The development of the IT industry brought major changes in modern society. That change applies in all areas, that life is more and more convenient. work is more efficient, handling quickly and that make convenient life. Interface is a big factor in the center of these changes. that is more and more development and there is currently using NUI technology. NUI technology is not necessary that discrete input device. and that use natural behavior like touch, gesture. among them, the smart phone device is a representative of appllying the NUI technology. smart phone as well as NUI technology applies kiosk, big table and that use Various fields, such as culture, defense, and advertising industries. In this research, development multi-touch table based multi-touch meeting system. and proposal efficient system possible improvements about Existing meeting system.
In this paper, we propose a vision and depth information based real-time hand gesture interface method using finger joint estimation. For this, the areas of left and right hands are segmented after mapping of the visual image and depth information image, and labeling and boundary noise removal is performed. Then, the centroid point and rotation angle of each hand area are calculated. Afterwards, a circle is expanded at following pattern from a centroid point of the hand to detect joint points and end points of the finger by obtaining the midway points of the hand boundary crossing and the hand model is recognized. Experimental results that our method enabled fingertip distinction and recognized various hand gestures fast and accurately. As a result of the experiment on various hand poses with the hidden fingers using both hands, the accuracy showed over 90% and the performance indicated over 25 fps. The proposed method can be used as a without contacts input interface in HCI control, education, and game applications.
This study compares hand-based interfaces to improve a user's virtual reality (VR) presence by enhancing user immersion in VR interactions. To provide an immersive experience, in which users can more directly control the virtual environment and objects within that environment using their hands and, to simultaneously minimize the device burden on users using immersive VR systems, we designed two experimental interfaces (hand motion recognition sensor- and controller-based interactions). Hand motion recognition sensor-based interaction reflects accurate hand movements, direct gestures, and motion representations in the virtual environment, and it does not require using a device in addition to the VR head mounted display (HMD). Controller-based interaction designs a generalized interface that maps the gesture to the controller's key for easy access to the controller provided with the VR HMD. The comparative experiments in this study confirm the convenience and intuitiveness of VR interactions using the user's hand.
Recently, Many 3D augmented reality games that provide strengthened immersive have appeared in the 3D game environment. In this article, we describe a barehanded interaction method based on human hand gestures for augmented reality games. First, feature points are extracted from input video streams. Point features are tracked and motion of moving objects are computed. The shape of the motion trajectories are used to determine whether the motion is intended gestures. A long smooth trajectory toward one of virtual objects or menus is classified as an intended gesture and the corresponding action is invoked. To prove the validity of the proposed method, we implemented two simple augmented reality applications: a gesture-based music player and a virtual basketball game. In the music player, several menu icons are displayed on the top of the screen and an user can activate a menu by hand gestures. In the virtual basketball game, a virtual ball is bouncing in a virtual cube space and the real video stream is shown in the background. An user can hit the virtual ball with his hand gestures. From the experiments for three untrained users, it is shown that the accuracy of menu activation according to the intended gestures is 94% for normal speed gestures and 84% for fast and abrupt gestures.
As the existing edutainment contents for children are mostly comprised of educational tools which unilaterally induce educatees to passively respond to them, the content-creating methodologies in terms of which active and voluntary learning is made possible is urgently needed. In this paper, we present the implementation of the tangible 'electronic dice' interface as an interactive tool for behavior-based edutainment contents, and propose a methodology for developing edutainment contents for children by utilizing the recognition technique of hand movement based on depth-image information. Also proposed in the paper are an authoring and management tool of learning quizzes that allows educators to set up and manage their learning courseware, and a log analysis system of learning achievement for real-time monitoring of educational progress. The behavior-based tangible interface and edutainment contents that we propose provide the easy-to-operate interaction with a real object, which augments educatees' interest in learning, thus leading to their active and voluntary attitude toward learning. Furthermore, The authoring and management tool and log analysis system allow us to construct learning programs by children's achievement level and to monitor in real-time the learning development of children educatees by understanding the situation and behavior of their learning development from the analytic results obtained by observing the processes of educatees' solving problems for themselves, and utilizing them for evaluation materials for lesson plans.

The Weightless Neural Network(WNN) has the advantage of the processing speed, less computability than weighted neural network which readjusts the weight. Especially, The behavior information such as sequential gesture has many serial correlation. So, It is required the high computability and processing time to recognize. To solve these problem, Many algorithms used that added preprocessing and hardware interface device to reduce the computability and speed. In this paper, we proposed the Ram based Sequential Cumulative Neural Network(SCNN) model which is sign language recognition system without preprocessing and hardware interface. We experimented with using compound words in continuous korean sign language which was input binary image with edge detection from camera. The recognition system of sign language without preprocessing got 93% recognition rate.
The natural user interface/experience (NUI/NUX) is used for the natural motion interface without using device or tool such as mice, keyboards, pens and markers. Up to now, typical motion recognition methods used markers to receive coordinate input values of each marker as relative data and to store each coordinate value into the database. But, to recognize accurate motion, more markers are needed and much time is taken in attaching makers and processing the data. Also, as NUI/NUX framework being developed except for the most important intuition, problems for use arise and are forced for users to learn many NUI/NUX framework usages. To compensate for this problem in this paper, we didn't use markers and implemented for anyone to handle it. Also, we designed multi-modal NUI/NUX framework controlling voice, body motion, and facial expression simultaneously, and proposed a new algorithm of mouse operation by recognizing intuitive hand gesture and mapping it on the monitor. We implement it for user to handle the "hand mouse" operation easily and intuitively.
Normally vision-based 3D human pose recognition technology is used to method for convey human gesture in HCI(Human-Computer Interaction). 2D pose model based recognition method recognizes simple 2D human pose in particular environment. On the other hand, 3D pose model which describes 3D human body skeletal structure can recognize more complex 3D pose than 2D pose model in because it can use joint angle and shape information of body part. In this paper, we describe a development of interactive game contents using pose recognition interface that using 3D human body joint information. Our system was proposed for the purpose that users can control the game contents with body motion without any additional equipment. Poses are recognized comparing current input pose and predefined pose template which is consist of 14 human body joint 3D information. We implement the game contents with the our pose recognition system and make sure about the efficiency of our proposed system. In the future, we will improve the system that can be recognized poses in various environments robustly.

As various interfacing devices for computational machines are being developed, a new HCI method using hand motion input is introduced. This interface method is a vision-based approach using a single camera for detecting and tracking hand movements. In the previous researches, only a skin color is used for detecting and tracking hand location. However, in our design, skin color and shape information are collectively considered. Consequently, detection ability of a hand increased. we proposed primary orientation edge descriptor for getting an edge information. This method uses only one hand model. Therefore, we do not need training processing time. This system consists of a detecting part and a tracking part for efficient processing. In tracking part, the system is quite robust on the orientation of the hand. The system is applied to recognize a hand written number in script style using DNAC algorithm. Performance of the proposed algorithm reaches 82% recognition ratio in detecting hand region and 90% in recognizing a written number in script style.

A three-dimensional image capturing device and its signal processing algorithm and apparatus are presented. Three dimensional information is one of emerging differentiators that provides consumers with more realistic and immersive experiences in user interface, game, 3D-virtual reality, and 3D display. It has the depth information of a scene together with conventional color image so that full-information of real life that human eyes experience can be captured, recorded and reproduced. 20 Mega-Hertz-switching high speed image shutter device for 3D image capturing and its application to system prototype are presented[1,2]. For 3D image capturing, the system utilizes Time-of-Flight (TOF) principle by means of 20MHz high-speed micro-optical image modulator, so called 'optical resonator'. The high speed image modulation is obtained using the electro-optic operation of the multi-layer stacked structure having diffractive mirrors and optical resonance cavity which maximizes the magnitude of optical modulation[3,4]. The optical resonator is specially designed and fabricated realizing low resistance-capacitance cell structures having small RC-time constant. The optical shutter is positioned in front of a standard high resolution CMOS image sensor and modulates the IR image reflected from the object to capture a depth image (Figure 1). Suggested novel optical resonator enables capturing of a full HD depth image with depth accuracy of mm-scale, which is the largest depth image resolution among the-state-of-the-arts, which have been limited up to VGA. The 3D camera prototype realizes color/depth concurrent sensing optical architecture to capture 14Mp color and full HD depth images, simultaneously (Figure 2,3). The resulting high definition color/depth image and its capturing device have crucial impact on 3D business eco-system in IT industry especially as 3D image sensing means in the fields of 3D camera, gesture recognition, user interface, and 3D display. This paper presents MEMS-based optical resonator design, fabrication, 3D camera system prototype and signal processing algorithms.
