Because the complexity in the development phase of geographic information system, its hard to change its operation or user interface after the development. So we should develop most part of the applied GIS even though previous GIS is almost exist. In other words, reusing the previous system is not easy. Therefore, its required to research reusable GIS for easy construction of applied GIS. This thesis describes design and implementation of web GIS framework which makes applied web GIS development more easy. Framework is software library composed of reusable units such like classes and objects. Proposed web GIS framework Provides basic web GIS functionalities and execution design to web GIS developers. They could extend the framework to build applied web GIS with applied operation and user interface. The development of applied web GIS could be archived by various tools used for general web application development.

Currently, the components of the GIS have been physically run on a stand-alone system. With rapid advances in internet technology, GIS users require that they are able to not only access they heterogeneous and remote GIS database as well as their own information, but also share them. However, these GIS have the defects that can not handle formats different from own data format. Therefore, in this paper, we propose to integrate the components of the heterogeneous and remote GIS using CORBA in order to solve these problems, which is a distributed object technology, the mediator and wrapper technology in client and server layers.

Most distributed models have been developed for data interchange between model for hydrological analysis and GIS(Geographic Information System). And some interface systems between them have been developed to operate the model conveniently. This study is about developing integrated system between model and GIS not coupled system based on file interchange or interface system. In this study, HyGIS-GRM which is integrated system between GRM(Grid based Rainfall-runoff Model) which is physically based distributed rainfall-runoff model and HyGIS(Hydro Geographic Information System) have been developed. HyGIS-GRM can carry out all the processes from preparing input data to appling them to model in the same system, and this operation environment can improve the efficiency of running the model and analyzing modeling results. HyGIS-GRM can provide objective modeling environment through establishing the process of integrated operation of GIS and distributed model, and we can obtain fundamental technologies for developing integrated system between GIS and water resources model.

지리정보시스템(GIS) 분야에서 3차원 가시화에 대한 요구는 점점 높아져가고 있다. 3차원으로 표현되는 GIS 정보는 현재 제공되고 있는 2차원 GIS 데이터 정보 표현의 한계를 극복할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 더 높은 가독성과 함께 표현할 수 있는 정보의 양과 형식이 다양하여 GIS의 효용가치를 더욱 증대시킬 수 있다. 따라서 공간자료(Spatial Data)의 오차한계를 극복하고, 정밀한 3차원 데이터를 효율성 있게 구축하여 유지 및 관리할 수 있는 3차원 지리정보시스템(3D GIS)의 다양한 모델들이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구는 부산광역시 해운대구 전역을 대상으로 3차원 수치지도를 제작하고 이를 기반으로 국내 최초의 도시 3차원 지리정보시스템(3D GIS) 구축을 목적으로 진행되며 클라이언트/서버 환경의 지리정보시스템 구조를 기반으로 하여 3차원 지리정보시스템(3D GIS)을 설계하고 구현한다.

지리 정보 시스템의 사용 범위가 확대되면서 다른 지리 정보 시스템에서 사용하는 유용한 공간 데이터에 대한 공유의 필요성이 높아졌다. 그러나. 기존의 지리 정보 시스템들은 서로 다른 형태의 공간 데이터 모델과 인터페이스를 사용하기 때문에 데이터의 공유가 어려운 문제가 있다. 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위해 표준 공간 데이터 모델과 인터페이스를 정의한 OpenGIS 표준 명세가 제안되어 널리 사용되고 있으며 앞으로도 그 활용이 확대될 것으로 예상된다. 본 논문에서는 오디세우스 객체관계형 DBMS를 기반으로 한 OpenGIS 시스템인 오디세우스/OpenGIS를 설계하고 구현한다. 오디세우스/OpenGIS는 다음과 같은 특징을 갖는다. 첫째, OpenGIS 표준 명세 중 SQL 표준 명세를 지원하여 SQL 환경의 지리 정보 시스템 응용 프로그램들이 오디세우스 객체 관계형 DBMS를 사용할 수 있도록 한다. 둘째, OpenGIS 표준 명세 중 OLE/COM 표준 명세를 지원하여 OLE/CON 환경의 지리 정보 시스템 응용 프로그램들이 오디세우스 객체 관계형 DBMS를 사용할 수 있도록 한다. 셋째, OpenGIS 표준 명세에서 정의한 지리 정보 시스템의 기능과 DBMS를 밀결합하여 시스템의 안정성을 높인다.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the implications that GIS(Geographic Information Systems) can have in public library collection selection and service development from a marketing perspective. GIS is a computer system capable of assembling, storing, manipulating, and displaying geographically referenced information. Through the understanding and utilization of GIS, we can collect geographical, transportation, political, legal, demographic, economic, social, cultural, educational, and recreational information of the community. Public libraries can utilize GIS for market research, including customer analysis to select library collection and develop library service based on library users' needs. As a result, public libraries can find a way to make a lasting relationship with users which is the final goal of marketing activities.

As the digitization of maps in Korea has been completed in 1998, local governments begin to apply digital maps for their administrative convenience. In applying GIS to local administration, there are some important aspects to be considered such as technical aspect, organizational aspect and data managerial aspect. Using surveys to local governments, the study examines the implementation factors such as leadership, GIS organizational settings, human and financial resources, and education programs which are related to the applications of GIS to local governments in Korea. As a conclusion, the study proposes that organizational and human factors be combined harmoniously with technical factors from the beginning stage of GIS installation for the successful implementation of GIS applications to local governments.

지리 정보와 속성 정보를 바탕으로 사용자에게 다양한 분석 기능을 제공하는 지리정보시스템은 많은 기능적인 향상과 사용자 인터페이스에서의 편리성을 제공하고 있다. 그러나, 초기의 지리정보 시스템 소프트웨어들은 패키지 형태로 제공되어 구축비용 및 다양한 사용자 요구 사항을 충족시키기에 많은 어려움을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는, OGC(Open GIS Consortium)의 개방형 지리정보시스템 서비스 아키텍쳐에 기반을 둔 지리정보시스템 서비스 컴포넌트의 설계 및 구현에 대하여 서술한다. 각 서비스 컴포넌트는 단위 기능을 컴포넌트 형태로 제공함으로써 구축비용 및 다양한 사양한 요구사항을 효율적으로 충족시킬 수 있다. 개발된 서비스 컴포넌트는 객체 지향형 모델링 툴인 UML(Unified Modeling Language)로 설계되었고, ATL/COM 과 C++ 환경에서 구축되었다. 이는 재사용성 뿐만 아니라 상호 운용성, 언어 독립성, 쉬운 개발환경 등을 제공한다.

전통적으로 지리정보시스템은 지형데이터와 속성데이터가 결합된 정적인 공간정보를 처리한다. 기존 지리정보시스템을 발전시켜, 시간에 따라 위치 및 기하데이터가 변화는 동적인 시공간데이터에 연구가 한동안 진행되어 왔다. 최근 들어 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에 대한 관심이 집중되면서, 센싱 데이터와 같이 속성데이터가 동적으로 계속 변화는 데이터가 급증하고 있고, 센서노드의 위치가 고정 또는 이동함에 따라 공간정보와 결합하여 관리될 필요성이 급증하고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 USN기술와 GIS기술을 융합하여 GeoSensor 정보를 효과적으로 관리할 수 있는 u-GIS 융합데이터 처리 시스템을 제안하고자 한다.

공간정보와 멀티미디어가 긴밀히 결합된 새로운 형태의 지리정보 환경이 미디어 지리정보시스템(MediaGIS)이다. 비디오 지리정보시스템(VideoGIS)은 미디어 지리정보시스템의 한 예로서 공간정보와 비디오와의 결합과 상호작용에 중점을 두고 있다. 본 논문에서 제시한 지오 비디오(GeoVideo)는 비디오를 기반으로 공간정보의 조회, 검색, 분석 등이 가능한 최초의 비디오 지리정보시스템이다. 지오 비디오는 기존의 인위적이고 함축적이고 그래픽적인 패러다임에서 자연적이고 사실적이고 이미지적인 패러다임으로의 변화의 의미를 지닌다. 본 논문에서는 비디오와 공간정보의 결합에 대해 자세히 논의하고 시스템 구성 방법에 있어서의 고려사항 등에 관해서 논의하기로 한다.
