  • In this study, BIEM(Boundary Integral Equation Method) using Green's function is applied in order to analyze 3D electric field precisely. The algorithm is developed with equivalent electric surface charge as a variable, which promises less unknown variables and higher accuracy of electric field analysis. The validity of the developed program is varified by applying it to a coaxial cylinder mode and 3-phase GIS model.

  • PD pulses have about one nanosecond rise time in the $SF_6$ gas insulation. These pulses propagate in the apparatus to PD sensors in the form of the voltage oscillation, high frequency current and the electromagnetic radiation. In this paper, we investigated the characteristics of two types of PD sensors, by putting high frequency signals in the form of sine waves and pulse into the test apparatus in air. Also, we measured PD quantity from the needle electrode and the sensitivity of the sensors. We found that PD of 70pC could be detected with this method and the study in $SF_6$ gas should be carried out for application to $SF_6$ GIS.

  • It was studied Horticultural field by ARC/lNFO software, applicated on GIS- management information system, which dealt with graphic and attribute data together. This result obtained was summarized as follow : 1. It would be to output about position, attribute and photographic data of this horticultural farm through AML. 2. It would be easy to use with internal interface which is composed in basic function menu and application menu. 3. It would be good to plant Water melon and Tomato in this Horticultural farm. 4. The method which applicated overlay and analysis would be need to manage farming data in this horticultural farm and to develop a dynamic decision support system interfaced with GIS.

  • The purpose of this study is to reveal the spatial relationship between landslides and geospatial data set and to map the landslide susceptibility using this relationship, and the landslide occurrence data in Kangneung area in 2002. Landslide locations were identified from interpretation of satellite images. Landslide susceptibility was analyzed using an artificial neural network. The weights of each factor were determined by the back-propagation training method. Susceptibility maps were constructed from Geographic Information System (GIS), The cases were overlaid and cross overlaid for landslide susceptibility mapping in each study area in Kangneung.

  • The objective of this study is to discuss the future trend of the community bus. In doing so, we have selected Nagasaki City of Japan. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is used for selection of the routes. In the present study we are going to add new parameters and new selection method. As a result of the study, we have been able to identify some best possible and detailed routes for the community bus operation in Nagasaki City, which meets the requirement of the welfare community as well as general passengers.

CROSS- VALIDATION OF LANDSLIDE SUSCEPTIBILITY MAPPING IN KOREA

  • The aim of this study was to cross-validate a spatial probabilistic model of landslide likelihood ratios at Boun, Janghung and Yongin, in Korea, using a Geographic Information System (GIS). Landslide locations within the study areas were identified by interpreting aerial photographs, satellite images and field surveys. Maps of the topography, soil type, forest cover, lineaments and land cover were constructed from the spatial data sets. The 14 factors that influence landslide occurrence were extracted from the database and the likelihood ratio of each factor was computed. 'Landslide susceptibility maps were drawn for these three areas using likelihood ratios derived not only from the data for that area but also using the likelihood ratios calculated from each of the other two areas (nine maps in all) as a cross-check of the validity of the method For validation and cross-validation, the results of the analyses were compared, in each study area, with actual landslide locations. The validation and cross-validation of the results showed satisfactory agreement between the susceptibility map and the existing landslide locations.

  • This study was to propose the spatial analysis method of extracting the spectral characteristic of cultural grounds of lavers in marine especially ApHae-myeon, ShinAn-gun, JellaNam-do, through using various satellite images. In addition, the information of cultural grounds of laver such as the existence of illegal cultural grounds of laver distribution was extracted through using satellite images and GIS analysis methods. For the further work, the spatial analysis to extract not only cultural grounds of laver business but also artificial facilities in marine will be proposed.

Estimation Method of Wind Resource Potential in South Korea (남한 풍력자원 잠재량 산정방법)

  • The wind resource potentials of South Korea are estimated as preliminary stage using the national wind map which has been being established by numerical wind simulation and GIS (Geographical Information System) exclusion analysis. The wind resource potentials are classifying into theoretical, geographical, technical and implementation potentials and the calculation results are verified by comparing to other countries' potentials. In GIS exclusion, urban, road, water body, national parks and steep slope area are excluded from onshore geographical potential while water depth and offshore distance from the shoreline are applied s offshore exclusion conditions. To estimate implementation potential, dissemination records of European countries are adopted which is about 1/8 of geographical potential.

  • The systematic data management system in the area of river flow analysis has not yet constructed, even though the need is evident due to the complicated process of tremendous input/output data in the modeling study and the importance of visualization of spatial flow variation. The objectives of this study are to suggest the method for constructing the NGIS-based river database based on contour, river, elevation, boundary layers and river cross sections and to provide the algorithm for interpolating equi-distance river cross section points. The selected study area is the main Han River starting from Paldang dam site to Indogyo bridge. The constructed database will be useful for the scientific water flow management system in the study area.

  • 최근 모바일 장비 및 시스템의 발달로 위치정보와 이동 객체에 관련된 많은 서비스들이 연구되고 있다. 궤적은 이동 객체가 시간에 따라 변하는 위치정보들의 모음이다. 기존의 데이터베이스 시스템에서는 이동 객체 데이터 타입을 지원하지 않는다. 이 논문에서는 공간 데이터베이스로 많이 활용되고 있는 PostgreSQL/PostGIS 상에서 궤적 데이터의 연산 및 질의 처리가 가능한 확장형 모듈로써 PostTrajectory를 제안하고 있다. 또한, 궤적 데이터에 대한 다양한 질의 요구 조건들을 충족시킬 수 있는 함수들을 구현하여 궤적 데이터의 효율적인 질의 처리를 가능하게 하였다.
