수평 마이크로 T 자관에서의 2상 환상류 유동분배에 관한 연구 (Study on Dividing Two-phase Annular flow in a Horizontal Micro T-junction)

  • The objective of the present study is to investigate the dividing two-phase flow in a horizontal micro T-junction with the same rectangular cross section, $800\;{\mu}m{\times}800\;{\mu}m$, experimentally. Air and water were used as the test fluids. The superficial velocity ranges of air and water were 15~20 m/s and 0.11~0.2 m/s, respectively. Dividing flow characteristics at the micro T-junction are different from those at the larger T-junctions (5~10 mm in hydraulic diameter). Compared with the results of previous works related with the T-junction with mini cross sections (about 5 mm), for lower range of gas separation, the fraction of the liquid separated through the branch decreases for the fixed fraction of the gas separation. But for higher range of gas separation, higher liquid separation could be found.

협소 사각유로에서 대향류 2상유동의 기공률과 압력구배 (Void Fraction and Pressure Gradient of Countercurrent Two-Phase Flow in Narrow Rectangular Channels)

  • An experimental study on the countercurrent two-phase flow in narrow rectangular channels has been performed. The void fraction and the pressure gradient were investigated using air and water in 760 mm long, 100 mm wide. vertical test sections with 2, 3 and 5 mm channel gaps. Tests were systematically performed with downward liquid superficial velocities and upward gas velocities covering 0 to 0.08 and 0 to 2.5 m/s ranges. respectively. the experimental results were compared with the previous correlations, which were mainly for round tubes, and the qualitative trends were found to be in good agreements. However the quantitative discrepancies were hardly neglected. as the superficial gas velocities increased, the void fraction increased and the pressure gradient decreased, where the effects of the liquid superficial velocities were infinitesimal. as the gap width of the rectangular channel increased the void fraction and the 2-phase frictional pressure gradient approached those values for the round tubes. Equi-periphery diameter, rather than the hydraulic diameter, seemed to be more effective in the analysis of two-phase flow behavior.

  • 이 연구의 목적은 회분식 반응기에서 반응폭주에 의하여 2상(기상-액상)에서 적용가능한 파열판의 크기를 설계하는 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 반응폭주의 정의는 제어가 되지 않은 냉각수 투입불가 또는 운전조건의 이탈에 의한 비정상적으로 발열반응을 말한다. 이 결과로 반응기의 온도는 급격히 증가하게 된다. 반응폭주의 원인은 크게 자기과열반응과 지연반응으로 구분한다. 일반적인 안전밸브나 파열판의 내경 크기로는 폭주반응시에는 적절하게 압력을 해소할 수 없다. 폭주반응 시 반응온도 및 압력이 급격하게 증가하기 때문에 안전밸브로 분출되는 내용물은 2상이다. 이 연구에서는 최근 회분식 반응기의 폭주반응으로 인하여 사고사례의 원인을 분석하고, 2 상으로 분출현상 및 특징을 설정하고, 이에 적절한 파열판의 크기를 설계하여 적용하는 방안을 제시하고자 한다.

Experimental study on single- and two-phase flow behaviors within porous particle beds

  • In this study, the pressure drop behavior of single- and two-phase flows of air and water through the porous beds filled with uniform and non-uniform sized spherical particles was examined. The pressure drop data in the single-phase flow experiments for the uniform particle beds agreed well with the original Ergun correlation. The results from the two-phase flow experiments were analyzed using numerical results based on three types of previous models. In the experiments for the uniform particle beds, the data on the two-phase pressure drop clearly showed the effect of the flow regime transition with a variation in the gas flow rate under stagnant liquid condition. The numerical analyses indicated that the predictability of the previous models for the experimental data relied mainly on the sub-models of the flow regime transitions and interfacial drag. In the experiments for the non-uniform particle beds, the two-phase pressure loss could be predicted well with numerical calculations based on the effective particle diameter. However, the previous models failed to accurately predict the counter-current flooding limit observed in the experiments. Finally, we propose a relation of falling liquid velocity into the particle bed by gravity to appropriately simulate the CCFL phenomenon.

  • 공기양정(air-lift) 펌프는 양수 조작이 어려운 곳이나 물밑의 탐사, 특히 수중의 부서지기 쉬운 침전물을 손상시키지 않고 제거하거나 회전 임펠러를 손상시킬 수 있는 혼합물의 이송에 이용하는 특수한 양수펌프이다. 이 연구에서는 공기양정펌프의 주요부 분인 라이저 즉, 수직상승관에 대한 기액유동 이론 및 기존의 연구 결과에 따른 실험식을 이용한 성능예측 프로그램에 의해 양수 특성을 운전조건에 따라 고찰하고 기존의 실험결과와 비교하였다. 그 결과 공기양정펌프의 양수성능은 잠수비와 라이저의 단면적에 근사적으로 선형비례하며 최적의 효율이 얻어지는 가스질량유량을 설정할 수 있음을 보였다.

  • 최근 공학적으로 응용 범위가 넓은 액체-기체의 2상 유동장에 대한 전산 해석이 주목을 받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 밀도차가 큰 압축성 2상 유동장을 해석하기에 적합하도록 기존에 개발된 RoeM과 AUSMPW+ 공간 이산화 기법을 확장하였다. RoeM과 AUSMPW+에서 사용되는 충격파 포착항을 2상 혼합류의 상태방정식으로부터 새롭게 정의하여, 밀도와 음속이 상이한 두 유체에서도 정확성을 보장하면서 충격파 불안정성을 제거할 수 있도록 하였다. 개발된 2상 유동 RoeM과 AUSMPW+를 몇 가지 예제 문제에 적용하여 검증하였으며, 해석 결과는 두 수치기법이 일반적인 2상 유동에서도 충격파 안정적이며 정확한 특성을 갖는 것을 보여주었다.

  • In this study turbine flowmeters were used to predict volumetric flow rate of each phase in two-phase, gas-liquid, flowing in a vertical tube. To determine volumetric flow rates of two-phase, air-water, flowing vertically upward through the polycarbonate tube(57mm ID-inside diameter), two turbine flow meters were used. For void fraction measurements, two gamma densitometers were used at each location of the turbine flow meter, one at the upstream and the other at the downstream. It was determined that the turbine flowmeter's outputs were a function of actual volumetric flow rate of each of the two phases. A two-phase flow model was developed.

냉장고 증발기 배관의 2상유동양식 예측 및 소음 평가 (Prediction of Two-phase Flow Patterns and Noise Evaluation for Evaporator Pipe in a Refrigerator)

  • The refrigerant after the expansion valve interchanges the heat at the evaporator. At this moment, the state of gas and liquid becomes two-phase flow and causes irregular noise. In order to avoid the noise, the two-phase flow pattern should be predicted. In this paper, the procedure to predict the two-phase flow patterns such as churn flow and annular flow was suggested using the CFD software. The experiments using refrigerant-supplying equipment was carried out and the noise levels according to the flow pattern were measured. The flow patterns predicted by this procedure showed good agreement with those by experiments. The churn flow is noisier than annular flow pattern.

  • A study of counter-current two-phase flow in narrow rectangular channels has been performed. Two-phase flow regimes were experimentally studied in 760 mm long and 100 mm wide test sections with 2.0 and 3.0mm gaps. The resulting data have been compared to previous transition models. For the transition from bubbly to slug flow the superficial velocity of gas increased as the gap width increased. The comparison of experimental data to the transition model developed by Taitel and Barnea showed relatively good agreement for the bubbly-to-slug transition in the case of 2mm gap width. For the criteria of Mishima and Ishii to be applicable to the slug-to-churn transition the distribution parameter should be well defined for narrow channels. Even though the gap width of narrow channels increased the superficial gas velocity did not change for the transition form chum to annular flow regime. For the chum-to-annular transition the model of Taitel and Barnea showed discrepancies with experimental data, especially in the channel with larger gap.

  • The high-pressure die-casting is one of the most effective methods to produce a large amount of products in short cycle time. This process, however, has a problem that the gas porosity defect appears easily. The generation of gas porosity is known mainly due to the air entrapment during the injection stage. Most of numerical simulations for the molten metal flow pattern observations have done in the treating of one phase fluid flow but the gas-liquid interface is essentially multi- phase phenomenon. In this paper, the two-phase fluid flow numerical simulation methods have been adapted to predict the gas porosity generations in the molten metal. The accuracy and the usefulness of the new simulation module have been emphasized and verified through some comparison experiments.
