to improve the luminance of red organic light emitting device. Here, we have calculated refractive index of dielectric layer material that was revised refractive index of organic material, ITO and glass. Refractive index of dielectric layer material was 1.711. The structure of dielectric layer was designed in organic material/ITO/dielectric layer/glass. Dielectric material changed thickness that deposited by ion-assisted deposition system. Transmittances of ITO were 95.66-98.85 [%]. Red OLED was fabricated with the structure of TPD($400[{\AA}]$)/DCMII($20[{\AA}]$), Rubrene($20[{\AA}]$)/Alq3($500[{\AA}]$)/LiF($15[{\AA}]$)/Al($1,000[{\AA}]$). Turn-on voltage and Luminance of Red OLED were 10 [V] and 5,857 cd/m2.

($TruNano^{TM}$ processing of dielectric layers and barrier-rib on soda-lime glass substrate for PDP panel

  • We present a low temperature thermal process for the transparent dielectric layer, barrier rib, and white back dielectric layer on the soda-lime glass substrate of the PDP by the $TruNano^{TM}$ processor in combination with a compositional modification to the conventional dielectric pastes. By this method the firing temperature can be lowered by more than $100^{\circ}C$.

  • Up to date, the dual scanning method has been adopted to decrease address-ing period in AC PDP. In this case, addressing period can be reduced, but the driving circuit cost should be increased. In this study, to increase addressing speed we have studied the relationship between addressing speed and cell structure. That is to say, we varied the thickness of dielectric layer on the front glass, the thickness of white back and the height of barrier rib on the rear glass. So, we found that the addressing time was decreased 4% with decreasing 5um thickness of dielectric layer on the front glass and 2um thickness of white back on the rear glass. Also in case of decreasing the height of barrier rib, addressing time was decreased about 4% per 10um.

Effect of melting temperature and additives on transparency of Bi based Transparent Dielectric Layer in Plasma Display Panel

  • We report the method of preventing the grey color of Bi based glass frits caused by reduction of $Bi_2O_3$. To prevent reduction of $Bi_2O_3$, we controlled the melting temperature. Low melting temperature reduces the reduction of $Bi_2O_3$ and that makes clarity transparent glass cullets. After firing, glass frits that melted at lower temperature showed better transparency. To prevent the browning, we used some additives like CuO, $CeO_2$, CoO and $TiO_2$. The colors of glass cullets were varied according to additives. After firing, dielectric layer contained additives showed better transparency than the one without additives. In the point of reaction between dielectric layer and Ag electrode, CuO was the most effective additive in preventing the yellowing.

Effect of Particle Size Distribution of Glass Frit on the Transparency of Transparent Dielectric Layer for Plasma Display Panel

  • We report the effect of the particle size (D50) and PSD (Particle Size Distribution) of glass frit on the transparency of transparent dielectric layer of PDP. The milling efficiency of wet milling with water was the best among the dry milling, wet milling with IPA and wet milling with water. The transparency increased with the reduction of particle size of glass frit as the milling time increased. Also the transparency changed by the PSD of glass frit. Glass frits of broad PSD showed high transparency compared with the glass frits of sharp PSD.

Transparent dielectric layer having color-filter function for PDP

  • Transparent dielectric layer having color-filter function in front panel for PDP(Plasma Display Panel) was successfully fabricated and characterized. Transparent dielectric layer in front panel was made of glass based on $PbO-SiO_2-B_2O_3$ ternary system. The change of properties with content variation of oxide colorants in transparent dielectric layer having color-filter function was systematically accessed. It was demonstrated that the optimized content of oxide colorants to parent glass could greatly increase up contrast ratio and color temperature without significantly degrading luminance.

  • In this paper, the electric field distribution in dielectric tube with one layer and spherical dielectric(glass) in water was simulated. The reactor was made up of the spherical dielectric that is diameter : 3.0[mm], glass(${\varepsilon}_r$:5) and one glass plate of thickness(2[mm]), ${\varepsilon}_r$(5) as electrode. The discharge gap was 8[mm). Toget more strong electric field, the dielectric constant should be higher comparatively. Using the spherical dielectric for water discharge in dielectric tube, the location of equipotential line was shifting from the interior to the exterior. At real water discharge experimental, $H_2O_2$ was measured higher generated $H_2O_2$ in water at condition of water rate(1[l/min]) and injector than condition of non-injector or 2-3[l/min])

  • LTCC 소재는 glass/ceramic composite로 구성된다. LTCC 소재에 embedding 되는 고유전율 소재 또한 이와 같은 소재설계를 통하여 무수축 접합이 가능할 것으로 판단된다. 그러나 이에 대한 연구결과가 보고된바 없고 몇몇 $Al_2O_3$의 infiltration에 대한 무수축 소성 관련 선행 연구를 바탕으로 고유전율 소재인 $BaTiO_3$의 무수축 소성이 연구되는 것이 필요한 시점이다. 따라서 본 연구는 저온에서의 glass infiltration에 의한 무수축 $BaTiO_3$ layer의 저온소성특성 및 유전특성을 평가하였다. 실험결과 $785^{\circ}C$에서 glass의 충분한 침투가 확인되며 결정구조에서는 glass/$BaTiO_3$ composite이 형성되었다. 무수축 접합 layer의 소성조건과 glass 두께 변화에 따른 유전특성 및 layer의 결정구조를 비교평가 하였다.
