This study examined the nutrient components and physicochemical properties of three new potato cultivars: Gui Valley, Bora Valley, and Gogu Valley, which were acquired from PotatoValley Ltd., and compared them to the Superior cultivar that is widely distributed in food markets. Amino acid, fatty acid, and mineral compositions, as well as total starch, reducing sugar, dietary fiber, vitamin C, and phenolic acid contents were measured. The gelatinization and pasting properties of the potatoes were evaluated using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and a rapid visco analyzer (RVA). The three new potato cultivars showed differences for various characteristics compared to the existing Superior cultivar. The Gui valley cultivar has a high potential for processing into items such as French fries or chips, due to its high starch content and low reducing sugar content. Bora valley showed an incredibly high phenolic acid contents, and Gogu valley contained high levels of dietary fiber, minerals, vitamin C, and essential amino acids. Overall, these cultivars are expected to be highly valuable items for develpment and applications of functional food.
Feeding behavior of Temora turbinata was investigated through laboratory experiments with special emphasis on its food preference and consequent clearance rate on diatom and microbial components given as common natural food assemblage of coastal area (Uchiumi, Uwa Sea, Japan). Among available prey items, T. turbinata showed the highest clearance rate for Thalassiosira spp. ($0.23{\pm}0.08L\;Temora^{-1}day^{-1}$) followed by Chaetoceros spp. ($0.11{\pm}0.03L\;Temora^{-1}day^{-1}$), but clearance rates for other diatom, Nitzschia spp. was lower (0.03 to $0.07L\;Temora^{-1}day^{-1}$). Bacterial abundances showed no response against 24-h feeding of T. turbinata. Feeding of T. turbinata on heterotrophic nanoflagellates (HNF) was apparent when clearance rates of T. turbinata on diatoms were relatively low, but T. turbinata did not consume HNF as well as ciliates with Thalassiosira spp. of which clearance rate was highest. The results suggest that HNF and ciliates are possible supplementary prey item for T. turbinata, but their contribution as food sources can be limited by the presence of other prey items such as preferable diatom species.

Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) encapsulates computer hardware into a large amount of virtual and manageable instances mainly in the form of virtual machine (VM), and provides rental service for users. Currently, VM anomaly incidents occasionally occur, which leads to performance issues and even downtime. This paper aims at detecting anomalous VMs based on performance metrics data of VMs. Due to the dynamic nature and increasing scale of IaaS, detecting anomalous VMs from voluminous correlated and non-Gaussian monitored performance data is a challenging task. This paper designs an anomaly detection framework to solve this challenge. First, it collects 53 performance metrics to reflect the running state of each VM. The collected performance metrics are testified not to follow the Gaussian distribution. Then, it employs independent components analysis (ICA) instead of principal component analysis (PCA) to extract independent components from collected non-Gaussian performance metric data. For anomaly detection, it employs multi-class Bayesian classification to determine the current state of each VM. To evaluate the performance of the designed detection framework, four types of anomalies are separately or jointly injected into randomly selected VMs in a campus-wide testbed. The experimental results show that ICA-based detection mechanism outperforms PCA-based and LDA-based detection mechanisms in terms of sensitivity and specificity.
With various sensor network and ubiquitous technologies, we can extend interaction area from a virtual domain to physical space domain. This spatial interaction is differ in that traditional interaction is mainly processed by direct interaction with the computer machine which is a target machine or provides interaction tools and the spatial interaction is performed indirectly between users with smart interaction tools and many distributed components of space. So, this interaction gives methods to users to control whole manageable space components by registering and recognizing objects. Finally, this paper provides an effective spatial interaction method with template-based task mapping algorithm which is sorted by historical interaction data for support of users' intended task. And then, we analyze how much the system performance would be improved with the task mapping algorithm and conclude with an introduction of a GUI method to visualize results of spatial interaction.

A tape feeder of a SMD(Surface Mount Device) mounter is a device that sequentially feeds electronic components on a tape reel to the pick-up system of the mounter. As components are getting much smaller, feeding accuracy of a feeder becomes one of the most important factors for successful component pick-up. Therefore, it is critical to keep the feeding accuracy to a specified level in the assembly and production of tape feeders. This paper describes a tape feeder inspection system that was developed to automatically measure and inspect feeding accuracy using machine vision. It consists of a feeder base, an image acquisition system, and a personal computer. The image acquisition system is composed of CCD cameras with lens, LED illumination systems, and a frame grabber inside the PC. This system loads up to six feeders at a time and inspects them automatically and sequentially. The inspection software was implemented using Visual C++on Windows NT with easily usable GUI. Using this system, we can automatically measure and inspect the quality of all feeders in production process by analyzing the measurement results statistically.
This paper is focus on 3D virtual building design technic that construction materials are showed by components and these components are part of patterns, and building design using pattern is possible. To use this technique in process of construction, design, analysis, change, assembly, etc, we will develop flexible building design system that it supports efficient building change and low cost by construction design simulation. Specially also the designer and the user use a pattern and easily will be able to change the building and according to change pattern information of the materials, design of the buildings which are changed creates automatic. Also we will implement knowledge retrieval engine which is necessary to personal skill or visualization.

In this paper to cope with the reduction of products life-cycle as the variety of products along with the various demands of consumers, a virtual simulator is developed to make the changeover of manufacturing line efficient to embody a virtual simulation similar to a real manufacturing line. The developed virtual simulator can design a layout of a factory and make the time scheduling. Every factory has one simulator so that one product can be manufactured in the factories to use them as virtual factories. We suggest a scheme that heightens the ability to the diversity of manufacturing models by making the information of manufacturing lines and products models to be shared. The developed system embodies a virtual manufacturing line on the simulation using various manipulators and work cells as manufacturing components. we develop a virtual simulator system on Window 98/NT environment of Microsoft, operating system using of the greater part of PC user. Window program have a merit making GUI environment that programmer can use without the expert knowledge about hardware. A suer with the simulator can utilize an interface that makes one to manage the separate task process for each manufacturing module, change operator components and work cells, and easily teach tasks of each task module.

Laser interferometry is widely used as a measuring system in many fields because of its high resolution and ability to measure a broad area in real-time all at once. In conventional LASER interferometry, for example Out-of-plane ESPI(Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry), In plane ESPI, Shearography and Holography, it uses PZT or other components as a phase shift instrumentation to extract 3D deformation data, vibration mode and others. However, in most cases PZT has some disadvantages, which include nonlinear errors and limited time of use. In the present study, a new type of LASER interferometry using a laser diode is proposed. Using LASER Diode Sinusoidal Phase Modulating (LD-SPM) interferometry, the phase modulation can be directly modulated by controlling the LASER Diode injection current thereby eliminating the need for PZT and its components. This makes the interferometry more compact. This paper reports on a new approach to the LD Modulating interferometry that involves four-buckets phase shift method. This study proposes a four-bucket phase mapping algorithm, which was developed to have a guaranteed application, to stabilize the system in the field and to be a user-friendly GUI. In this paper, the theory for LD wavelength modulation and sinusoidal phase modulation of LD modulating interferometry is shown. Four-bucket phase mapping algorithm is then introduced.
In this paper, we design data transformation interface for the automation of PCB product. The data designed to CAD does not exchange itself for the assembly line, so we construct an automation system which is exchangeable. To do this, we analyze the information of PCB components and construct the Information of IC components as database. We also develope two kinds of algorithm; one is to detect human error and another is to exchange itself for the data which is suitable for PCB assembly line. We design data transformation interface to do addition and revision of the information for PCB assembly line. By automating existing manual processing, we are able to shorten access time and enhance reliability of the data and the efficient assembly line of PCB.

A novel empirical mode decomposition strategy based on Fourier transform and band-pass filter techniques, contributing to efficient instantaneous vibration analyses, is developed in this study. Two key improvements are proposed. The first is associated with the adoption of a band-pass filter technique for intrinsic mode function sifting. The primary characteristic of decomposed components is that their bandwidths do not overlap in the frequency domain. The second improvement concerns an attempt to design narrowband constraints as the essential requirements for intrinsic mode function to make it physically meaningful. Because all decomposed components are generated with respect to their intrinsic narrow bandwidth and strict sifting from high to low frequencies successively, they are orthogonal to each other and are thus suitable for an instantaneous frequency analysis. The direct Hilbert spectrum is employed to illustrate the instantaneous time-frequency-energy distribution. Commendable agreement between the illustrations of the proposed direct Hilbert spectrum and the traditional Fourier spectrum was observed. This method provides robust identifications of vibration modes embedded in vibration processes, deemed to be an efficient means to obtain valuable instantaneous information.
