Recently as the interesting in geospatial technology increases, various research and education in that regard is proceeding actively. This study developed 'GEospatial Education Platform Service' for development and extension of domestic geospatial technology. GEEPS's objective are efficient utilization and environment composition about geospatial technology in educational institution and research institute. GEEPS has developed to integrate with benefits of open source software and developed Korea Land Spatialization R&D Program. In addition, we surveyed and analysed GEEPS's monitoring to seek for utilization and development planning of GEEPS and we came up with activation and advancement planning.

According to the NGIS (National Geographic Information System) project conducted since 1995, the central and local government has been accumulating huge amount of geospatial data. Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport started its GeoSpatial open platform (V-World) service in January 2012, also offering a wide range of functions and services. However, the National GeoSpatial open platform is still woefully deficient for the users to find their desired data, lack of data for private business area, insufficient in publicity of local government and public-private partnerships. Through analyzing current research trend after GeoSpatial open platform served for three years, study on overseas expansion, system links, service improvement, utilization and future strategy has been mainly conducted. This study, by analyzing the advanced overseas GeoSpatial platform as well as domestic research trend and combining the concept of new technology, business platform and SMG (Seoul Metropolitan Government)'s GeoSpatial platform, proposes a policy for the construction of future GeoSpatial Open Platform model.

Recently, the South Korean government actively opens the public data to encourage people to use it in private sector. It is based on 'Government 3.0' that is the paradigm for government operation. According to this trend, a data platform is required for establishing and commercializing business models that utilizing geospatial data. However, it is currently insufficient to establish the geospatial data system using the text-based public open data. This study constructs a geospatial data supply system using the public data for the purpose of providing and using the public data of spatial reference type efficiently. It improves the accessibility of user and the usability to the public data having location information. Besides, this study suggests that the components of the appliance system that connects the public data from different public institutions for different purposes with producing the geospatial data in the type of a finished product.

Recently, there has been much interest in the converged platform that enables the harmonized collection, integration, exchange, presentation and analysis of various kinds of marine information by using the ICT means. Regarding such the converged platform, S-100 standards including the international hydrographic data model are being announced and various studies have been published based on the S-100 standards. However, the existing studies have presented simple solutions for only given problems on the converged service of the maritime information. They could not propose the design concept of the converged platform which makes it possible to provide the standardized and integrated services among the geospatial data, the real-time maritime data, and the next ENC. Therefore, we propose design and implementation details of the converged service platform for the geospatial and the maritime data based on the S-100, WMS, WMTS, WPS, SOS standards. The proposed platform has advantages of supporting both the S-57 and the S-101, supporting the converged services of heterogeneous geospatial data and ENC data, supporting the real-time services of sensor data such as weather, AIS, and CCTV, and supporting the development of various kinds of maritime systems such as ECDIS, ECS, VTS based on the WebApp service. Finally, we proved the effectiveness of our proposed platform through the actual implementation of the converged service of geospatial data, S-101 data, and KWeather data.

Recently the violent crimes is the emerging social issue and the crime prevention is important policy both for maintenance of public order and the national welfare. To prevent these crimes with the geospatial data, we study the geospatial crime DB features, analytical method and linking method of current National Police Agency's crime system data. In this study, the Geospatial Information Open Platform(Vworld) was used to map the test site crime DB on the thematic map. We also researched the mesh-up thematic map and optimal location model of petrol car and CCTV.

The V-world, Spatial information open platform map service, provides various national spatial data. Recently, with the development of IT technology, demand for 3D geospatial data that can be merged with new industries such as Internet of Things(IoT) and autonomous vehicles is increasing. Because 3D geospatial data is large and complex, many computer resources are used to provide map services. Most of the 3D map services, such as Vworld, are constructed binary data in consideration of performance. However, this type of data is incompatible because it is difficult to use in other services if there is no precise understanding of the specification. In this paper, we propose a data serialization method to improve the compatibility of new Vworld 3D format which is constructed in binary form. The performance of binary data and serialized binary data is tested and compared. As a result, it is expected that the data using the serialization technique will be similar to the binary data and contribute to improve compatibility.

In recent years, the attention on the applications of the national or international standards to water-related information technology in practice has more increased. In particular, as the demand on spatial information technology including content development, receiving, disposal and distribution has increased, the importance of standardization has been also emphasized. However, compared with attention and demand on standardization in spatial information technology, studies on development and application of standardization are still at the initial stage. Accordingly, this study attempted to investigate the trends of international standards developed and established by International Organization for Standardization(ISO) and Open Geospatial Consortium(OGC), and to derive the adaptable integrated management standard technology for water hazard information platform. For this, we investigated big data, NoSQL, and cloud technology for the observed data provision. Furthermore, OGC WxS standard technologies for spatial information web service and ISO standards for spatial information format were investigated. Based on these investigations, we examined the strategies and plans to apply and establish the standardization for information provision.

USN(Ubiquitous Sensor Network) environment that provides the service measured from sensors in real-time the information is delivered to application service. However, domestic service, application service provider environment between providers and users, most of the research are on the service platform architecture, and process the information detected by sensors between the providers of standard services platform architecture, which is a very weak level. In this paper, we proposed new service architecture though analysis of the OGC SWE(Sensor Web Enablement) with standards and research analysis of domestic standards. And we designed and implemented to each component of provider side.

Advance in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is intensely influenced to increase importance of Software on global ICT industries. The trend of technological development has been transformed from hardware-oriented environment to software-oriented environment. This industrial transformation brought novel trend to Software market. Open Source Software (OSS) has been widely distributed for private uses. At the same time, many governmental offices are planning to expand the use of OSS. In this paper, we analyze the strength and weaknesses of OSSs for both Web and WAS servers based on 4 types of testing environments which are created by the combination of 5 selected OSSs. We anticipated to learn the optimal system architecture design for the next generation of V-World through this research.
