This study gives an account of the collateral standards in IEC 60601-1-3: 2008 specifying the general requirements for basic safety and essential performance of diagnostic X-ray equipment regarding radiation protection as it pertains to the production of X-rays. The collateral standards establish general requirements for safety regarding ionization radiation in diagnostic radiation systems and describe a verifiable evaluation method of suitable requirements regarding control over the lowest possible dose equivalent for patients, radiologic technologists, and others. The particular standards for each equipment can be determined by the general requirements in the collateral standard and the particular standard is followed in the risk management file. The guidelines for radiation safety of diagnostic radiation systems is written up in ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 60601-1-3(2002)1st edition, medical electric equipment part 1-3, and the general requirements for safety-collateral standards: programmable electrical medical systems. Therefore the diagnostic radiation system protects citizens' health rights with the establishment and revisions of laws and standards for diagnostic radiation systems as a background for the general requirements of radiation safe guards applies, as an international trend, standards regarding the medical radiation safety management. The diagnostic radiation system will also assure competitive power through a conforming evaluation unifying the differing standards, technical specifications, and recognized processes.

In this study the information requirements of the personnel of Korean general hospitals are investigated. The results of the survey reveal that the information requirements of the general hospital personnel are quite different from each other according to their occupation type. The results show that the integrity of information about patients and the pervasiveness of information regarding to overall hospital operations are two major factors that differentiates the information requirements variation among occupation types of general hospital personnel. The results show that doctors, nurses, and medical technologists can be grouped into a occupation group, and that the admission department personnel and the patient affairs personnel can be grouped into another group. The results also show pharmacists and nutrition technicians constitute separate occupation groups of their own, respectively.

QS-9000 was established by Chrysler, Ford, General Motors and some Truck Manufactures to solve problems of efforts to prepare original standards for each company. When we compare the requirements in QS-9000 with those in ISO 9000, we may observe that those of QS-9000 are more specific, since the user of the standard is limited to the automobile industry. In particular, the requirements on statistical techniques are described in more detail. In this paper, we present the requirements on statistical techniques in QS-9000. Specifically, we review the contents of QS-9000 and explore the philosophy and the minimum requirement on statistical techniques behind the description.

A public space of the general hospitals is for the patron, especially handicapped patrons, the aged, and pregnant women. Therefore, it should be designed with consideration of the users' specific requirements for the environment. The Universal Design has been introduced as the general design principle which satisfies the users' specific requirements for the environment. The main object of this study is to propose the universal design checklist of the general space for the medical space which guarantees the patients' comfort livings without the restriction of the physical environment. The general space is determined according to the orthopedic surgery outpatients' movements in the domestic general hospital. Based on the criteria set by the law, we visited the general hospitals located in Seoul and did on-the-spot research. In this paper, we analyze the present situation and the problems of the general hospitals and propose the Universal Design Checklist.

The first task for the development of a train system is to define the system and to determine its requirements. Reliability target is one of the requirements defined in the system requirements. In railway applications it is advised to follow the procedures given in IEC 62278 to fulfill reliability requirements. The reliability requirements are derived from the customer's needs. The way in which the system requirements reflect the customer's needs is strongly dependent on the characteristics of the product. In general the customer of commercial trains presents the system requirements from their needs. However, the relation between the customer and supplier is equivocal for a project to development a prototype train, and the reliability program should be different from that of an usual commercial project. This paper deals with the reliability management and assessment plan carried out for the on-going "Next generation high-speed train development project".

Although Medical Care System pays medical fee for each patients with the establishment of National Medicare System, patients cannot be equally benefited from hospitals. At present, the Korean government provides minimum requirements on medical facilities in enforcement of medical law, but it is not enough to guarantee the rights of patients. The purpose of this study is in search for the way to improve the minimum requirements of ward which will be needed to examine the present situation of general hospitals, to find out their problems, and to compare the law of medical facilities in korea.

This is to provide basic information and technical data, supported by literature search, for use in designing and /or evaluating ventilation systems for broiler shelters. At first, the general design information including weather data, building requirements, ventilation requirements, and supplemental heating and cooling, was presented. Then, environment requirements for broilers, which are for temperature, humidity, air movement, radiant heat, were described and the optimal ventilation systems for broiler were developed.
