Recently, people aim for a healthy environment which enhances quality of life, and also there are communication in green space like therapy garden and weekend farm growing. Meanwhile, in Korea, administrative organizations have leaded to plan and proceed in reference to physical regeneration in local areas, and this had caused social and maintenance problems. The purpose of this study was to introduce a concept of community garden which is regarded as green and community space and to insist on a way of residents participation on plan for community garden and its necessity. For that, there were five ways of residents participation on plan for community garden based on literatured and theoretical contemplation and case studies, and these were subject to construction project of community garden in deteriorated area in Jeonju city. This study can provide improvement guidelines for the initial stage of plan for residents participation community garden.

This study focuses(selected) on garden facilities of designer gardens created at the 1st and 2nd Seoul Garden Shows and examined installed facilities at each designer garden by categorization according to type, material and functions. The study observed problems occurring from maintenance of garden facilities as time passes by and collected basic data to develop maintenance guideline aiming to make contribution to further spreading and promotion of high quality garden culture. This study examined all gardens created at 1st and 2nd Seoul Garden shows in 2015 and 2016. There were 18 gardens built in 2015 and 16 in 2015.The study looked at responsible entities for maintenance of facilities and examined maintenance system for managing these gardens. Garden facilities of the study were categorized into paving, facility for rest, playground, water facility, environmental sculpture and planting media facility according to categorization by landscape design standards and construction guidelines. Target gardens of this study are maintained mostly by citizen gardeners who are passionately carrying out maintenance work while communicating with designers. However, these citizen gardeners lack technical knowledge to manage various facilities. Also, maintenance manuals submitted by garden designers do not offer sufficient details on facility maintenance which calls for professional maintenance and clear instructions on facilities from early phase of design.

The rear garden of the Ch'angdok Palace is considered to be representative of gardens of the 15th century to the end of Choson Dynasty in the early 20th century and is very well preserved. Therefore with its long history, it's been represented in various way. This study tried to interprete the rear garden of the Ch'angdok Palace in terms of 'text through king Jungjo's "Sangrimshipkyog". Jungjo's "Sangrimshipkyng" that describes scenery related to ten place of the rear garden of the Ch'angdok Palace was written when he was a crown prince. And the scenery of ten places can't be separated from their physical looks and those ten places were quite different from now. For that reason, to begin with, this study recomposed those ten places through maps and drawings that revived the current looks and rear garden. And what poems tried to tell and what meanings whey had in the literacy of that age that allowed "poem enchained ten scapes" were studied in the context of co-relationship with space. As a text it is very ancient and questions arise on how to correctly interpret the information it holds. But this interpretation is only one side of the various aspects that the rear garden of the Ch'angdok Palace has compared to its long history. In light of the present age an interpretation can have richer and more varied meanings, creating many new viewpoints. creating many new viewpoints.

본 연구는 조경·정원분야 기후변화 대응을 위한 역할로서 자연기반해법의 실증을 위한 실험적 설계를 제시하고, 탄소중립 사회를 위한 공간 전략적 방안과 문화 산업으로서의 역할을 제시하는 목적으로 진행되었다. 환경 보호와 탄소중립 사회 형성을 목표로 저 관리형 정원으로서의 탄소저감 효과를 위한 전략을 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 모델정원의 기능과 공간 요소, 탄소중립과 관련된 내용들을 보다 과학적인 데이터로 수집할 수 있도록 실질적 모델정원을 설계하고 조성하였다. 대상지는 국립세종수목원 내에 위치한다. 탄소저감 기능을 측정하는 실험구를 중심적으로 배치하며, 그 외 공간은 드라이가든과 커뮤니티 가든, 초화원 등으로 전시와 휴식을 할 수 있는 공간을 두었다. 실험구는 바이오차 부설 양, 식재밀도, 식재 수종에 따른 탄소저감 효과를 분석할 수 있게 타입을 구분하였다. 탄소저감을 위한 시설 적용과 시공 방식은 '지구를 위한 10가지 탄소정원 가꾸기'의 방식을 적용하였다. 대표적으로 빗물의 활용시설, 저탄소 인증 목재 활용, 인근지역 자재 사용을 적용하였다. 또한 각각의 시설 및 시공 방식에 따른 탄소저감 효과를 비교하여 제시하였다. 이 결과는 탄소중립 사회를 실현하기 위한 대응 방안을 모색하는 데에 중요한 기초 연구가 될 것으로 기대되며, 정원 산업 등 지속 가능한 발전이 필요한 다양한 분야에서의 참고가 될 것으로 기대한다.

If landscape is formed from quiet identity the place possesses, the problem of landscape in the garden Atlantique face the problem of the identity. Therefore, this study examined the identity of the garden Atlantique in the co-relationship between th garden and landscape. The garden 'Atlantique' was made on a rectangular slate roof at the Montparnasse station in Paris, France in 1994. The garden is bounded on all sides by the buildings of the mixed business and residential area that surround the station. Before the flat slate roof above the platform and parking structure was installed there was no garden. Because the slate roof area was the only area that the garden could be built, it was necessarily restricted in design and seems to have little or no visual relation to its surroundings. As two elements to understand the garden Atlantique, a recognition of esthetic system of landscape around and understanding of physical environment of the site are required. Therefore, this study tried to know how the physical elements of the garden makes the landscape in the relation with the environment and what kind of landscape can be seen in there through the poetics of landscape (une poetique du paysage) and the reculture (la reculture).

The study aims to examine preferences between community residents and visitors in designing a rural community garden. It analyzed diverse aspects of a garden design including garden's function, location, management subject, components and so on. The survey was conducted on residents or visitors participants with a self-administered survey questionnaire. The results revealed that both residents and visitors highly preferred a rural community garden as a role of relaxation, appreciation, and healing. Meanwhile, there were differences of preference for location and garden components between residents and visitors. The results implicated that residents' preference and characteristics of a community are essential in designing a rural community garden, which will lead to sustainable garden construction.

This study is a plan for the Jeju Sanghyo Botanical Garden construction, and it is prepared to maintain the identity of the local landscape by composing the garden using the local landscape resources. The goals of becoming one of world's best, garden centered botanical garden and at the same time one that represents culture of Jeju. Unusual species are included in the collection and with the general collection, special collection and exhibition by different kinds are planned to be offered to the public. The garden will demonstrate the world's various types of gardens in a compressed way. It is our endeavor to become center of culture beyond plant education and exhibition, drawing a large number of people to our garden. Moreover, conservation of Jeju's unique botanic resources will be carried out and the garden will show the garden culture. Due to the size of the site, different themes will be exhibited in one zone in a parallel. Unique combination of each local landscape resource will create own theme. The display will be divided into three different stages: the 1st stage is an educational exhibition, assisting more understanding of distinguishing different locations, the second is exhibition by various species and the final stage will show an ideal way to develop a garden with harmony of various plant species.

Comprehensive landscape architectural services provided from schematic design through construction document for this 22,000 square foot, linear, urban rooftop garden situated on top of an in-ground parking garage. The Butterfly Garden serves as a green buffer between a fully renovated historic, seven story condominium building and 15 newly constructed luxury town houses. The park was developed with the cooperation and input from the Washington Butterfly Society during an intensive design charette. The garden will one day soon serve as an ecological amenity to the residents of Alban Towers as well as the surrounding community.

The region activation have attracted much attention of politician, government, scholar, local residents and so on, but it is very difficult and delicate. The policy of Inje-Gun government are jump into the lucrative tourism, the strong agriculture, the comfortable welfare and the attentive administration. But the present status is very poor. Economic self-supporting index is only 19%. The policy will achieve by increase of economic self-supporting. I am going to propose some item for region activation in Inje-Gun. The items are medicinal garden construction, green tourism, local festival, residents increase and so on.
