Content Analysis of the Experience of Youth Correction Program Participation -Walking Correction Program of "Gilwi School"- (청소년 교정프로그램 참여경험에 대한 내용분석 : "길위학교" 걷기 교정프로그램)

  • This study is focusing on teenagers who are needed a correction program called "Gillwe School". This program has a companion who is called a guide and the guide leads them correction program while walking with teenagers. This report has represented 131 semantic units, 7 sub-constituencies and 4components through analysis of 46 cases of the companion participants stories since 2014 and clearly, defined as the final four regions ("Understanding of protection youth", "Positive change of companion's gaze", "Doubts the walking program", "Program's effectiveness and Companion's importance,".) Through a series of studies, I look forward to finding ways to develop programs for the protection of juvenile correctional professionals, such as trarining professional counselors for protection youth, duration and number of correction programs, and expanding the number of participants.

  • 모니터의 한 좌표를 응시하고 있을 때의 눈 영상을 카메라로 획득하고, 눈 영역 영상에 대한 눈동자의 좌표를 계산하여 사용자가 모니터의 어느 부분을 응시한 것인지를 알아내는 것이 본 논문의 주요 목적이다. 카메라로 획득하여 계산된 눈동자의 좌표는 2차원 평면상에서 계산된 것이므로, 응시 각도나 응시 거리등의 3차원 정보가 손실되어 응시점에 대한 보다 정확한 매핑을 하기 위해 눈동자 좌표의 보정이 필요하게 된다. 획득된 눈 영상의눈동자 좌표 이외에 흰자위 비율 및 원형 템플레이트를 사용한 가중치 벡터를 더하여 개략적으로 얻어진 눈동자 좌표에 대한 응시 초점의 오차를 보정한다. 눈 영상에서의 보정된 눈동자 응시 초점 좌표를 모니터 평면 좌표로 매핑하여 모니터에 대한 사용자의 응시점을 찾아낸다. 이때, 계산된 모니터의 응시점이 명령 영역에 해당하면, 해당 명령을 실행시킴으로써 사용자는 모니터 화면을 응시하는 단순 동작만으로 컴퓨터에게 원하는 명령 실행을 요구할 수 있으므로 키보드나 마우스의 입력 장치를 본 시스템으로 대체할 수 있다.

Hole Filling Method for Natural Eye Gaze Correction (자연스러운 눈맞춤 영상을 위한 홀 채움 방법)

  • 영상회의 장치에서 눈맞춤 영상을 생성하기 위해 어파인 변환(affine transformation)을 이용하면 반올림 오차(round-off error) 때문에 홀이 발생한다. 이러한 홀을 채우려면 홀 영역을 가리키는 홀 채움 마스크가 필요하다. 홀 채움은 보통 홀 채움 마스크를 참조하여 홀이 아닌 이웃 화소값들을 기반으로 손상된 영상을 복원하는 작업이다. 따라서 홀 영역을 정확히 검출하고 적당한 개수의 이웃 화소값을 참조해야 자연스러운 홀 채움 영상을 생성할 수 있다. 한편, 눈맞춤 영상을 생성할 때 얼굴 특징점을 이용해 얼굴 변환 마스크를 만들고, 얼굴 변환 마스크에만 어파인 변환을 수행한다. 이 논문에서는 얼굴 특징점에도 어파인 변환을 수행하고 수정된 얼굴 변환 마스크를 획득하여 정확한 홀 채움 마스크를 구한다. 또한, 홀 채움 마스크에서 레이블링을 수행하여 큰 홀 영역을 제거한다. 마지막으로, 어파인 변환을 수행할 때 기존 영상의 좌표값을 이용하여 자연스러운 홀 채움 영상을 생성한다. 제안하는 방법으로 홀 채움을 수행한 결과, 연속적인 눈맞춤 동영상에서 이웃값들을 참조하여 홀 채움을 수행한 영상보다 자연스러움을 확인했다.

Mutual Gaze Correction for Videoconferencing using View Morphing (모핑을 이용한 화상회의의 시선 맞춤 보정 방법)

  • Nonverbal communications such as eye gazing, posture, and gestures send forceful messages. In regard to nonverbal communication, eye gazing is one of the most strong forms that an individual can use. However, lack of mutual gazing occurs when we use video conferencing system. The displacement between locations of the eyes and a camera gets in the way of eye contact. The lack of eye gazing can give unapproachable and unpleasant feeling. In this paper, we propose an eye gazing correction for video conferencing. We use two cameras installed at the top and the bottom of the television. The captured two images are rendered with 2D warping at virtual position. We implement view morphing to the detected face, and synthesize the face and the warped image. The result shows that eye gazing is corrected and correctly preserved and the image was synthesized seamlessly.

Changes in Eyebrow Position and Movement with Aging

  • Background This study evaluated dynamic changes in eyebrow position related to aging. Methods Female participants were recruited and separated into two groups aged 20-30 years (the younger group, n=20; mean age, 24.8 years) and 50-70 years (the older group, n=20; mean age, 55.8 years). Photogrammetry was used to determine the eyebrow position at the medial canthus (MC), lateral limbus, lateral canthus, and lateral end point (EP) for 6 actions: smooth opening (the reference action) and closing of the eye, forward gaze, maximum opening and closing of the eye, and maximum frown. Videos were also recorded. Results No differences in eyebrow position were detected at the MC when opening or closing the eyes smoothly, gazing straight ahead, or closing the eyes maximally. For all 6 actions, the position of the lateral EP in the older group was significantly lower than in the younger group (P=0.003), and the smallest degree of vertical movement at this point was found in both age groups (P<0.001). Vertical movement at the 4 landmarks of the eyebrows decreased with aging. Conclusions Eyebrow position was unchanged at the MC with aging, except at maximal eye opening and maximal frown. No differences in eyebrow position were observed between the younger and older groups when eyes were maximally closed, except at the EP. It is important to focus on correction of the lateral EP for periorbital rejuvenation.

Face Detection based Real-time Eye Gaze Correction Method Using a Depth Camera (거리 카메라를 이용한 얼굴 검출 기반 실시간 시선 보정 방법)

  • 본 논문에서는 화상통신의 현실감을 증진시킬 수 있는 화자 간 시선 맞춤 시스템을 제안한다. 제안하는 방법은 Kinect 거리 카메라로부터 입력된 영상에서 화자의 얼굴 영역을 획득하여 화자의 시선이 카메라를 응시하도록 획득한 영역을 변환한 후에 원본 영상과 합성한다. Kinect 거리 카메라에서 획득한 얼굴 영역에는 다양한 형태의 잡음이 많아 미디언 필터와 모폴로지 연산을 통해 얼굴 영역의 잡음을 제거한다. 화자의 위치에 상관 없이 화자가 카메라를 응시하는 영상을 생성하기 위해서 Kinect 가 제공하는 거리 정보를 이용하여 시선 보정 각도와 회전 축을 획득한다. 시선이 보정된 얼굴 영역은 원본 영상에서 존재하지 않는 영역을 포함하고 있기 때문에, 원본 영상의 각 화소를 삼각형 메쉬로 구성한 후 해당 영역을 보간하여 최종적으로 시선이 보정된 영상을 생성한다. 제안하는 방법은 시선 맞춤 영상을 생성하는 데 필수적인 눈과 주변 얼굴 영역만 선택해서 변환하므로 영상의 왜곡이 적고 실시간 처리가 가능하다는 장점이 있다. 또한 카메라와 화자 사이의 거리 정보를 이용해 화자의 위치에 적응적인 시선 맞춤 영상을 생성할 수 있다. 실험을 통해 Intel i5 CPU 를 장착한 PC에서 $320{\times}240$ 크기의 영상을 사용할 경우 초당 약 35 프레임의 보정된 영상을 생성하여 제안하는 방법이 실시간 처리가 가능하다는 것을 확인하였다.

A Study on the Patterns Used in the Hanbok in the Latter 1990s (1990년대 후반 한국 전통 의상에 사용한 문양에 관한 고찰)

  • This research was designed to study the different kinds of ancient patterns applied to the Korean traditional suit and the symbolism associated with these patterns being used the prevalent Han-bok collections in markets. The shapes and changes in the use of the patterns can be summarized as follows. The published collections in the last 5 years were specifically concentrated between 1996 and 1997, proving that the development in Han-bok designs was most active during that time. But the trend decreased due to the effects of a depressed domestic economy. The plant pattern was the most utilized pattern for practical purposes. It looks beautiful and it is also easily manufactured with open space. Symmetrical and linear arrangements make customers feel stable at sight and these patterns tend to attract public gaze resulting in increased sales. There is a problem whether to continue using the existing patterns of the Han-bok without any correction or whether to copy the pattern of the kimono or the western suit. Copying other patterns definitely hurts the elegance of the Han-bok. It is time for us to not only keep our own traditions but also to study and develop new patterns that are distinct from the Chinese and Japanese patterns. The following are suggested as the basic materials.

A Study of the Scene-based NUC Using Image-patch Homogeneity for an Airborne Focal-plane-array IR Camera (영상 패치 균질도를 이용한 항공 탑재 초점면배열 중적외선 카메라 영상 기반 불균일 보정 기법 연구)

  • The detector of a focal-plane-array mid-wave infrared (MWIR) camera has different response characteristics for each detector pixel, resulting in nonuniformity between detector pixels. In addition, image nonuniformity occurs due to heat generation inside the camera during operation. To solve this problem, in the process of camera manufacturing it is common to use a gain-and-offset table generated from a blackbody to correct the difference between detector pixels. One method of correcting nonuniformity due to internal heat generation during the operation of the camera generates a new offset value based on input frame images. This paper proposes a technique for dividing an input image into block image patches and generating offset values using only homogeneous patches, to correct the nonuniformity that occurs during camera operation. The proposed technique may not only generate a nonuniformity-correction offset that can prevent motion marks due to camera-gaze movement of the acquired image, but may also improve nonuniformity-correction performance with a small number of input images. Experimental results show that distortion such as flow marks does not occur, and good correction performance can be confirmed even with half the number of input images or fewer, compared to the traditional method.

Balanced Tucking of the Levator Muscle and Müller's Muscle in Blepharoptosis (거근건막 전진을 병용한 Müller Turking에 의한 안검하수의 교정)

  • The levator and $M{\ddot{u}}ller^{\prime}s$ muscle balanced tucking was performed to correction myogenic or aponeurotic blepharoptosis. Through the blepharoplasty incision, the upper half of tarsal plate was exposed and the orbital was opened to show the levator aponeurosis. the $M{\ddot{u}}ller^{\prime}s$ muscle dissected from the upper border of the tarsal plate and from the posteriorly located conjunctiva with sharp scissors. $M{\ddot{u}}ller^{\prime}s$ muscle was advanced about 3 mm to 8 mm on anterior surface of the tarsal plate and fixed approximately upper one third of the tarsal plate with three horizontal 6-0 Nylon mattress sutures. The amount of tucking of $M{\ddot{u}}ller^{\prime}s$ muscle was controlled by the location of the upper eyelid margin 2 mm below the upper limbus in primary gaze after first temporary fixations suture in the maximum superior point of the limbus. The amount of advancement of levator aponeurosis was controlled by the location of the upper eyelid margin 1 mm below the upper limbus in primary gaze after first temporary fixations suture in the maximum superior point of the limbus. And then levator aponeurosis was fixed with three horizontal 6-0 Nylon mattress on beside the point that was tucked $M{\ddot{u}}ller^{\prime}s$ muscle. We have been thirty cases with levator and $M{\ddot{u}}ller^{\prime}s$ muscle balanced tucking from January 2004 to Jun 2005. 3 cases were traumatic blepharoptosis with 3-5 mm ptosis and poor levator function. 27 cases were myogenic or aponeurotic blepharoptosis with 2-5 mm ptosis with and more than 4 mm of levator function. the age of the patients ranged from 6 to 78 years. The levator aponeurosis and $M{\ddot{u}}ller^{\prime}s$ muscle tucking procedure can reduce the amount of the levator and $M{\ddot{u}}ller^{\prime}s$ muscle resection, and improve discomfort when the patients open eyes.

Real-time Eye Contact System Using a Kinect Depth Camera for Realistic Telepresence (Kinect 깊이 카메라를 이용한 실감 원격 영상회의의 시선 맞춤 시스템)

  • In this paper, we present a real-time eye contact system for realistic telepresence using a Kinect depth camera. In order to generate the eye contact image, we capture a pair of color and depth video. Then, the foreground single user is separated from the background. Since the raw depth data includes several types of noises, we perform a joint bilateral filtering method. We apply the discontinuity-adaptive depth filter to the filtered depth map to reduce the disocclusion area. From the color image and the preprocessed depth map, we construct a user mesh model at the virtual viewpoint. The entire system is implemented through GPU-based parallel programming for real-time processing. Experimental results have shown that the proposed eye contact system is efficient in realizing eye contact, providing the realistic telepresence.
