  • Industrial accidents and the resulting worker injuries have adverse effect on industry. • For the success of a festival, effective volunteer management is axiomatic. Given the dramatically increased size and quality of festivals and events in Korea over the past fifteen years, the importance of effective volunteer management has been overlooked among festival organizations in comparison to similar festivals in western countries. This paper provides a description and an assessment of the Hi Seoul Festival 2009 volunteer program based on an seven-step ideal process of an effective festival volunteer program with suggestions for the program development by reviewing organizational documents, and an interview with a staff member of the Hi Seoul Festival organization, and a survey pertinent to festival volunteers' motivation. This study shows college students are more interested in volunteering at festivals in Korea with the primary motivation of developing relationships and gaining work experience. It also suggests that the Hi Seoul Festival organization should fully appreciate the importance of an effective volunteer program and the position and work of a volunteer coordinator.

  • This study applicates one of the five elaborated functional analyses of Piotr Stztompka to the housewives’study. The four general assumptions of plurality, wholeness, integration and boundary of the simple system issue the eight specific solutions; reciprocity, exploitation, consensus, conflict, dependence, autonomy, isolation and structural context of the relationships among the various elements of the system. From the eight specific assumptions of the housewives’studies, we have found that many managerial subsystem studies see the housewives’relationships to other elements in their reciprocity, concensus, dependence and isolation characteristics. If the assumptions of autonomy and structual context are used to this kind of study, we can understand the housewives’problem and potential but as an active subject of their humanlives, not as a simply passive primary manager of the family, and we can find a new concept of the development to change the housewives’quality of life.

Method: A descriptive correlational study was conducted with convenience sample of 448 staff nurses who were working for six general hospitals located in Seoul, Province of Gyeonggi and Province of Chung-cheong. The period of data collection took over 5 months between August and December. Organization Culture Questionnaire developed by Lee (2001) were used to measure nursing organizational culture. Collected data were analysed on SPSS Win 12.0. Result: The meta culture of the nursing organizations was the conservative culture. The cultural pattern of nursing organizations was classified into three patterns which were conservative-dominant culture, symmetric culture and innovative-task culture. Conclusions: The meta culture of the nursing organizations was the conservative culture. But conservative culture decreased nurses' outcomes. Therefore the nurse manager should develop a symmetric organizational culture including four types of culture than dominant culture of one type.

  • In general, standard TCP/IP (transmission control protocol-internet protocol), which is called TCP/IP, is using as the communication basis protocol between any collections of networks that is connected. In this paper, using this TCP/IP implementation of remote control system and suitable program for long distance communication is proposed. This system can make system, which basic Ethernet and TCP/IP used system, to mini modeling, so all module that is using here can be used. Therefore, intention of this paper is to reduce expenses, to effective manage for plant and to increase of productivity as linking each plant of several factory to TCP/IP and Ethernet, and then many control plant and manager minimize the needed course.

The subjects of this study are 133 nurses who have worked for more than three months at five general hospitals with more than 300 beds in S city. As a result of the study, nurses' retenstion was higher than those of under 25 years of age between 30 and 35(F=3.313, p=.039).The professional self-concept of hospital nurses has been identified as an influence factor of intent to serve. Professional self-concepts have been shown to be better with higher peer-care and consideration(r=.397, P=.004). The peer group caring interaction behavior can occur not only between colleagues but also between managers. Therefore, it is necessary to proceed with the manager's group caring interaction as a follow-up study.

  • Nowadays the Design-Build Delivery Method in public sector has been remarkably grown up in applying owing to its merits such as shortening construction duration. The Fast-Track is the wide-using method for accelerating schedule at Design-Build projects. But the public agency is in trouble to execute Fast-Track because of the lack of guideline for its process. As a result, in some cases applying Fast-Track methods, cost and construction duration are increased more than cases of non-Fast-Track projects. In this study, through the questionnaire surveys to professionals having actual implementation experiences as a construction manager, owner or general contractor, key success vehicles of Fast-Track are induced.
