Zhu Shi Jie's Suan Xue Qi Meng (算學啓蒙) is one of the most important books which had a great influence to the development of Chosun Mathematics and Gyung SunJing's Muk Sa Jib San Bub is the oldest Chosun mathematics book. In this paper, comparing Suan Xue Qi Meng (算學啓蒙) with Muk Sa Jib San Bub, we study the mathematics educational constructions and structures in books and then conclude that their structure can be used in present school mathematics.

A red grafted cactus of Gymnocalycium mihanovichii 'Red King' was bred by the Cactus Research Institute, Gyeonggi-do ARES. in 2007. A crossing between 'Redjewelry' and 'GG024824' in 2005 was obtained 135 seedlings. 'Red King' was finally selected through the test of specific growth and coloring characteristics in 2007. The color of body and tubercles is red. The shape of glove is flat round with 8~9 ribs. Spine is short length and light brown color. Growth is fast as 6 month after planting to reach 36.8 mm in diameter. Propagation ability is good as to set as many as 14.1 tubercles.

Recently performing arts pursue a new rootage of the collective intelligence that seeks experimental thinking and diversity in creative convergence. Understanding in this way the concept of artist's horizontal creation structure and individual communication of the public, this study tries to analyze ${\ll}God's\;Eye\;View{\gg}$, an example of convergent performing art. The result of analysis is as follows. The convergence in performing art could be approached through experiential thinking and diachronic of artists by genre, and the interpretation and its value of the result of work be shared horizontally. ${\ll}God's\;Eye\;View{\gg}$ express a dynamic communication and meaning of poetic image, and shows the experimental creation of convergence and the individual communication ability of collective intelligence as a new value of convergence.

MicroRNA-27a (miR-27a) is deemed to be an oncogene that plays an important role in development of various cancers, and single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) of miR-27a can influence the maturation or aberrant expression of hsa-miR27a, resulting in increased risk of cancer and poor prognosis for non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). This study aimed to assess the effects of rs895819 within miR-27a on susceptibility and prognosis of NSCLC patients in 560 clinical confirmed cases and 568 healthy check-up individuals. Adjusted odds/hazard ratios (ORs/HRs) and 95% confidential intervals (CIs) were calculated to evaluate the association between rs895819 and the risk and prognosis of NSCLC. The results showed that allele A and genotype GG of rs895819 were significantly associated with an increased risk of NSCLC (38.9% vs 30.8%, adjusted OR=1.26, 95%CI=1.23-1.29 for allele G vs A; 18.1% vs 11.7%, adjusted OR=1.67, 95%CI=1.59-1.75 for genotype GG vs AA). Moreover, positive associations were also observed in dominant and recessive models (53.7% vs 49.9%, adjusted OR=1.17, 95%CI=1.13-1.20 for GG/AG vs AA; 18.1% vs 11.7%, adjusted=1.65, 95%CI=1.58-1.73). However, no significant association was found between rs895819 and the prognosis of NSCLC in genotype, dominant and recessive models. These results suggested that miR-27a might be involved in NSCLC carcinogenesis, but not in progression of NSCLC. The allele G, genotype GG and allele G carrier (GG/AG vs AA) of rs895819 might be genetic susceptible factors for NSCLC. Further multi-central, large sample size and well-designed prospective studies as well as functional studies are warranted to verify our findings.

Background: The aim of this study was to evaluate any association between a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) in the patatin-like phospholipase domain containing 3 (PNPLA3) (rs738409, C>G) and the development and prognosis in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Materials and Methods: Two hundred heathy controls and 388 HCC cases were included: 211 with HBV, 98 patients with HCV, 29 with alcoholic steatohepatitis (ASH) and 52 with non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). The SNP was determined by real-time PCR based on TaqMan assays. Results: The prevalence of rs738409 genotypes CC, CG and GG in controls was 91 (45.5%), 88 (44.0%), and 21 (10.5%), respectively, while the corresponding genotypes in all patients with HCC was 158 (40.7%), 178 (45.9%), and 52 (13.4%). The GG genotype had significantly higher distribution in patients with ASH/NASH-related HCC compared with controls (OR=2.34, 95% CI=1.16-4.71, P=0.018), and viral-related HCC cases (OR=2.15, 95% CI=1.13-4.08, P=0.020). However, the frequency of the GG genotype was similar between controls and patients with viral-related HCC. At initial diagnosis, HBV-related HCC were larger and at more advanced BCLC stage than the other HCC groups. There were no significant differences between the GG and non-GG groups regarding clinical characteristics, tumor stage and overall survival. Conclusions: These data suggest an influence of the PNPLA3 polymorphism on the occurrence of HCC in patients with ASH/NASH but not among those with chronic viral hepatitis. However, the polymorphism was not associated with the prognosis of HCC.

The effects of guar gum (GG) and xanthan gum (XG) at different concentrations (0, 0.2, 0.4, and 0.6% w/w) on the rheological properties of Korean waxy rice starch (WRS) pastes were evaluated under both steady and dynamic shear conditions. The flow properties of WRS-gum mixtures were determined from the rheological parameters of the power law model. The addition of GG and XG to WRS resulted in an increase in the apparent viscosity ($\eta_{a,100}$) and consistency index (K) values obtained from power law model. The flow behavior index (n) values of the WRS-XG mixtures decreased with an increase in gum concentration while there was only a marginal difference between n values for the WRS-GG mixtures. Dynamic moduli (G', G", and $\eta^*$) values in the WRS-gum mixture systems also increased with an increase in gum concentration. WRS-XG mixtures had higher dynamic moduli and lower tan $\delta$ (ratio of G"/G') values than WRS-GG mixtures, indicating that the higher dynamic rheological properties of WRS-XG can be attributed to an increase in the viscoelasticity of the continuous phase in the starch-gum mixture systems, which was due to the higher viscoleastic properties of XG compared to GG. The dynamic ($\eta^*$) and steady shear ($\eta_a$) viscosities of the WRS-XG paste at a 0.2% gum concentration followed the Cox-Merz superposition rule.

Introduction: Although a number of studies were published in the past several years on associations between hsa-mir-27a and cancer risk, the findings remain conflicting rather than conclusive. To derive a more precise effect on the association between SNP hsa-mir-27a rs895819 and breast cancer risk, we conducted a meta-analysis for the first time. Materials and Methods: Through retrieval from PubMed for the period up to August 2012, a total of four studies were identified with 3,287 cases and 4,298 controls for SNP hsa-mir-27a rs895819. We calculated summary odds ratio (ORs) and corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CIs) using a fixed effects model (when the heterogeneity was absent, P>0.10). Otherwise, the random-effects model was used. Results: We found that hsa-mir-27a rs895819 polymorphism also did not reveal any relationship with breast cancer susceptibility (AG versus AA: OR = 0.98; 95%CI, 0.73-1.32; GG versus AA: OR = 0.86; 95% CI, 0.72-1.03; AG/GG versus AA: OR = 0.92; 95% CI, 0.74-1.14), while significantly decreased risk was found among Europeans in AG versus AA and AG/GG versus AA models tested (AG versus AA: OR = 0.83; 95%CI, 0.72-0.97; GG versus AA: OR = 0.86; 95% CI, 0.71-1.05; AG/GG versus AA: OR = 0.84; 95% CI, 0.75-0.94). Conclusion: These findings suggest that hsa-mir-27a rs895819 polymorphism may play an important role in breast cancer development.

The source of prescription of Jihwangeumja to treat the mental confusion due to phlegm caused by kidney 'deficiency and Yin and Yang deficiency is found in 'Hwangjesomunseonmyeongronbang $\ll$黃帝素問宣明論方$\gg$'. The source of prescription of Jihwangeum is found in 'Seongjechongnok $\ll$聖濟總錄$\gg$'. Therefore, it seems reasonable to change the prescription to 'Jihwangeum' from 'Jihwangeumja' and to change the source of prescription to 'Seongjechongnok $\ll$聖濟總錄$\gg$' from 'Hwangjesomunseonmyeongronbang $\ll$黃帝素問宣明論方$\gg$'. In addition, 'Jihwangeum' is influenced by 'Naebosan' in 'Cheongeumbang $\ll$千金方$\gg$'. Jihwangeumja gave the substantial influence on the treatment of 'Endogenous wind due to hyperactivity' of Yeopcheonsa. Jihwangeumja supplements the true Yuan, smooths the circulation of the flow inside a body and coordinates the interaction between heart and kidney so that it ultimately eliminates sputum and activates circulation inside a body. If the guideline of diagnosis is accurate, many kinds of diseases can be effectively treated through the principle of treating different disease with the same therapy. In addition, it will be also effectively used for headache after cerebral hemorrhage, trigeminal neuralgia(sore tongue), diabetes insipidus, nervous breakdown, hyperthyroidism, chronic glomerulonephritis, infertility and anemia.

$Sun{\sim}Si{\sim}Miao$(孫思邈) is known to everybody as a great medical doctor. He has written two famus books. Those are the $Qian{\sim}Jin{\sim}Yao{\sim}Fang$(${\ll}$千金要方${\gg}$) and the $Qian{\sim}Jin{\sim}Yi{\sim}Fang$(${\ll}$千金翼方${\gg}$). He said that woman's disease differ from man's disease, we must care of woman carefully. And he has written seven parts of the books on gynecology. He has introduced reason of woman' disease and method of medical treatment variously. Also he has introduced a method of making cosmetics and beauty treatment. So We summarized pediatrics theory in two books and decomposed reason of disease and method of medical treatment. Also I compared with $Xiao{\sim}Pin{\sim}Fang$(${\ll}$小品方${\gg}$) In conclusion, I have known that $Sun{\sim}Si{\sim}Miao's$ gynecology is consist of useful and various substance.

Objectives : In this thesis we researched Qikooujiudaomai(氣口九道脈) which is one of pulse diagnosis method recorded in Maijing(脈經). Methods : We studied relativity of Shierjingmai(十二經脈) & Qijingbamai(奇經八脈), and different assignment of Shierjingmai(十二經脈) & Anzhenfa(按診f法) of Qikoumai(氣口脈), Liubuding-weimaizhenfa(六部定位脈診法) and Qikoujiudaomai(氣口九道脈), Shierjingmai(十二經脈) for the principle of Qijingbamai(奇經八脈) pulse diagnosis method, Qikooujiudaomai(氣口九道脈). Results : 1. Qikoujiudaomai(氣口九道脈) applied Qikoumai(氣口脈), Sambujiuhoujin(三部九候診) of $\ll$Nanjing Shiebanan(難經 券十八難)$\gg$. 2. Interpreting the diagnostic sense of 'Nei(內) Wai(外)' word in Qikoujiudaomai (氣口九道脈) recored in $\ll$Maijing(脈經) Juanshi(卷十) Shoujiantu(手檢圖)$\gg$ as Fuan(浮按) Chenan(沈按)corresponds with Qikoumai(氣口脈), Sanbujiuhouzhen(三部九候診) which accepeted Sanbujiuhouzhen(三部九候診) of $\ll$Su Wen(素間) San Bu Jiu Hou Lun(三部九候論)$\gg$. 3. The pulse shape of Qikoujiudaomai(氣口九道脈) does not appear independently unless the disease at Qijingbamai(奇經八脈) exist. and when one disease take sick, the pulse shape apears as Qishi(氣質).
