계자권선형 12슬롯-10극 자속 역전식 동기 전동기의 최적 설계 (Optimal Design of Field-Excitation Flux-Switching Synchronous Machine for ISG Application)

  • In recent years, ISG (Integrated Starter and Generator) system receives a great attention for electric electrification of normal gasoline vehicle. As a cost-effect machine design, an ISG without a permanent magnet is considered. A 12slot-10pole field-excitation flux-switching synchronous machine (FEFSSM) is designed and analyzed via JMAG. The active parts such as the field excitation coil and armature coil are located on the stator. The rotor part consisting of single piece iron makes it more robust and suitable to apply for high speed motor drive system application coupled with reduction belt. The design target is the motor with a maximum torque of 40Nm, a maximum power of 10kW and a maximum speed of 14000 rpm. In this paper, design optimization method is proposed for high torque capability.

국내 데이터를 고려한 전기 자동차 충전 시 순시전압강하에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Voltage Sag During the EVs Charging Considering Domestic Data)

  • In order to charge EVs, they have to be connected to distribution system. Therefore, if unprecedented numbers of EVs are connected to power systems, it could result in deterioration of power quality, overload, and other system problems. In this paper, the effects of voltage sag on the distribution system due to the connection of EVs is evaluated by considering related field data of Republic of Korea such as the number of gasoline-fueled vehicles, seasonal load of power system and the monthly and daily real-time traffic volume. The distribution system and EVs are modeled using the Electro Magnetic Transients Program (EMTP).

  • Since LPG has a higher octane number and a lower maximum combustion temperature than gasoline it is getting more popular for reducing emissions from the vehicle This paper when an LPG engine works in the range of idle analyzed the operating range preciously an provides reducing method of emissions for the LPG engine. An electronic control unit(ECU) for the LPG engine using a feedback mixer is presented. The ECU is built by using a microcontroller MC68HC05. A PI-controller is imple-mented in the ECU in order to handle to handle Air/Fuel ration control. The experimental results exhibit that the required engine performance are satisfied at idle.

가솔린자동차와 전기자동차의 에너지비용 조사 (A Research on Energy Cost of Electric Vehicles and Gasoline Vehicle in On-road Use Condition)

  • 대우자동차는 1992년 이래로 전기자동차 개발사업을 추진하고 있으며 1996년에는 전기자동차의 Fleet 운영시험을 위해 10대의 씨에로 개조형 전기자동차를 제작하였다. 이 씨에로 전기자동차에는 고성능 연축전지, 교류유도전동기, 탑재형 충전기 및 전동조향배력장치 등이 장착되어 있으며 고등기술연구원에서는 전기자동차의 Fleet 운영시험의 일환으로 시외 일반도로 운행조건에서 전기자동차의 에너지비용을 조사하기 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 두 대의 씨에로 전기자동차를 용인시와 안성군 지역의 일반도로에서 1998년 4월부터 운행하였으며 이 운행시험 결과를 바탕으로 일반도로 주행조건에서 씨에로 전기자동차의 에너지비용과 동급의 가솔린자동차인 씨에로 1.5DOHC A/T 차량의 에너지비용을 계산하였다. 두 대의 전기자동차중 한 대의 연비는 5.7 km/kWh이었으며, 다른 한 대의 연비는 5.8 km/kWh이었다. 이에 비해 가솔린자동차의 연비는 13.7 km/l로 년간 20,000 km를 주행한다고 가정할 때 가솔린자동차의 년간 주행비용은 전기자동차의 3.4∼18.0배가 되는 것으로 나타났다. 이 시험을 통해 향후 전기자동차의 개발을 위해 유용하고 가치있는 많은 데이터를 얻었다.

광주지역의 $VOC_s$ 배출량산정에 관한 연구 (Studies of $VOC_s$ Emission Rate Calculation in the Kwang-ju Area)

  • This study was conducted from January to December in Kwang-ju city, 1999. Calculated methods were studied by emission factors in each industrial species. The results was that total emission rate of VOC was calculated at a mount of 12305 ton/year as coating(49.4) > vehicles(27.4) > gasoline vapors(6.1) > petroleum refineries(5.6) > graphic arts(4.4) > road covering(4.1) > dry cleang(3.0%) respectively. In vehicles emission rate, passenger car and taxi were about 2,700 ton/yr(60%) of total vehicle emission(3,300 ton/yr). The amount of building emission rate was about 1,900 ton/yr(30%) of total coating emission 6,083 ton/yr.

40피트 경량 컨테이너 트레일러의 내구성 평가 (Durability Evaluation of a Lightweight 40-feet Container Trailer)

  • The need for the lightweight of special vehicle trailer frame is substantially growing due to high gasoline prices and serious environmental issues. In this study, we develop a new lightweight sub-frame for large container trailers and evaluate its durability through a fatigue test. To this end, a reliable three-dimensional parametric finite element model of a sub-frame is constructed and then an optimized lightweight sub-frame is newly developed by using the Taguchi method. Next, we make a trial product of the optimized lightweight sub-frame and conduct a driving test to identify the driving load history at vulnerable areas. Finally, we evaluate the durability of the developed lightweight sub-frame through a fatigue test based on the load history.

  • In an attempt to minimize the air pollution caused by CO2, $NO_X$x, and $SO_X$ and the fuel cost, the auto industries and researchers recently are looking into replacing the diesel and gasoline cars with hybrid electric vehicles, plug-in electric vehicles, or battery powered electrical vehicles. This paper reports the technical status of the primary components such as batteries, motors, power control units and auxiliary parts to be used for electric vehicles.

  • Due to the excellent durability of Timing Chain, it has been widely used for vehicle engine system. Unlike the timing belt, since the timing chain is operated with the metallic sprocket, the lubrication system is absolutely needed to get this system start. As frequently met at the field, the lubricant has a strong tendency to leak out from the engine due to its severe operating environment. In this paper, results of investigation for thermal movement of aluminum chain cover were described to maximize the sealing ability which is desperately needed at the development stage of engine. Based on these results, some ideas for reproducing the leakage phenomenon and solving methods were proposed.

  • Fast burning achieves higher efficiency, and reduces cycle variations which is able to improve vehicle driveability. Furthermore, the greater resistance to knock with fast burning can allow the fuel economy advantages associated with higher compression ratio to be realized. One way of increasing the combustion speed is to enhance the performance of ignition systems which were able to reduce the early period of combustion. It is well known that shortening the initial stage of combustion also reduces the cyclic variations. This literature survey deals with the papers which have studied the ignition process or various ignition systems. Those systems increasing the combustion speed, extending the lean misfire limit, reducing the exhaust gas and stabilizing the operating condition of the spark ignition engine by modifying the ignition process or increasing ignition energy.

  • HMC has developed the lean burn system with alpha 4-valve into domestic market in the end of 1997. In a viewpoint of saving energy and prevention of global warming (CO2 reduction), the lean burn system has recently attracted a considerable attentions in gasoline engines. There has been, however, difficulty in extending LML(Lean Misfire Limit) enough to meet the emission regulations and satisfaction of driveability. In this paper some descriptions will be given upon the new technology of lean bum engine which will be installed in Accent, especially the improvement of the combustion, the development of engine management system such as intake system and wide range air fuel control strategy, and the result of vehicle test.
