Objective : This case report presents the effect of Galgunhwangryunhwanggum-tang and Galgunhwangryunhwanggum-tang gagambang on hypertension. The patient was diagnosed with Taeyang-byung based on Shanghanlun provisions. Methods : According to Shanghanlun seven meridian patterns diagnostic system, we diagnosed the patient as Taeyang-byung and he has been suffering from hypertension. The patient was treated with Galgunhwangryunhwanggum-tang & Galgunhwangryunhwanggum-tang gagambang and it was provided for 40days Results : After the treatment, the degree of hypertension reduced from BP 138-90 to 130-80 Conclusions : This case study show an effectiveness of using Galgunhwangryunhwanggumtang and Galgunhwangryunhwanggum-tang gagambang according to Diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions on hypertension.

Objectives : This case report presents the effect of Galgunhwangryunhwanggum-tang on dysmenorrhea. The patient was diagnosed with Taeyang-byung based on Shanghanlun provisions. Methods : According to Shanghanlun seven meridian patterns diagnostic system, we diagnosed the patient as Taeyang-byung and she has been suffering from dysmenorrhea. The patient was treated with Galgunhwangryunhwanggum-tang. and it was provided for 2 months. Results : After the treatment, the degree of dysmenorrhea reduced from 10 to 2 on VAS. Conclusions : This case study show an effectiveness of using Galgunhwangryunhwanggum-tang according to Diagnostic system based on Shanghanlun provisions on hyperhidrosis.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to assess the antidiabetic effect and safety of Galgunhwangryunhwanggum-tang for type 2 diabetes without complications by analyzing related research. Methods: For a systematic review and meta-analysis, we searched for the antidiabetic effect and safety of Galgunhwangryunhwanggum-tang for type 2 diabetes without complications in 10 databases up to September 2021. Only randomized controlled trials were chosen. Results: In the treatment effectiveness analysis and meta-analysis, Galgunhwangryunhwanggum-tang had significant improvement effects on fasting plasma glucose level, 2-hour postprandial glucose level, glycated hemoglobin, fasting insulin, and homeostasis model assessment for insulin resistance compared to the control group when treated in parallel with oral glycemic drugs. Conclusion: Galgunhwangryunhwanggum-tang is effective in improving blood sugar and insulin resistance in type 2 diabetes patients without complications and can especially be considered in parallel treatment with oral hypoglycemic drugs. A large-scale randomized controlled clinical trial is required to complement the limitations presented in this study in the future.

Objective : The purpose of this study was to report the improvement in a patient with cystitis by a herbal medication based on Shanghanlun disease pattern identification diagnostic system (DPIDS). Methods : A patient was diagnosed with cystitis according to DPIDS. The patient was treated with Galgunhwangryunhwanggum-tang. Results : The symptoms of cystitis disappeared after treatment and did not recur after 4 months. Conclusions : The herbal medication Galgunhwangryunhwanggum-tang is effective in this case of cystitis.
