This paper presents the design of a new turn-off gate drive circuit for GTO which can accomplish faster turn-off switching. The major disadvantage of the conventional turn-off gate drive technique is that it has a difficulty in realizing high negative diS1GQT/dt because of VS1RGM(maximum reverse gate voltage) and stray inductances of turn-off gate drive circuit[1~2]. The new trun-off gate drive technique can overcome this problem by adding another turn-off gate drive circuit to the conventional turn-off gate drive circuit. Simulation and experimental results of the new turn-off gate drive circuit in conjunction with chopper circuit verify a faster turn-off switching performance.

The development of eco-friendly low pressure carburizing system with high pressure gas quenching(LPC-GQ, 500kg/charge) led to new stage in the fundamental case-hardening treatments. This is due to its ability to provide tighter tolerances on the carburizing process with notable reductions in distortion of the carburized and hardened workpiece. This system is characteristics by high uniformity and reproducibility of heat treatment results, absence of an intergranular oxidation layer, carburizing of complex shapes, reduced cycle time, low operating costs, simplified production, eliminate post washing, and reduced grinding costs.

Objective : To present effects of depression, optimism and gratitude on suicidal ideation of patients with depressive disorders. Methods : Using analyses of covariance (ANCOVA), scores on the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), Life Orientation Test-Revised (LOT-R), and Gratitude Questionnaire (GQ-6) were compared between depressive disorder patients with higher and lower levels of suicidal ideations. A linear regression model was fitted to detect independent correlates for suicidal ideations. Results : Significantly greater level of depression and lower level of gratitude were characterized by depressive disorder patients with higher level of suicidal ideations. The fitted regression model presented that depression and gratitude were independent correlates for suicidal ideations in patients with depressive disorders. Conclusion : Our findings suggest that gratitude may be associated with lowering the level of suicidal ideation in patients with depression.

Acute ophthalmoparesis that includes the oculomotor, trochlear, or abducens nerve may occur as an initial presentation of Miller Fisher syndrome (MFS). The symptoms of MFS or variant forms of Guillain-Barre syndrome are pathogenically related to anti-GQ1b antibodies. We report a case of a 36-year-old man with unilateral isolated abducens nerve palsy associated with anti-GM1 antibody. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of unilateral isolated abducens nerve palsy with positivity for anti-GM1 immunoglobulin M antibody.

In this paper, we introduce the notion of Gorenstein quasiresolving subcategories (denoted by 𝒢𝒬𝓡_𝒳 (𝓐)) in term of quasi-resolving subcategory 𝒳. We define a resolution dimension relative to the Gorenstein quasi-resolving categories 𝒢𝒬𝓡_𝒳 (𝓐). In addition, we study the stability of 𝒢𝒬𝓡_𝒳 (𝓐) and apply the obtained properties to special subcategories and in particular to modules categories. Finally, we use the restricted flat dimension of right B-module M to characterize the finitistic dimension of the endomorphism algebra B of a 𝒢𝒬_𝒳-projective A-module M.

The purpose of this study was to determine the possibility of character education in the middle school home economics program: by extracting learning factors that can cultivate gratitude disposition from the eighth grade in the unit of 'clothing life' of middle school HE text, developing five teaching-learning lesson plans and learning materials, and applying them in classrooms to see any changes in gratitude disposition standards before and after its application. Five teaching-learning lesson plans for the cultivation of gratitude disposition were developed, and completed after three experts in home economics verified their validity and revised them. From June 1, 2010 to June 30, 2010, five classes were to 210 grade students at a Gyeongbuk Junior School, and dispositions were investigated before and after the classes. Gratitude disposition standards used GQ-6, like McCullough, and for before-and-after-inspection comparison, t-test and analysis of open-ended questionnaires were carried out. The results proved the instruction effective. Before the class for the cultivation of gratitude disposition, students had a gratitude disposition average of 2.87(out of 5). After the class, the average was 3.35, which shows that students had improved considerably. Also, in analysis of a open-ended questionnaire, it was said that the class had been provided the opportunity to think about the value of nature and neighbors and that the class content reminded them about appreciation. In conclusion, for the character education in other areas of middle school home economics, teaching-learning lesson plans development must be attained to further this character education program.

Objective: The purpose of the present study was to examine the hormonal regulation of RGS-2 in the rat ovary. Methods: Immature rats were injected with 10 IU of PMSG to induce multiple growth of preovulatory follicles and 10 IU of hCG to induce ovulation. Northern blot analysis performed for gene expression and in situ hybridization performed for mRNA localization. Results: Northern blot analysis revealed that pregnant mare's serum gonadotropin (PMSG) treatment did not affect RGS-2 mRNA levels. In contrast, human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) treatment of PMSG-primed rats resulted in an increase in RGS-2 expression within $1{\sim}3\;h$. The major cell-types expressing RGS-2 mRNA were oocytes regardless of follicle size. Interestingly, hCG treatment caused the stimulation of RGS-2 gene expression in granulosa cells of preovulatory and growing follicles. In contrast, cell types expressing RGS-2 protein were theca cells regardless of hCG treatment. Like in vivo, treatment of preovulatory granulosa cells with LH in vitro stimulated RGS-2 levels within 1 h. Interestingly, GnRH antagonist II enhanced the stimulatory action of LH. Conclusion: The present study demonstrates the LH/hCG induction of RGS-2 in preovulatory granulosa cells and suggests a role of RGS-2 in Gq protein signaling pathway during ovulation.

In this study, the importance of implied strength correction for shallow depths at a region of moderate to low seismicity with primary focus on its effect upon site natural period and mean period of the ground motion is investigated. In addition to the most commonly used Modified Kondner-Zelasko (MKZ) model, this paper uses a quadratic/hyperbolic (GQ/H) model that can capture the stress - strain response at large strains as well as small strain stiffness dependence. A total of six site profiles by downhole tests are used and 1D site response analyses are performed using three input motions with contrasting mean periods. The difference between non-corrected and corrected analyses is conditional on the site period as well as mean ground motion period. The effect of periods is analyzed by correlating them with the effective peak ground acceleration, maximum shear strains and amplification factors. The comparative study reveals that the difference is more prominent in soft sites with long site periods. Insignificant differences are observed when soil profiles are subjected to ground motion with very short mean period.

A flaccid tetraparesis in Bickerstaff's brainstem encephalitis (BBE) is presumed to be a sign of overlapping Guillain-Barr$\acute{e}$ syndrome (GBS). In addition, BBE and Fisher syndrome, which are clinically similar and are both associated with the presence of the immunoglobulin G anti-GQ1b antibody, represent a specific autoimmune disease with a wide spectrum of symptoms that include ophthalmoplegia and ataxia. A 2-year-old boy presented with rapidly progressive ophthalmoplegia, ataxia, hyporeflexia, weakness of the lower extremities, and, subsequently, disturbance of consciousness. He experienced bronchitis with watery diarrhea and had laboratory evidence of recent infection with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV). He was diagnosed as having overlapping GBS and BBE associated with EBV and received treatment with a combination of immunoglobulin and methylprednisolone, as well as acyclovir, and had recovered completely after 3 months. In addition, he has not experienced any relapse over the past year. We suggest that combinations of symptoms and signs of central lesions (disturbance of consciousness) and peripheral lesions (ophthalmoplegia, facial weakness, limb weakness, and areflexia) are supportive of a diagnosis of overlapping GBS and BBE and can be helpful in achieving an early diagnosis, as well as for the administration of appropriate treatments.

Male consumers, who had largely been overlooked in comparison to their female counterparts, are recently emerging as a major target of marketing. The five-day workweek system and shifts in the expectation of traditional sex roles have brought about this change. This study examined changes in consumption pattems of men and analyzed relevant trends and meanings. Advertisements were chosen as data for analyses in this study because they are the most fundamental tool to stimulate consumption and also because they are the media that convey the culture of the times in the most compressed form. One thousand four hundred and seven advertisements appeared in the 19 volumes of 'Gentlemen's Quarterly,' a men's magazine, that were published between March 2001 and October 2005. These advertisements were analyzed using both quantitative and qualitative methods. From the analyses of this study, six different kinds of trends were found. In each trend, important values sought after by men through consumption, and the meanings of consumption for male consumers were explained.
