Form and Location of Chiseong(square-shaped lookout) Constructed in Hanyangdoseong(Seoul city wall) of the 18th Century (18세기에 축조된 한양도성 치성의 형식과 위치)

  • The purpose of this study is to research about the construction of Chiseong around the Heunginjimun Gate area in the 18th century. the conclusions derived from the historical evidence of the number, location, size, and form, and construction method of Chiseong was as follows. First, the Chiseong(Square-shaped lookout) of Hanyangdoseong was built in the 29th year of King Yeongjo(1753) and can be found in the national record. Five sites of the Chiseong are currently identified. It is assumed that the Foru was installed on top of some of the Chiseongs. Second, Chiseong was destroyed sequentially in the first half of the 20th century. Third, Chiseong is a rectangular in shape and six are constructed. Fourth, Sixth Chiseong could figure out through Hengryeopungsokdo, the drawing of Jeong Seon.

Validation Study for Image Performance of I-131 Using GATE Simulation Program (GATE 시뮬레이션 프로그램을 이용한 I-131의 영상 특성의 타당성에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to validate for GATE (Geant4 Application for Tomographic Emission) simulation by comparing the results of GATE simulation and experiment in real SPECT system. Futhermore, we want to prove that it is possible that the quantitative research of gamma camera/SPECT imaging for therapeutic radio isotope by using GATE simulation. In this study, the SPECT system on simulation referred to the parameters of Stream-R Forte version 1.2 (Philips Medical System, Best and Heerlen, Netherlands). To understand the I-131 image of gamma camera/SPECT system, we acquired the energy spectrum and measured the full width at half maximum (FWHM) which comes from line spread function (LSF) with and without scatter material in real SPECT system. And to compare with experiment, we also measured the FWHM and acquired the energy spectrum without scatter material in GATE simulation. As a result, without scatter material, the energy peak was almost same location, which are located nearby 364 keV, and other spectrum factors are same tendency in both cases. The FWHM was increased by increasing the distance of source to detector, and the error rate was approximately 3.8%. When we used the line source with scatter material, energy spectrum also indicated similar tendency in both cases. As you confirmed earlier, GATE simulation included real instrument and radioisotope characters for therapeutic radioisotope. Therefore this result that it was possible that various quantitative study for therapeutic radioisotope imaging in gamma camera/SPECT using GATE simulation.

Implementation of Vehicle Location Identification and Image Verification System in Port (항만내 차량 위치인식 및 영상 확인 시스템 구현)

  • As the ubiquitous environment is created, the latest ports introduce U-Port services in managing ports generally and embody container's location identification system, port terminal management system, and advanced information exchange system etc. In particular, the location identification system for freight cars and containers provide in real time the information on the location and condition for them, and enables them to cope with an efficient vehicle operation management and its related problems immediately. However, such a system is insufficient in effectively handling with the troubles in a large-scale port including freight car's disorderly driving, parking, stop, theft, damage, accident, trespassing and controlling. In order to solve these problems, this study structures the vehicle positioning system and the image verification system unsing high resolution image compression and AVE/H.264 store and transmission technology, able to mark and identify the vehicle location on the digital map while a freight car has stayed in a port since the entry of an automatic gate, or able to identify the place of accident through image remotely.

  • The LBS(Location-Based Service), which is based on individual's mobility, is required increasingly as mobile telecommunication and various infrastructures have developed rapidly. The technologies for LBS are location determination technology, service platform technology, contents provider technology and moving object database technology generally. Among these, service platform must be interoperable with location gate-way server and provide common function of billing, authentification, protect location information, privacy control, location trigger and intelligent acquisition and so on. The TTA(Telecommunications Technology Association) published specification that defines a standard protocol for safe and simple interface between LBS client and LBS platform and the OpenLS(Open Location Service) in OGC (Open GIS Consortium) released implementation specifications for providing Location based core services. In this paper, we implemented service platform for LBS which is able to interoperable with location gateway server and contents provider and is caracterized as follows. First, it could require and response location information from different types of location gateway server with same interface. Second, it complies with the standard interfaces with OpenLS 4 contents providers for core LBS. Third, it could provide location of wired phone as well as wireless mobile terminal compling with the standard protocol. Last, it could provide trajectorH information based past location as well as current location, because it is able to interoperable with moving object DBMS. This paper contributes to the construction and practical use of LBS by providing the method of implementation of service platform for LBS.

The Feng-Shui Location and Spatial Composition of Junkyung and Youngkyung Tomb at Samcheok (삼척 준경묘와 영경묘의 풍수적 입지와 공간구성)

  • This research aims to examine the characteristics of tomb sites including tomb mound and attached buildings and also to find out the principles reflected in the traditional oriental Feng-Shui location and spatial composition of Junkyung and Youngkyung tomb at Samcheok. The results of this study are as follows. These tombs harmonize with each other in the cosmic dual forces because Junkyung tomb is men's sex symbol and tiger to lie on his belly and Youngkyung tomb is women's sex symbol in geographical feature. Spatial structure in these tomb sites were placed in a reflected line following the hierarchy of metaphysics by standing high Geumchunkyo(Bridge)-Hongsalmun(Gate)-Jegak(Pavilion)-Bongbun(Tomb mound). Axis structure of these tombs is irregular bent-axis type from Geumchunkyo to Bongbun, specially in case of Youngkyung tomb it is getting more refractive. These tombs are divided into and characterized by three zones. Firstly the space for living people constitutes from Geumchunkyo to Hongsalmun, secondly the semi-sacred space constitutes from Hongsalmun to Jegak, and lastly the space for the dead constitutes from the back of Jegak to Bongbun. - type Jegak instead of T type Jegak generally used at Chosun Dynasty was installed because of claypan stretched out in front of Junkyung tomb and Bongbun of Youngkyung tomb located at a ravine between two mountain ranges.

Evaluation of Relative Corrosion Rate depending on Local Location and Installation of Structural Member in Steel Water Gate (강재 수문의 부재 위치 및 설치 방향에 따른 상대 부식속도 평가)

  • The corrosion amounts of steel structures can be different depending on their installation condition and height. Thus, their corrosion maintenance should be considered depending on installation conditions of local structural members. In this study, an atmospheric exposure test was conducted to evaluate the corrosion amount and the corrosion rate depending on the installation condition and height of a steel water gate using monitoring steel plates and corrosion environment measuring sensors. The mean corrosion depth was evaluated using the weight loss method and the galvanic corrosion current was measured by corrosion environment measuring sensors. Local corrosion rate of local structural member in steel water gate was estimated using measured mean corrosion depths and galvanic corrosion currents. From this measurement results, the corrosion damage in horizontal member of the cross beam was highly evaluated than those of other structural member as skin plate, etc. The relative difference in the corrosion rate of a local structural member could be highly affected by local corrosion environments of steel water gate members. Therefore, an appropriate maintenance method should be considered for local corrosion damages of local structural members determined by local corrosion environments of a steel water gate.

Simulation of Ceramic Powder Injection Molding Process to Clarify the Change of Sintering Shrinkage Depending on Flow Direction (유동방향과 밀도이방성 분석을 위한 세라믹 분말사출성형 해석)

  • This study has focused on manufacturing technique of powder injection molding of watch case made from zirconia powder. A series of computer simulation process was applied to prediction of the flow pattern in the inside of the mould to clarifying the change of sintering shrinkage depended on flow direction. The material properties of melted feedstock inclusive of the PVT graph and thermal viscosity flowage properties were measured for obtaining the input data in computer simulation. Also, molding experiment was conducted and the results of experiment showed that good agreement with simulation results for flow pattern and weld line location. On the other hand, gravity and inertia effect have an influence on velocity of melt front because of high density of ceramic powder particles in powder injection molding against the polymer injection molding process. In the experiment, the position of melt front was compared with upper gate and lower gate position. The gravity and inertia effect could be confirmed in the experimental results.

  • An active-matrix LCD using thin film transistors (TFT) has been widely recognized as having potential for high-quality color fiat-panel displays. Pixel-Design Array Simulation Tool (PDAST) was used to profoundly understand the gate signal distortion and pixel charging capability, which are the most critical limiting factors for high-quality TFT-LCDs. In addition, PDAST can estimate voltage distributions in common electrode which can affect pixel voltage and feed-through voltage. Since PDAST can simulate the gate, data and the pixel voltages of a certain pixel on TFT array at any time and at any location on an array, the effect of common electrode voltage can be effectively analyzed. The information obtained from this study could be utilized to design the larger area and finer image quality panel.

  • A traditional mold design has been conducted by an experience-based trial and error, whereby the mold designer would decide the gate locations and processing conditions based on the caring characteristics and its functional requirements. The paper suggests an optimal gate location and processing conditions in the injection molding using a global search method referred to as micro genetic algorithm( ${\mu}$ GA). ${\mu}$ GA yields the optimal solution with a small size of population without respect to design variables for saving time that is needed to calculate the fitness of many individuals. Due to the reason, the paper uses a commercial analysis package of injection molding(CAPA) to analysis a state of flux. In addition to that, axiomatic approach .is applied in the beginning of design. It is a useful method to draw a well-organized and reasonable idea to handle a problem.

  • Injection molding simulation provided optimized design results by analyzing quality problems while the product is in assembly or in the process of manufacturing with make automobile plastics. Frequent change of design, change of injection molding, repetition of test injection which was held in the old way can now be stopped. And quality upgrade is expected instead. This report deals with the effect which the position of injection molding automobile console gate and number has on product quality including pressure at end of fill, bulk temperature at end of fill, shear stress of end of fill, residual stress at post filling end, product weld lines and warpage results. Simpoe-Mold simulates the complete manufacturing process of plastic injected parts, from filling to warpage. Simpoe-Mold users, whether they are product designers, mold makers or part manufacturers, can identify early into the design stage potential manufacturing problems, study alternative solutions and directly assess the impact of such part modification, whatever the complexity and geometry of such parts, shell part as plain solid parts.
