A Machine-to-machine based Intelligent Walking Assistance System for Visually Impaired Person (시각장애인을 위한 M2M 기반의 지능형 보행보조시스템)

  • The white stick mainly used for visually impaired person has difficulty in providing location information and effective countermeasures for emergency situations encountered during walking as well as detecting floating obstacles on the ground. In this paper, we propose a machine-to-machine based intelligent walking assistance system for safe and convenient walking of the visually impaired. The proposed system consists of a walking assistance stick used by the visually impaired and a server supporting multiple stick users in remote places through mobile communication networks. The stick equipped with ultrasonic sensors, GPS(global positioning system) receiver and vibrator not only detects floating obstacles, but also offers stick users with present location identification utilizing a text-to-voice conversion technology. Besides providing geographic information, the server notifies the emergency locations of users to guardian and aid agency, and it provides log information during walking such as the place, time and the number of accidents. Test results with a developed prototype system have shown that the system properly performs the functions and satisfies overall system performance.

  • Cell-ID based positioning solution is cheaper and easier to implement than other wireless positioning solutions. However, its accuracy is relatively low. So we propose a novel approach to improve its accuracy. Our approach uses the probability that an MS will connect to each of BSs among several BSs to which an MS can access in a pico-cell network, and Cell-ID based positioning method is applied. The simulation result shows that performance of the proposed approach is improved compared to the other positioning solutions.

실시간 다중 기준국 GNSS/GPS 반송파 미지정수 결정 기술 연구

  • 1990년대 제안된 RTK(Real-Time Kinematics)는 GNSS/GPS 반송파 위상(carrier phase) 관측값을 이용한 방식으로 cm 수준의 정확도를 실시간으로 산출할 수 있어 측지 측량 등 다양한 분야에서 활용되고 있다. 그러나 한 가지 중요한 단점은 이 방식을 사용하는 기준국과 사용자는 10~20km 이내에 존재해야만 빠르고 신뢰할 수 있는 해를 산출할 수 있다는 점이다. 이는 궤도오차, 대류층 및 전리층 오차에 공간 상관성(spatially correlated) 있기 때문인데, 사용자 주변을 둘러싼 다중 기준국들의 측정치를 조합하여 보상하거나 모델링하여 줄이는 방식인 다중 기준국 네트워크 기반의 RTK 알고리즘이 제안되어 사용되고 있다. 다중 기준국 네트워크 기반의 RTK 프로세스에서 기준국간 미지정수 결정은 전 과정의 핵심 프로세스라고 할 수 있으며, 관련되어 많은 기술들이 제안되고 연구되어 왔다. 특히, 1980년대 말부터 현재까지 후처리 기반으로 꾸준하게 연구되고 있는 Blewitt에 의해 전리층 제거 조합과 Wide-lane 반송파 위상 조합을 활용한 미지정수 검색 방법이 대표적이며 이후에도 Gao, Colombo등 다양한 연구자에 의해 활용되었다. 이 연구에서는 실시간으로 다중 기준국 반송파 미지정수를 결정하는 기술에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. L1, L2 관측값 조합으로 인한 관측값의 잡음 수준이 증가하는 영향을 피하기 위해 L1, L2 반송파 위상 및 의사거리를 그대로 관측값으로 사용하여 사용자 위치 및 속도, 기준국간 이중 차분된 전리층 지연 수직성분, 대류층 wet 지연 수직 성분, 이중 차분된 미지정수를 미지의 상태변수로 확장 칼만필터를 통해 직접적으로 추정하는 방식으로 미지정수의 실수해를 결정하였고, 정수해는 실시간에 적합한 MLAMBDA 기법과 비율테스트를 통한 정수해 검정기법을 통해 결정하였다.

  • Enterprises requires the logistics information system to reduce logistics costs and ensure clearness of distribution. However, the system is adopted only by large corporations due to diversity of work and the initial cost for construction. In this study We have attempted to develop an information system capable of efficiently. Controlling and managing logistics by investigating division of duties and existing problem. Using small and medium-sized enterprises engaged in the distribution business as a model. For real-time monitoring of logistics information. We have constructed a system using new technologies such as GPS, mobile and wireless communications and made use of web GIS as infrastructure. Developed by the logistics information systems, We will control overall logistics work and reduce logistics costs and processing time as well.

  • Recently car navigation systems which are widely spreaded and provide routes exactly have been evolved. The systems use various information and techniques as follows. In order to provide shortest path with good flow, realtime traffic information provided by DMB is used. Augmented reality technique is also introduced to give the sense of real to driver by displaying real images captured by camera during driving. But these operate well when the GPS receives data normally. Exact information about the position of vehicles becomes a base that supports the above function with realities. This paper proposes a method for compensating a given path. It uses various information by integrated vehicle networks when the GPS does not operates normally.

Evaluation of Weighted Correlator for Multipath Mitigation in GPS Receiver (GPS수신기의 다중경로 오차 제거를 위한 가중 상관기의 성능평가)

  • The effect of multipath is especially serious in urban area and sea surface where buildings and water reflect GPS signal. Multipath brings about the performance degradation on many GPS application because the presence of multipath causes the diminution of pseudorange measurement accuracy in turn position accuracy. In this paper, a multipath mitigation named weighted correlation method is implemented on software GPS receiver, in which the asymmetric correlation function is compensated by modifying the late correlation value. Asymmetry compensation is obtained as weighted sum of two correlators which have different early-late chip spaces. This structure is adopted to lessen the computation load lower keeping up performance similar to that. The performance of implemented multipath mitigation technique is evaluated using GPS signal and multipath signal generated by GPS signal generator and software GPS receiver. The test results show that the weighted correlation method gives hefter performance than the standard correlator and the narrow correlator.

  • In this paper, we proposed and designed the protocol for energy efficiency and the center of data aiming at the design of a Multi Location Awareness System that recognizes a shadow site in parking and tunnel, which stands on the basis of CSS(Chirp Spread Spectrum) method using ISM Band of IEEE 802.15.4a that aware close location with wireless RF only. As a result of the protocol measurement, it displays the observation errors of less than 15cm, the data error rate of less than 5%, and can implement the Multi Location Awareness System with maximum length of life for 13.5 days using battery of 3V(1500 mAh).

  • Presently SmartPhone users over the 15 million are expected to exceed 20 million people by the end of the year. The prevalence of SmartPhone has brought positive results with a new paradigm. But, It makes a result that SmartPhone user should concentrate on mobile device and interpersonal relationships are avoided. In this paper, we design and implement user network services that use a same application using located information based on android.

  • 유역에서의 강우-유출해석모형과 예측모형의 정확성을 위해서 기상요소와 지형인자간의 상관성에 대해서 많은 연구가 진행되었으나 수자원의 효율적인 해석과 관리를 위한 물과 관련된 기관들은 단지 물 관련 정보를 DB로 구축한 수준에 머물러 있다. 급속한 정보화 시대로 인해 편의성을 추구하기 위한 서비스 요구가 증가되어 사용자들은 질적으로 우수한 정보뿐만 아니라 여러 가지 매체를 통해서 시간과 장소에 제한 없이 사용자들과 관련된 각종 정보를 원하고 있다. 그래서 수문학적으로 중요한 위치에 있는 지점과 상습적으로 홍수피해를 입고 있는 지역의 홍수예경보를 위해서 물 관련 정보를 신속히 활용, 해석 및 예측하는 시스템의 개발이 필요하다. 따라서 물리적인 공간상에서 3차원 GIS DB, GPS 또는 무선인터넷 기술 등의 전자기술(IT:컴퓨터, 통신, 방송)을 도입하여 인터넷이나 무선통신을 통해 물 관련 정보를 획득하고 홍수예경보 시스템의 효율적인 관리를 위한 기법을 개발하고자 한다. 이를 위해서 본 연구는 위치기반서비스(LBS : Location Based Service)의 기반기술과 응용사례 및 활용 가능성을 검토하여 홍수예경보 정보시스템을 제시하였다.

  • Recent advancements in the IT industry have made daily life more convenient than ever before. In particular, studies have focused on the position detection of individuals using the GPS in smartphones, and this application has been utilized actively in emergency rescue organizations. However, existing methods send the location information of a user to a predetermined guardian set by the user or to a control center when the user enters into or deviates from a predetermined space. Such spaces are created by an arbitrary radius, thereby making it difficult to set a detailed area by using an existing radius-area creation method in an unstructured space and path with a specific road, such as for trekking, amusement parks, or mountaineering. This study proposes a novel method for setting up an area by connecting multiple radii to improve the existing radius-area creation method in order to easily set a detailed area in smart devices or on the Internet. In addition, an optimization method for resource use is proposed by comparing the operation results in which a user's location is detected by using the proposed location-based area setup method and deviation detection.
