Analysis of Non-Point Pollutants Outflow Pattern in Jinhae-Masan Basin (진해-마산만 유역에서 비점오염물의 유출양상 분석)

  • The difficulties to build a 3-dimensional water quality model for the coastal water quality improvement and the environmental recovery estimation are the lack of periodic observed data and the many problems to observe continuously. I observed the rainfall and non-point pollutants outflow patterns in Jinhae-Masan basin as mid-step researches for the water quality simulation and management method development in a coastal area. I applied Landsat image system and Geographic Information System to analyze the runoff and non-point pollutants outflow patterns. A water quality simulation model (SWMM) applied to Jinhae-Masan basin with results of the land use distribution, non-point pollution loads, and watershed informations from GIS(IDRISI used). I proposed some improved survey and GIS application methods reflect upon the pollutant characteristics from the observed non-point pollutant outflow patterns.

  • 3차원 공간정보는 u-Korea, 전자정부, 유비쿼터스, LBS등의 기반 인프라 및 3차원 그래픽 처리기술, 가상현실 기술 등의 종합적으로 적용되는 고부가가치 통합 기술로 필요성이 부각되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터 그래픽스 분야에서 많이 적용되고 있는 공개 그래픽 라이브러리인 OpenGL(Open Graphics Library) 기반의 3D-GIS 가시화 어플리케이션 아키텍쳐를 중심으로 렌더링 기법을 분석하고자 한다. 한편 본 연구의 실험은 Visual Studio.NET환경에서 3D-GIS 모델 Prototype을 구현하여 수행하였으며 향후 실시간 모바일 3D-GIS 렌더링을 위한 기반 기술로 적용될 수 있는 OpcnGL-ES의 확장 가능성을 검토하고자 하였다.

Distributed Rainfall-Runoff Modeling Using GIS (GIS를 이용한 분산형 강우-유형 모형의 개발)

  • This study is conducted to eveluate the potential of a GIS to assist an application problem. GIS has been applied to rainfall-runoff modeling over Soyang area. Various rainfall-runoff models have been developed over the years. A distributed rainfall-runoff model is selected because it considers the topographic characteristics over the basin. GIS can handle the spatial data to enhance the modeling. GRASS-a public domain GIS S/W-is used for GIS tools. Digital database is generated, including soil map, vegetation map, digital elevation model, basin and subbasin map, and water stream. The inpu data for the model has been generated and manupulated using GIS. The database, model and GIS are integrated for on-line operation. The inflow hydrographs are tested for the flood of Sept., 1990. This shows the promising results even without the calibration.

  • 데이터 스트림을 처리하기 위한 연속집계질의 수행 시 중복연산 및 메모리의 절약을 위하여 큐를 공유하는 자원공유기법이 연구되었다. 기존의 자원공유 기법들은 질의의 프리디킷이 일치할 때만 처리하기 때문에, 질의의 프리디킷이 차이가 나는 경우가 많은 다중공간 집계질의가 자주 요청되는 u-GIS 환경에서 효율적으로 중복영역을 처리할 수 있는 자원공유 기법이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 공간영역을 효율적으로 그룹화하는 R-tree 의 특징을 이용하여 질의간의 중복영역을 그룹화하고 중복영역의 자원을 패인(Pane)구조를 이용하여 공유한다. 노드 수에 제한이 없고 레벨을 1로 하는 R-tree 로 유사한 위치의 질의들을 그룹화 한 후, 그 질의들의 영역이 겹쳐지는 부분을 패인을 이용해 집계 값을 공유하여 중복계산을 피하는 방법이다. 제안 기법은 공간 집계질의를 처리할 수 있고, 기존의 계층구조의 자원공유 기법을 사용할 때에 비해 자원을 적게 사용하고 질의 처리 시간을 단축시켰다. 성능평가를 통하여 제안기법이 메모리 사용량을 감소시키는 것을 보였으며, 질의 처리 속도가 증가하였다.

Generation of Interpolated Precipitation Data using ArcGIS Model Builder in Not Covered Area of Climate Change Scenario (ArcGIS Model Builder를 이용한 기후변화시나리오 강수누락지역의 보간강수량 생성)

  • 이 연구에서는 ESRI사의 ArcGIS 프로그램을 이용하여, 한반도 남한지역 중 기후변화시나리오에 의한 강수량이 제공되지 않는 해안선지역에 대해 기후변화시나리오를 이용하여 장래 강수량을 생성할 수 있는 모형을 개발하였다. 기상청에서 제공하는 기후변화 시나리오에 의한 장래강수데이터의 경우 복잡한 해안선지역에 대해 장래 강수데이터를 제공하고 있지 않기 때문에 최근의 지형도를 적용하여 기상청에서 제공하지 않는 지역에 대해 보완격자를 생성하고, 공간보간 기법을 이용하여 이를 해결할 수 있다. 1km 격자단위의 강수데이터를 생성하기 위하여 GIS내에 여러 툴(tools)의 기능을 단계적으로 모형화하여 순서화된 작업을 자동적으로 수행할 수 있는 model builder를 사용하였다. 데이터 변환작업을 위한 전처리, 데이터 보간 추출 기능과 공간보간기법을 적용하여 기후변화 시나리오가 적용된 데이터누락지역에서의 장래 강수예측데이터를 생성할 수 있도록 하였다. 기상청에서 제공하는 RCP 8.5 시나리오를 이용하였고, 일부 해안선과 섬 지역에 대해 장래강수량을 생성할 수 있는 보간기법이 적용된 모형으로 한반도 남한지역 중 강수자료가 제공되지 않는 총 4,186개의 격자에 대해 적합한 공간보간기법을 선택하여, 일단위 및 월단위 강수자료를 생산할 수 있도록 하였다. 기상청에서 제공하는 강수데이터의 경우 'ASCII' 파일 형식으로 기후변화 데이터를 제공하기 때문에 사용자가 별도의 프로그램을 이용하여 강수예측자료를 얻어야 하는 문제가 있다. 강수예측자료를 텍스트파일 형태로 사용자가 원하는 좌표를 선택 한 후 데이터를 추출할 수 있도록 격자화하여 저장되도록 하였다.

Development and Application of a Methodology to Build Geotechnical Information System Based on Geo-Knowledge Using GIS Technology (GIS를 이용한 지반-지식 기반 지반 정보화 시스템 구축 기법의 개발 및 적용)

  • For the reliable prediction of spatial geotechnical data, a procedure to build the Geotechnical Information System (GTIS) based on geo-knowledge within the frame of GIS technology was developed by introducing a couple of new concepts of the extended area containing the study area and the additional site visit for acquiring surface geological data. To build the GTIS for Gyeongju as the case study of regional model application, intensive site investigations and pre-existing geotechnical data collections were performed and additional site visit was also carried out for acquiring surface geo-layer data in accordance with the developed procedure. Within the GTIS based on geo-knowledge for Gyeongiu area, the spatially distributed geo-layers across the extended area were predicted using the geostatistical kriging method and those for the study area were extracted. Furthermore, the spatial distribution maps for the thickess of geo-layers and the depth to bedrock were constructed for the practical use in geotechnical field. It was evaluated that the GTIS based on geo-knowledge developed in this study is superior to the conventional geotechnical GIS in terms of both the standard deviation and the geological expert judgment.

  • This paper provides a method to implement IT system for supply chain management problem The fundamental scheduling issues that arise in the pickup delivery system are optimizing the system with the minimum cost, the maximum throughput and the service level. This study is concerned with the development of the customer responsive pickup-delivery system based on e-logistics and demand chain management. Through this study, the pickup-delivery problem of the vehicle using the GIS PDP and GUI- type computer programs are formulated. The computational results show that the proposed method is very effective on a set of test problems.

Analyzing Characteristic of Business District in Urban Area Using GIS Methods - Focused on Large-Scale Store and Traditional Market - (GIS 기법을 활용한 도시지역 상권 특성 분석 - 대형할인점과 전통시장을 중심으로 -)

  • The study used GIS methods to analyze a business district consisting of traditional markets and large-scale stores, to determine the level of support needed for small enterprises in an urban area of Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do. Data gathered on the area was analyzed using GIS tools such as Kernel density, Network analysis, and Huff modeling. Traditional markets are concentrated in areas where large-scale stores are located, and data analyses show that the number of consumer'use of large-scale stores (157,071) was three times that of traditional markets (59,953). One explanation for these results is that the large-scale stores are located either in densely populated areas or are adjacent to the traditional markets. Therefore, standards and regulations are needed to support small enterprise business districts. In the future, the results of this study can be used as a reference for planning and supporting traditional market business districts.

  • Recently, with the increasing interest in facility management based on indoor spatial information, various studies have been attempted to manage facility conversion between BIM and GIS. Visualization of the geometry data for a large-scale is one of the major issues to the maintenance system. Therefore, this study designed the spatial indexing algorithm through an IFC schema-based scenario for the effective visualization of BIM data based on GIS. A part of the algorithm was developed implementing the OcTree structure and this research has a test for the developed output with IFC sample data. Ultimately, we propose the spatial indexing method for the effective visualization of BIM data based on GIS.

GIS- Based Predictive Model for Measure of Environmental Pollutant (GIS를 이용한 환경오염의 예측 모델)

  • Colored dissolved organic matter(CDOM) is an important component of ocean color that can be used as an invaluable tool in water quality and ocean color studies. With the largest source of coastal CDOM appearing to be from freshwater discharge into the ocean, coastal predictive models will do much to refine our knowledge about major processes that control CDOM distributions in coastal waters and provide a better insight into the global carbon cycle. This study aims at developing a GIS-based watershed-scale predictive model of CDOM distributions in Neponset river watersheds that can be used to appraise our understanding of CDOM sources and distributions in coastal waters and predict the response of CDOM concentration to changes in land use patterns. Weighting factors are developed for CDOM freshwater sources after extensive groundtruthing from various landuse types in the watershed. This model makes use of a publicly available DEM(Digital elevation model) as the base data for analysis. Stream networks, discharge, and land use data are used from public repositories while sub- watershed delineation, pour-points, and land use parcels are generated using Spatial Analysis of ArcGIS 9.2 to estimate the CDOM loading from various sources to the lower tributaries of rivers. The Neponset Watershed in eastern Massachusetts is selected as the site for development of the model.
