극궤도(MODIS) 및 정지궤도(GOES-9) 위성 관측을 이용한 한반도에서의 안개 탐지 (Fog Detection over the Korean Peninsula Derived from Satellite Observations of Polar-orbit (MODIS) and Geostationary (GOES-9))

  • 본 연구에서는 극궤도 위성 Aqua/Terra에 탑재된 MODIS 복사계와 정지궤도 위성 GOES-9의 2년간 관측 자료를 이용하여, 한반도 10개 공항 지역에 대한 안개 탐지 가시 경계값 및 적외 경계값을 각각 $0.65{\mu}m$에서의 반사율($R_{0.65}$) 그리고 $3.7{\mu}m$$11{\mu}m$ 밝기온도 간의 차이(T3.7-11)에서 계절별로 유도하였다. 이들 경계값이 두 종류 위성에서 서로 다르게 나타나는 원인을 조사하기 위하여, 수도권 지역에 대한 극궤도 및 정지궤도 위성들의 동시 관측 자료를 이용하여 주야간 청천과 안개 시에 다음 변수들을 비교분석하였다; $3.7{\mu}m$ 밝기온도($T_{3.7}$), $11{\mu}m$ 밝기온도($T_{11}$), 그리고 $T_{3.7-11}$. 주간 경우에는 $R_{0.65}$도 사용되었다. 위 변수들은 공간 분포에서 두 위성 간에 0.5 이상의 유의적인 상관을 보였다. 이 분석에서 두 위성 간에 경계값 차이는 $3.7{\mu}m$ 채널 파장대 불일치 뿐만 아니라 공간 분해능 불일치에도 기인하였다. 한편 GOES-9에서 유도된 안개 탐지 경계값은 청주 공항을 제외한 한반도 9개 공항의 안개 및 청천 시에 대한 통계적인 검증에서 주간에 약 60%, 그리고 야간에는 약 70%의 정확도를 보였다. 그러나 정확도는 여명, 안개층 위에 상층운 존재, 강수 동반, 그리고 짧은 지속 시간 하에서 발생하는 안개에 대하여 감소하였다. 안개 탐지에 사용되는 세 채널의 광학적인 특성을 조사하기 위하여, 파장에 따른 복사휘도 및 반사율의 민감도가 수치 실험을 통하여 여러기상 상태 하에서 분석되었다.

우리나라 해상물동량 추정 (Estimation of Port Traffic in Korea)

  • To acquire a port traffic, governments in North-East Asia have intensively invested port development. Furthermore, the major shipping company directly make a call at northern chinese ports like Qingdao, Dalian and Tianjin. Those changes of port environment will have a considerable effect on a port traffic in Korea. In order to prepare against those changes, it is necessary to estimate a port traffic in Korea A port traffic in Korea is estimated by the use of explanation variables like GDP of Korea, real effective exchange rate, world economic performances and the trade in China, et al. When GDP in Korea goes up 1%, it is estimated that container port traffic of all ports and Pusan Port is upward $1.0{\sim}1.2%$ and $0.8{\sim}0.9%$ respectively. When the trade in China goes up 1%, it is estimated that Container transshipment is upward $1.6{\sim}1.7%$ approximately.

  • These experiment was carried out to investigate the pulmonary lesions and the function of alveolar macrophages in rats exposed to cement dusts. 1. The number of total cells in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid(BAL) increased remarkably in 1st month. As time goes by, tend to less and less in numbers. 2. The number of neutrophil and lymphocytes obtaining from the total cell of BAL increased remarkably in first month, but as time goes by, they tended to grow less and less in number. Macrophages decreased gradually after being temporarily augmentation. 3. Histipathologically, the thickening of alveolar walls, alveolar interstitial, and infiltrated macrophages containing cement dusts.

고로슬래그 골재를 사용한 콘크리트 특성에 대한 실험적 연구 (The Experimental study on the property of concrete which used Blast furnace slag aggregate)

  • Several studies have reported that Granulated Blast-Furnace Slag improved the properties of concrete. The Granulated Blast-Furnace Slag could be a good alternative in the shortage of aggregate situation. Slag shows the possibility of influential aggregate and effect of environment preservation. This study presents that the basic properties of fresh concrete using Air-cooled Blast-furnace slag aggregate and Water-cooled Blast-furnace slag aggregate. Testing Factors of this study are concrete slump, slump loss, bleeding, and air contents. The result of this study is below. 1) In case of proportion slag and grave is 50 to 50, the biggest slump value is measured. 2) In the concrete using of air-cooled Blast-furnace slag aggregate, the bleeding capacity is a little. In the concrete using of Water-cooled Blast-furnace slag aggregate, the bleeding capacity goes up to 50% increase. 3) As substitution rate of the granulated blast-furnace slag goes up, air content is increased.

Automated Mismatch Detection based on Matching and Robust Estimation for Automated Image Navigation

  • Ground processing for geostationary weather satellite such as GOES, MTSAT includes the process called image navigation. Image navigation means the retrieval of satellite navigational parameters from images and requires landmark detection by matching satellite images against landmark chips. For an automated preprocessing, a matching must be performed automatically. However, if match results contain errors, the accuracy of image navigation deteriorates. To overcome this problem, we propose the use of a robust estimation technique, called Random Sample Consensus (RANSAC), to automatically detect mismatches. We tested GOES-9 satellite images with 30 landmark chips. Landmark chips were extracted from the world shoreline database. To them, matching was applied and mismatch results were detected automatically by RANSAC. Results showed that all mismatches were detected correctly by RANSAC with a threshold value of 2.5 pixels.

  • The prototype of the radiometric calibration algorithm, including the correction of scan mirror's angle, has been developed for the stationary meteorological sensor, firstly in Korea. We use this system on GOES-12 to evaluate two coefficients, slope and intercept. The evaluated coefficients show good agreement with the NESDIS's results for the five-case data. The calculated coefficients have been applied to the conversion from the measured counts to the radiance and the converting methods according to the scanning are investigated to enhance the radiometric accuracy.

  • This paper deals with the algorithm development that inspects defects such as Lens Focus, Black Defect, Dim Defect, Color Defect, White Balance, and Line Defect caused by the process of Compact Camera Module (CCM). These days the demand of CCM goes on increasing in various types like PDA, a cellular phone and PC camera every year. However, owing to the defect inspection of CCM by the semiskilled work the average inspection time of CCM takes about 40 to 50 seconds. As time goes by the efficiency takes a sudden turn for the worse because workers must inspect with seeing a monitor directly. In this paper, to solve these problems, we developed the imaging processing algorithm to inspect the defects in captured image of assembled CCM. The performances of the developed inspection system and its algorithm are tested on many samples. Experimental results reveal that the proposed system can focus the lens of CCM within 5s and we can recognize various types of defect of CCM modules with good accuracy and high speed.
