인삼 식물체의 부위별 호흡량 (Respiration Rate in Each Organ of Ginseng Plant)

  • 본 시험은 6월 14 일에 4년생 인삼 식물체의 각 기관별, 10월 1 일에 6년생을 근상태별로 구분하여 호흡량을 측정하였던 바 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 기관별 호흡량은 유과≒엽>화경>경≒근의 순이었다. 2. 15$^{\circ}C$~3$0^{\circ}C$ 사이에서의 기관별 호흡계수는 유과 2.39, 엽 1.75, 근 1.57, 경 1.17, 화경 1.16이었다. 3. 채굴 당시 대편삼(117$\pm$8.8g)과 소편삼(54$\pm$4.0g)간에 호흡량의 차이는 인정되지 않았다. 4. 근내 수분함량이 감소할수록 호흡량은 저하되었으며 그 정도는 소편삼에서 현저하였다. 5 . 건전삼에 비해 근적변삼에서 근호흡량이 현저히 많았다.

  • To selection of optimal shading material, two-year-old ginseng (Panax ginseng C. A. Meyer) of new cultivar, 'Cheonpoong' (CP), and native species 'Hwangsookjong' (HS) were cultured under three kinds of shading materials such as three-layered blue and a one-layered black PE (polyethylene) net (TBSB), blue PE sheet (BS), and aluminium coated PE sheet (AS) in imperfectly drained paddy soil. Growth characteristics, yield and ginsenoside contents were investigated under three shading materials. Yield and ginsenoside contents of ginseng were distinctly affected by intensity and quality of sunlight penetrated through shading materials. Light transmission ratio, air and soil temperature according to shading materials were higher in order of BS, AS, and TBSB. However, ratio of aerial phase and porosity of the soil were higher in order of AS, BS, and TBSB, respectively. There was no significantly difference in the ratio of rusty colored root by shading materials. CP showed higher stem length, leaf area, and root weight than that of HS, while the former showed distinctly lower discolored leaf ratio than that the other. Eight kinds of ginsenosides content of CP were higher than that of HS in $Rg_1$, Re, Rf, $Rb_1$ and Rc except $Rg_2$, $Rb_2$, and $Rb_3$. Total ginsenoside contents of CP was distinctly higher than that of HS. Total ginsenoside contents as affected by shading materials was higher in order of BS, TBSB, and AS in CP, while TBSB, BS, and AS in HS.

Effect of LED Irradiation on Growth Characteristids of Ginseng Cultivated in Plastic Film House

  • This experiment was carried out using artificial clay and LED in the plastic film house (irradiation time: 08:00~18:00/day). Seedlings (n = 63 per $3.3m^2$) of ginseng was planted on May 17, 2018. LED was combined with red and blue light in a 3:1 ratio and irradiated with different light intensity. The average air temperature from April to September was $12.3^{\circ}C$ $-26.0^{\circ}C$ and it was the the highest at $26.0^{\circ}C$ in August. The test area where fluorescent lamp was irradiated tended to be somewhat higher than the LED irradiation area. The chemical properties of the test soil are as follows. pH levels was 5.3~5.5, EC levels 0.45~0.52 dS/m and OM levels 33~37%. The total nitrogen content was 0.35~0.47% and the available $P_2O_5$ contents was 13.7~16.0 mg/kg, which was lower than the suitable level of 70~200 mg/kg. Exchangeable cations K and Mg contents were within acceptable ranges, but the Ca contents was $28{\sim}38cmol^+/kg$ levels higher than the permissible level ($2{\sim}6cmol^+/kg$). Germination of ginseng leaves took 8~9 days and the overall germination rate was 70~75%. The photometric characteristics of LED light intensity are as follows. The greater the light intensity, the higher the PAR (Photosynthetic Action Radiation) value, illuminance and solar irradiation. Photosynthetic rate was also increased with higher light intensity was investigated at $1.7{\sim}3.2{\mu}mol\;CO_2/m^2/s$. Leaf temperature ($23.7{\sim}24.8^{\circ}C$) by light intensity was the same trend. The growth of aerial parts (plant height etc.) were generally excellent when irradiated with 3 times the light intensity, the growth of the ginseng aerial parts were excellent as follows. The plant height was 42.6 cm, stem length was 25.2 cm, leaf length was 9.6 cm and stem diameter was 5.0 mm. The growth of underground part (root length etc.) was the same, and the root length was 24.4 cm, the tap root length was 6.0 cm, diameter of taproot was 18.2 mm and the fresh root weight was 17.2 g. There were no disease incidence such as Alternaria blight, Gray mold and Anthracnose. Disease of Damping off occurred 2.2~3.6% and incidence ratio of rusty root ginseng was 14.6~20.7%. Leaf discoloration rate was 13.7~48.9% and increased with increasing light intensity. Ginsenoside content of ginseng by light intensity is under analysis.

Antioxidant Activities of Various Solvent Extracts from Ginseng (Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer) Leaves

  • Water, methanol and ethanol extracts of ginseng leaves were assayed for total phenolics and flavonoids, ascorbic acid, cupric and ferrous ion chelating activities, 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging activity, ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) assay and ABTS radical cation decolourization (TEAC) assay for their antioxidant properties. The ethanol extract of ginseng leaves contained significantly (p<0.05) higher amounts of total phenolics and flavonoids (600.57 and 1701 mg/100 g) than methanol (374.43 and 1512.64 mg/100 g) and water extracts (248.30 and 680.05 mg/100 g). Among solvent extracts of ginseng leaves, the ethanol extract showed the most powerful antioxidant activities. However, the ferrous ion chelating activity of ginseng leaf extracts were lower than the cupric ion chelating ability. These differences in concentrations of key antioxidants among various solvent extracts seemed to be responsible for their differences in antioxidant activities. These results suggest that ethanol extract of ginseng leaves has the most effective antioxidant capacity compared to the methanol and water extracts tested in the present study. Thus, it can be applied for the effective extraction of functional material from ginseng leaves for the usage of pharmaceutical and/or food industries.

  • 토양수분(土壤水分) 및 재식심도(栽植深度)가 인삼(人蔘)의 생육(生育) 및 수량(收量)에 미치는 영향(影響)을 구명(九命)하고져 본(本) 실험(實驗)을 수행(遂行)하였던바 그 결과(結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 1) 엽장(葉長) 및 근장(根長)과 지근수(支根數)는 4~5cm 심도(深度)의 재식구(栽植區)에서 현저한 감소(減少)를 보였던 반면(反面) 경직경(莖直徑)은 오히려 증가(增加)되었고 그 외의 생육(生肉) 형질(形質)은 심도(深度)에 따르는 유의차(有意差)가 인정(認定)되지 않았다. 2) 경직경(莖直徑)을 제외한 경엽(莖葉) 및 근(根)의 주요(主要) 생육(生育) 형질(形質)은 토양수분(土壤水分)의 증가(增加)에 따라 고도(高度)로 현저한 2차곡선적(次曲線的) 변이(變異)를 나타내었다. 3) 경장(莖長)의 최대(最大) 생육(生育)에 요(要)하는 최적토양수분함량(最適土壤水分含量)의 추정치(推定値)는 75%였고 엽장(葉長) 및 엽폭(葉幅)에 요(要)하는 최적수분(最適水分)은 65~66%였으며 근장(根長) 및 지근수(支根數)에 요(要)하는 최적수분(最適水分)은 56~58%였고 근중(根重)의 증가(增加)에 요(要)하는 최적수분(最適水分)은 60~61%였다. 4) 2cm심도(深度)의 재식구(栽植區)에 비(比)해 3cm 심도(深度)의 재식구(栽植區)에서 근중증가(根重增加)에 요(要)하는 최적(最適) 토양수분(土壤水分)의 추정치(推定値)는 1~5% 낮았다. 31%의 토양수분하(土壤水分下)에서만은 깊게 심을 수록 근건물중(根乾物重)은 현저히 증가(增加)되었다. 5) 근건물중(根乾物重)과 엽장(葉長), 엽폭(葉幅) 및 지상부(地上部) 건물중간(乾物重間)에는 정(正)의 유의(有意) 상관(相關)이 인정(認定)되었고 근(根)의 생체중(生體中)에 대(對)한 건물중(乾物重)의 비율(比率)은 경장(莖長), 엽장(葉長), 엽폭(葉幅) 및 지상부(地上部) 건물중(乾物重)과 역시 정(正)의 유의(有意) 상관(相關)이 인정(認定)되었다.

고려인삼 엽록차의 위생적 품질개선 연구 (Improvement of Hygienic Quality of Panax Ginseng Leaf Tea)

  • 인삼엽록차의 미생물 오염도는 호기성 전세균이 $3.6{\times}10^{5}/g$ 내열성 포자균이 $2.1{\times}10^{3}/g$, 효모가 $1.6{\times}10^{4}/g$, 곰팡이가 $1.9{\times}10^{4}/g$ 및 대장균군이 $1.2{\times}10^{4}/g$ 수준으로 백삼분말제품 검사기준보다 높은 상태였다. 미생물 살균효과 비교 시험에서 상업적인 조건의 ethylene oxide 처리와 5 kGy 의 감마선조사는 모든 미생물의 농도를 검출한계 이하로 감소시킬 수 있었으며, $30^{\circ}C$내외에서 3개월 이상 저장 후에도 미생물의 생육은 거의 없었다. 오염미생물의 방사선 감수성 (D10값)은 대장균(0.70kGy)>일반세균(0.75kGy)>곰팡이(0.85kGy)>효모(0.95kGy)의 순으로 높게 나타났다. 관능적 품질 비교에서 살균선량의 감마선 조사는 시료의 풍미, 맛, 색상등 전반적 기호도에 있어서 무처리 대조시료와 차이가 없었으나 훈증처리 시료의 추출액은 색상과 맛에 있어서 저장 3개월 이후에도 타시료와 유의적 차이를 나타내었다.

  • 향미 원료용 연초의 생육중 토양수분에 따른 잎담배의 화학성분과 품질과의 관계를 분석한 결과, 1. 토양수분이 많을수록 초장, 최대엽의 장, 폭등 개체생장이 증대되고 개화일수가 짧았으나 건조엽의 품질은 낮았다. 2 토양수분이 많을수록 생엽중 엽록소와 카로티노이드 함량이 높고, 건조엽중 니코틴, 석유에텔 유출물, 전질소함량이 낮았으며, 회분함량 및 pH는 높아졌다. 3. 토양수분이 많을수록 배휘발생 유기산과 고급지방산 함량이 높았으나 차이는 크지 않았다. 4. 토양수분이 많을수록 향미엽의 특성성분인 3-methyl pentanoic acid 등의 휘발성 유기산 함량의 감소가 컸으며 대부분의 휘발성 중성부 함량도 감소 경향이었다. 5. 토양수분이 다른 조건에서 생육한 잎담배의 품질을 비교하기 위해서는 석유에텔 추출물, 휘발성 유기산, 휘발성 중성부, 회분함량 및 pH등을 이용한 지수가 바람직하였다.

  • 벼씨를 고려인삼차(영수삼차, 고려인삼제품(주)제품) 수용액(100배 희석)으로 28시간 불린 다음 파종하면 벼의 초기발육에 좋고 특히 파종직후 인삼차수용액(30배 희석)로 철포(10l/a)하면 그 효과가 더욱 좋았으며 병충해에 대한 내성이 증가하였다. 수확면으로 보면 무처리군에 비하며 벼씨만 인삼차수용액으로 처리한 것이 9.4% 증산, 인삼차수용액으로 처리한 것이 9.4% 증산, 인삼차수용액으로 처리한 벼씨를 파종한 직후 다시 진한 인삼차수용액을 철포한 것이 17.7% 증산의 성적을 보였다.

  • We studied a assay method on the measurement of superoxide dismutase (SOD Superoxide : superoxide oxidoreductase, EC. 1. 15. 1. 1) activity with photoreduced flavin and nitroblue tetrazolium (NBT) as superoxide (${O_2}^{-}$) source and detector, respectively. The $\Delta$E (1000 ng SOD$.$$min.)^{-1}$ of photoreduced flavin-NBT system was 0.08, whereas that of xanthine-xanthine-cytochrome system used broadly in experiments was 0.014. Therefore, the new method was regarded more simple and utilizable than xanthine-xanthine cytochrome system method. In the present paper, we also carried out to investigate the SOD activity and isozyme pattern for the parpose of study of leaf-burning disease in ginseng (Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer) leaves.

인삼의 신아 및 잠아발생의 조직 형태적 특성 (Histological and Morphological Characteristics of New and Latent Bud Formation in Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer)

  • This experiment was conducted to obtain the basic information on new- and latent-bud formation, and stem vestige arrangement on the rhizome of Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer. Latent buds emerged from meristematic region between shoot and root of the embryo, and new buds for the next year were distributed both at the bottom portion of the stem and the rhizome. In the new buds, organs such as leaf, stem, and flower bud were already completely differentiated, while the latent bud had an undifferentiated meristematic tissue arranged linearly in a vertical line, indicating that each year new- and latent-buds are formed successively. This result suggests that the number of stem vestige may be used for the determination of ginseng age.
