Automatic measurement of gage block using digital image processing (디지탈 화상처리를 이용한 게이지 블록의 측정 자동화)

  • We have carried out a research on automatic measurement of gage blocks below 250mm and then improved the accuracy of the system, and reduced the measurement time using image processing technique and computer interface. The accuracy of the system is (230+10330 $L^{2}$)$^{2}$ nm (L:m) with confidence level of 95%. We participated APMP gage block intercomparision-1993/1994. The 1st round intercomparision showed that the measured values of all 5 gage blocks were within 21 nm from average.

광간섭법을 이용한 절대높이 측정 정밀도 향상에 관한 연구

  • This paper proposes a high precision measurement technique to obtain the height of gage block. The proposed technique is consisted of two steps : In the first step, laser position transducer and electric micrometer are adopted to obtain a coarse value of the height of gage block, and then, second, heterodyne laser interferometry is adopted to acquire the precision value. The experiment results show that accuract in the order of a few nanometer is achieved for the gage blacks of as high as a few millimeter.

  • This paper proposes a high precision measurement technique to obtain the height of gage block with a few millimeter height. The proposed technique is consisted of two steps : In the first step, laser position transducer and electric micrometer are adopted to obtain a coarse value of the height of gage block, and then, in the second step, heterodyne laser interferometry is adopted to acquire the precision value. A new kind of phase detector is constructed in the low cost for the heterodyne interferometer and its linearity with ${\pm}1%$ is confirmed by experiment. Also measurement error factors due to enviroments are discussed and methodology to reduce such errors is proposed. Preliminary experiments are carried out for the gage blocks of as high as a few millimeter.

  • The linear length measurements are most frequently performed and should be most accurate among other parts in dimensional metrology. We developed the linear measuring system using a laser interferometer to improve the accuracy and to shorten the calibration time. The uncertainty of the system is 0.01 .mu. for 500mm steel gage block. The range of the measurement and resolution of the system are 1000mm and 0.01 .mu. m, respectively.

  • This study is to investigate harbor oscillation phenomenon according to combination of the wall structures by model experiment in a three dimensional wave basin. Six different types of wall combination were chosen through combination of erect wall, erect dissipation block, and sand beach, wave height at selected points in the harbor were measured by electronic wave gage. Test results show that the wall structure composed solely of erect walls showed generally highest harbor oscillation. Since natural beach shows lower reflection than erect dissipation block do, we thought it would be more efficient to use natural beach for improved harbor oscillation. The result showed, however, that the erect dissipation block are more efficient than natural beach to attain less harbor oscillation. The reason seens that the erect dissipation blocks have better capability to control breaking wave on the surface of the structure.

  • This paper describes the design of a cellphone curved glass measuring device using by camera. The measuring device was composed of two camera, two backlight system, a body and so on, and the program was made for a camera calibration and noise removal, and also the program was made for height measurement of a cellphone curved glass using by subpixel algorism. And then a new technique for measuring the height of the cell phone curved glass was proposed. The characteristics test of height measurement of gage blocks and cell phone curved glasses was carried out, the error of the height measurement of gage block is less than ${\pm}0.005$ and the error of the height measurement of the cell phone curved glasses is less than ${\pm}0.005$. Thus it thought that the designed cellphone curved glass measuring device and the new technique for measuring the height was used to measure the height of the cellphone curved glass.

  • 본 연구는 MLCC 구성성분의 증발/비등에 의한 저분자물질의 제거가 bar 수축에 미치는 영향도를 평가하기 위해, 압착 bar에서 발생하는 고농도의 out gas를 정량하기 위한 최적 system을 구축하고자 하였다. gas 포집에 범용적으로 사용하는 Purge & Trap sampler 대신 Heating block를 사용하여 gas를 발생시키고 동시에 solvent에 용해시킴으로써 고농도의 시료가 희석될 수 있는 전처리 장치를 디자인하였다. 그 결과 고농도 gas 주입에 의한 장비오염과 peak saturation 문제가 해결되었고, gas phase의 시료를 liquid phase로 상전이 시켜 autosampler를 이용한 정확한 량의 시료 주입이 가능하였다. System의 Gage Linearity와 Bias는 각각 1.7%와 1.3%로 개선이 필요없는 수준의 정확도를 가졌다.

Effects of Projection Height and Post Treatment on the Resistance Projection Weldability of Zn Coated Sheet Steels (아연도금 강재의 용접성에 미치는 돌기 성형 및 피복조건의 영향)

  • In this paper resistance projection weldability of Zn coated steels with post treatment has been discussed. Projection welding was performed by a condenser discharge type power source which was equipped with welding parameter monitoring system. Mechanical test results indicated that the effect of post coatings on the projection front changed showing very small very small spattering at the weld strength was negligible. However, contamination rate of the block electrode varied depending on the post treatment coatings. Test results also showed that projection height before welding should be kept to be 80-100% of the specimen thickness as far as the surface quality was taken into consideration. Based on the high speed photography, discharge condition at the beginning stage of the welding process. It was considered that the spattering reduced the weld strength slightly at the optimum heat input range.

  • Since cardiac pacemaker was first totally implanted by Chardack, Gage and Greatbatch [1966], the electrical circuity of the cardiac pacemaker has been improved, modified, and refined. The problem of transvenous electrodes, however, is still remained; this may be due to electrode displacement, exit and/or entrance block, lead fracture and insulation defects. In permanent cardiac pacing, Irreversible loss of function of the transvenous electrode catheter eventually requires insertion of new lead. Authors now report one case that disclosed easy displacement of electrode tip in early phase of implantation and then two years and five months later, malfunctioning electrode could not be withdrawn from the cardiovascular system because it has become firmly enclosed by fibrous tissue along its course from the vein tract to the right ventricle. Under such circumstances, the electrode catheter tip was left in tricuspid annulus after being sutured at its entrance and burying the loop of lead in generator pocket. New other one electrode was then reimplantation through left external jugular vein.

  • The purpose of this experimental study was to investigate the block shear fracture behavior and curling effect on a single shear-bolted connection in thin-walled carbon steel fabricated with four bolts. The specimens that fail by block shear were planned to have a constant dimension of the edge distance perpendicular to the loading direction, bolt diameter, pitch, and gage. The main variables of the specimens were plate thickness and end distance parallel to the loading direction. A monotonic tensile test was carried out for the bolted connections, and the ultimate behaviors, such as the fracture shape, ultimate strength, and curling, were compared with those that had been predicted using the current design specifications. The conditions of curling occurrence in terms of plate thickness and end distance were also investigated, and the strength reduction due to curling was considered.
