If we are to analyze certain chromatic phenomena, we must first know what “color” is； we must identify its essential characteristics in an effort to achieve a more rational comprehension of visual phenomena in general. What is difficult for most observers to grasp is that seeing colors is no different than seeing shapes. Indeed, all aspects of the objects in the world surrounding us-shape, size, distance, movement, as well as color--are seen via our perceptual system. (omitted)

The strength of material is scattered owing to the inhomogenity of microstructure, in spite of the same material. Therefore, in order to design the mechanical structure with the reliability engineering, it is important to grasp the statistic nature of material strength. In this paper, effects of grain sizes for the statistical nature of the fatigue crack growth was discussed. And the statistical of mechanical properties was compared with statistical nature of the fatigue crack growth rate.

Ladder Diagram(LD) is the most widely utilized among many sorts of existing programs using for the design of process control system. But it is very difficult to grasp sequential flow of control logic. In this paper, we proposed the method that we can control a lot of blocks. We used PLC in process control system. And, in order to design we used Sequential Function Chart(SFC). In this paper, we proposed the method of block contro. and confirmed feasibility through a simulation.

In case to look at considering affects of skew angles into the curved bridges, this study mainly focalized to compare and analyze of the influence of skew angles to curved bridges along with analysis of the behavior of entire construction in accordance with changes of skew angles and curvature. With explanation of macroscophic behavior of curved bridges with skew angles through this study, it is mostly to grasp with characteristics and structural weaknesses of skew curved bridges compared with straight skew bridges.

An orifices fluid damper having the capacity of about 2 tons was designed and fabricated, and series of tests were performed to grasp the fundamental performance characteristics of it. Several important findings were observed and introduced in this paper. This fabricated orifices fluid damper will be applied to the structure under seismic load for the confirmation of its validity on structural vibration absorbtion as an extended study.

Like other vehicles, the suspension elements of railway rolling stock have influence on running stability and ride quality. Thus, faults detection for suspension elements is important to prevent an accidents of train and to ensure safety against derailment. This study was started to grasp the feasibility of diagnostic method for the suspension elements of bogie without disassembling. Through several tests by running test rig, we found that fault detection for suspension elements was possible. Here, we describe some results.
