절삭공구용 Ti(C, N)피막의 HCD식 이온도금시 공정변수의 영향 (HCD Ion Plating of Ti(C, N) Films for Cutting Tools)

  • Effects of process variables of HCD ion plating on the film composition of Ti(C, N) were analyzed. The mole ratio of carbon to nitrogen and that of non-metal to titanium in the film primarily depend on the partial pressure ratio of ($C-2H_2$/ $N_2$) and total reactive gas pressure, respectively. The amount of nonmetallic com-ponents increases in nonlinear fashion as the total gas pressure due to the different reactivity of $C-2H_2$ and $N_2$ gases with Ti. The nonmetallic components was saturated dwith nitrogen when the nitrogen gas was more than 60% of total reactive gas. These two process variables could be related systematically using the concept of effective pressure in which the difference of reactivity of each gas was normalized.

  • The effect of nitrogen gas pressure in arc ion plating on surface properties of the TiN-coated high speed steel(SKH51) is presented in this paper. The surface roughness, micro-particle, micro-hardness, coated thickness, atomic distribution of TiN, and adhesion strength are measured fur various nitrogen gas pressures. It has been shown that the nitrogen gas pressure has a considerable effect on the surface roughness, adhesion strength, atomic distribution of TiN, and surface deposition of TiN of the high speed steels but that it has little influence on the micro-hardness and coated thickness.

  • In this paper, we investigated influence of gas pressure and gas mixing ratio on the abnormal discharge characteristics of fluorescent lamp. Abnormal discharge characteristics have been examined by changing inner gas pressure and mixing ratio. As the inner gas pressure and mixing ratio increase, the occurrence of abnormal discharge was delayed. It was found out that the occurrence of abnormal discharge is sufficiently delayed at the optimized inner gas pressure and mixing ratio.

  • Dynamic flow characteristics of a solenoid valve are affected by pressure difference in inlet and outlet of orifice, gas temperature, and supply voltage of a coil. In this paper, the dynamic flow characteristics for deviations of various conditions are studied Static and dynamic flow for variation on-time of a solenoid valve open signal are measured in basic bench test. The solenoid valve is applied to a compressed natural gas(CNG) engine test for validation of flow control performance. The experimental results show that flow of high pressure gas can controlled precisely by using a solenoid valve.

  • We present 12CO (2-1) data for four spiral galaxies (NGC 4330, NGC 4402, NGC 4522, NGC 4569) in the Virgo cluster that are undergoing different ram pressure stages. The goal is to probe the detailed molecular gas properties under strong intra-cluster medium (ICM) pressure using high-resolution millimeter data taken with the Submillimeter Array (SMA). Combining this with Institut de RadioAstronomie $Millim{\acute{e}}trique$ (IRAM) data, we also study spatially resolved temperature and density distributions of the molecular gas. Comparing with multi-wavelength data (optical, $H\small{I}$, UV, $H{\alpha}$), we discuss how molecular gas properties and star formation activity change when a galaxy experiences $H\small{I}$ stripping. This study suggests that ICM pressure can modify the physical and chemical properties of the molecular gas significantly even if stripping does not take place. We discuss how this affects the star formation rate and galaxy evolution in the cluster environment.

  • The destruction by accident is affected by the blast of explosion. However, there are few of research on the external effect of vented gas explosions. Therefore it is necessary to study the effect of vented explosion. This study aims to find the characteristics of gas explosion, and the effect of vented gas explosion. Using an explosion chamber, we obtained a LPG explosion characteristics according to the vent size and concentration. The result of experiment showed that the explosion pressure effect to external space was much stronger than inner space during the course of a gas explosion. And the external pressure become higher in explosion pressure as the vent diameter become smaller.

디젤 분무와 천연 가스 분류의 거동 특성에 관한 기초 연구 (A Basic Study of the Behavior Characteristics of Diesel Spray and Natural-gas Jet)

  • This basic study is required to examine spray or jet behavior depending on fuel phase. In this study, analyses of diesel fuel(n-Tridecane, $C_{13}H_{28}$) spray and natural gas fuel(Methane, $CH_4$) jet under high temperature and pressure are performed by a general-purpose program, ANSYS CFX release 11.0, and the results of these are compared with experimental results of diesel fuel spray using the exciplex fluorescence method. The simulation results of diesel spray is analyzed by using the combination of Large-Eddy Simulation(LES) and Lagrangian Particle Tracking(LPT) and of a natural gas jet is analyzed by using Multi-Component Model(MCM). There are two study variables considered, that is, ambient pressure and injection pressure. In a macroscopic analysis, the higher ambient pressure is, the shorter spray or jet tip penetration is at each time after start of injection. And the higher injection pressure is, the longer spray or jet tip penetration is at each time after start of injection. When liquid fuel is injected, droplets of the fuel need some time to evaporate. However, when natural gas fuel is injected, the fuel does not need time to evaporate. Gas fuel consists of minute particles. Therefore, the gas fuel is mixed with the ambient gas more quickly at the initial time of injection than the liquid fuel is done. The experimental results also validate the usefulness of this analysis.

  • 진공챔버는 진공게이지 교정, 산업에서의 재료처리 등 여러 가지 다양한 용도에 맞게 적용이 가능하다. 이 진공챔버 내부에서 가스가 유입되는 과정에서의 진공도는 일정하게 유지하기가 힘들다. 산업체 응용에서뿐만 아니라 연구과정에서도 진공챔버 내부에 가스가 유입되는 동안의 내부압력분포와 최대도달 평형압력을 아는 것이 매우 중요하다. 이러한 진공챔버 내부의 압력 불균형을 감소시키기 위해서 가스 주입구 부분에 baffle을 이용하는 방법이 있다. 현재 지속적인 기체흐름이 있는 진공챔버 내부의 기체흐름의 작용에 관해 0.1 Pa~133 Pa 영역에서 불규칙한 압력을 최소화하기 위한 baffle plate의 효과에 대해 연구하였다. 최대편차는 가스 주입구 부분에서 나타나는 압력으로 baffle plate가 전환흐름영역에서 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

  • This work presents an investigation of aerodynamic characteristics of fuel spray injected from a high pressure hollow cone swirl injector into a constant volume chamber. Laser tomography visualization was used to interrogate the fuel and air mixing characteristics and the effect of chamber pressure and temperature increase was analyzed, Preliminary results on spray development showed that mixing effect tends to increase with the increase of injection pressure and chamber gas pressure yielding a decrease of spray penetration and an attenuation of well-defined vortex structure. Topological analysis of the spray structure has been performed to initiate the understanding of mixing and vaporization process. For the present experimental conditions fuel injection pressure and chamber gas pressure appear as the dominant factors which govern the transient mixing characteristics. Moreover spray atmixation characteristics are improved by increasing chamber gas temperature.

압력변화에 따른 Ar/N2및 Kr/N2혼합가스의 절연파괴 특성 (Breakdown Characteristics of Ar/N2 and Kr/N2Gas Mixtures with Pressure Variation)

  • 본 연구는 방전쳄버내에 각종 가스의 압력(58.8-137.3[kPa]) 변화에 따른 순수가스인 Kr, Ar 및 $N_2$가스의 절연 특성을 조사하고, 혼합가스인 Ar/$N_2$및 Kr/$N_2$가스의 절연 특성과 비교하였다. 또한, 실용 백열전구내의 혼합가스에 위한 각종 특성을 조사하였다. 실험 결과, $N_2$가스의 압력변화에 따른 절연 특성은 큰 분자량을 가진 Kr 및 Ar가스에 비하여 증가되었으며, 가스의 압력이 증가됨에 따라 절인파괴전압은 증가되었다. Ar/$N_2$및 Kr/$N_2$가스의 절연파괴전압은 $N_2$가스의 혼합비가 적을수록 감소되었으며, Kr(70%)$N_2$(30%)가스의 코로나개시전압은 Ar(70%)/$N_2$(30%)가스에 비해 증가되었다. 일반 백열전구에 Ar(70%)/$N_2$(30%)가스인 경우에 비해, Kr(70%)/$N_2$(30%)가스에서 광속과 수명이 대략 94[lm] 및 380[hr]으로 증가되었다. 백열전구내의 냉각온도가 20[$^{\circ}C$]일 때 혼합가스 주입압력은 40[$^{\circ}C$])에 비해 대략 13[%] 증가되었다.
