인간의 인지적 감각을 이용한 휴대용 미끄럼 측정기의 성능평가 (Evaluation of Portable Slipmeter using Human Perception)

  • The objectives of this study were to evaluate the safe criteria of portable slipmeter using human perception onto the several different floor surfaces under contaminated conditions. It was difficult to find why many different slipmeters took there's own safe criteria. It is still unclear how thres hold values established in many literatures. Two different subjective slippery evaluating methods, AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) and Friedman test,were used to evaluate the perception of slipperiness of seven different floor surfaces under the contaminated condition with detergent solution. Twelve subjects worn same footwear and walked with self-selected step and cadence along the test floors. The SCOF(Static Coefficient of Friction) obtained for same test conditions with BOT-3000 was compared to perception of slipperiness to establish as a safe criteria. The very high significant correlation(r=0.97) was found between AHP and Friedman test. Also, The high significant correlation(r=0.96) was found between AHP and SCOF obtained with BOT-3000. The results suggested that the SCOF should be greater than 0.63 for safer walking. Perception rating obtained with AHP showed a high correlation with Friedman test and the SCOF obtained with BOT-3000 except for polished tile floor. The safe criteria obtained through this study were similar to ANSI/NFSIB101.1.

1990~2013년 기사로 분석한 럭셔리 주얼리 브랜드의 국내 이벤트 유형 및 역할 (The types and roles of domestic events by luxury jewelry brands analyzed based on articles during the period of 1990~2013)

  • Global luxury jewelry brands had begun to launch their direct businesses in Korea since the 1990s, and have attained fast growth by holding events reflecting their philosophies. The purpose of this study was to analyze the background of their growth by examining the types and roles of events in Korea held by luxury jewelry brands. For the research method, the quantitative and qualitative analysis were performed about domestic events of Tiffany & Co., Cartier, Bvlgari, Chaumet, and Van Cleef & Arples during the period from 1990 to 2013. Also, theoretical study was reviewed. The results are as follows. The events are largely classified into jewelry exhibitions, jewelry shows, wedding fairs, and hybrids. The roles of such events were, first, the artification of products and, second, the contemporization of traditions. According to the findings of this study, luxury jewelry brands transmitted new emotions and values to their customers through their events in Korea, and extended their influence continuously over the Korean high-end jewelry market.

The Roles of Organizational Learning Capability and Firm Innovation in the Relationship between Entrepreneurial Orientation and Firm Performance

  • This research aims to examine the relationships among entrepreneurial orientation, organizational learning capability, firm innovation, and firm performance. To achieve a data collection, a mail survey procedure via questionnaire was implemented by using executives or managers of gems & jewelry industries, textile and clothing industries, leather and accessories, fashion apparel industries in Thailand as the key informants. Of the surveys completed and returned, 388 were usable. Hence, a model with a structural equation was used to evaluate the data survey of 388 respondents. The results reveal that, in terms of the mediating effect, organizational learning capacity and firm innovation can complement each other in order to improve entrepreneurial orientation. Findings show that entrepreneurial orientation improves firm innovation, which in turn improves firm efficiency. Firm innovation acts as a variable mediating between enterprise orientation and firm performance. Our findings contribute to the current emergence of organizational learning capacity that mediated the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and firm performance. Entrepreneurial orientation is normally a firm performance that enterprises develop which can have use the information available and make an impact. It can be considered through the mediation of organizational learning capability, and firm innovation variable and as stated in previous literature, it can influence firm performance.

해양사고조사를 위한 인적 오류 분석사례 (A Case Study of Marine Accident Investigation and Analysis with Focus on Human Error)

  • Nationally and internationally reported statistics on marine accidents show that 80% or more of all marine accidents are caused fully or in part by human error. According to the statistics of marine accident causes from Korean Maritime Safety Tribunal(KMST), operating errors are implicated in 78.7% of all marine accidents that occurred from 2002 to 2006. In the case of the collision accidents, about 95% of all collision accidents are caused by operating errors, and those human error related collision accidents are mostly caused by failure of maintaining proper lookout and breach of the regulations for preventing collision. One way of reducing the probability of occurrence of the human error related marine accidents effectively is by investigating and understanding the role of the human elements in accident causation. In this paper, causal factors/root causes classification systems for marine accident investigation were reviewed and some typical human error analysis methods used in shipping industry were described in detail. This paper also proposed a human error analysis method that contains a cognitive process model, a human error analysis technique(Maritime HFACS) and a marine accident causal chains, and then its application to the actual marine accident was provided as a case study in order to demonstrate the framework of the method.

광복~1960년대 국내 귀금속보석 산업사 연구 (A Study of the History of Domestic Precious Metal and Gems Market from Liberation to 1960s)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the evolution of precious metal and gem stores, and to derive the characteristics of this period from the government, industry, and consumers. Correspondingly, the contents of daily newspaper articles during this period were analyzed using Naver's news library search engine. The historical development process is as follows. Before the Korean War, precious metal jewelers operated in Jongno, Namdaemun, and Chungmuro, dealing with gold, silver, and platinum. Large stores not only sold jewelry and watches, but also functioned as craftsmen and watch repairers. After the war, a shopping district for precious metals and jewelry was formed around Midopa Department Store. By 1963, the number of jewelry stores in Seoul increased to about 130 and to about 280 by 1966. The characteristics of the government, industry, and consumers are as follows. The government continued to implement a policy to regulate the precious metal and jewelry industry. Despite challenges, the industry exhibited the potential for foreign currency acquisition and growth through domestic amethyst. Consumers could access information regarding precious metal jewelry in daily newspapers. In the late 1960s, various types of jewelry were distributed in line with an increase in income levels.

ALMA/ACA CO (1-0) observations of group galaxies

  • Galaxy groups are the place where many galaxies feel the impact of the surroundings (e.g., merging, tidal interaction, ram pressure stripping) before joining bigger structures like (sub)clusters. A significant fraction of galaxies is quenched in the group environment. Such "pre-processing" of galaxies in groups is likely to affect galaxy evolution tremendously. To better understand how environmental processes in galaxy groups affect molecular gas, star formation activity, and galaxy evolution, we carried out CO imaging observations of group galaxies, using the Atacama Compact Array (ALMA/ACA). We selected all the targets that have been detected in the GEMS-HI survey for two groups, making the sample of 40 galaxies (18 galaxies in IC 1459 group and 22 galaxies in NGC 4636 group). Our ALMA/ACA observation is the first CO imaging survey for two groups. In this work, we present CO images of group galaxies, together with their star formation maps and HI images. Our ACA CO data show the asymmetric distribution of molecular gas in some of our samples. We discuss the impact of the group environment on molecular gas and star formation activity.

미얀마 북서부 보피붐 크롬광화대의 지질구조와 광화작용 (Geological Structure and Mineralization in the Vophi Bum Cr Mineralized Zone, NW Myanmar)

  • 미얀마 북서부 깔레이 시 근처에 보피붐 크롬 광화대가 발달하고 있다. 이 지역에는 크롬광체를 포함하는 백악기의 초염기성암이 서쪽의 제3기 퇴적층을 드러스트 하고 있다. 크롬광체는 초염기성암인 듀나이트와 하즈버자이트 내에 발달하며, 주로 듀나이트 암체 내에 배태되어져 있다. 듀나이트와 크롬광체의 분포방향은 북서-남동 방향이며, 이 지역의 일반적인 지구조 방향인 남-북 방향과는 사교하는 특성을 보이고 있다. 광체의 연장과 발달특성을 파악하기 위해 5개소에서 트렌치조사를 실시하였다. 트렌치에서 관찰되는 크롬광체와 주변의 듀나이트, 하즈버자이트는 심한 연성변형을 보인다. 광체는 m 규모 내외의 폭과 수 m 규모 내외의 연장성을 보이며, 시그모이드나 렌즈상으로 부딘화되어져 있다. 연성변형의 특징은 상부가 동에서 서로 이동한 전단감각을 보이고 있어, 지역 규모의 드러스트 존재와 부합하고 있다. 광체가 북서-남동 방향의 배열을 보이는 것은 남-북 방향을 따른 우향의 주향이동에 의한 S자 모양의 전단구조에 의한 것, 서가형전단에 따른 지괴의 회전에 기인한 것, 또는 이들이 복합적으로 중첩된 결과로 해석된다.

  • This study focused on the accessory of clothes of minority groups in Yunnan province to further the research about specific accessories' development in the future. Among the minorities in Yunnan, this study centralized characteristics of ornaments, hats and belts among five minority groups such as the Bai, Zhuang, Hani, Dai, and the Zang as representatives to study in detail because these five ethnicities have a relatively long history and plentiful information. The results are as follows: First, exaggeration means large gorgeous patterns that attract attention. Generally, there are many natural resources that can be used in places where these minority groups live such as gems, gold, silver shells and animals' horns, bone, teeth and the like. Headdress includes combs, loops, hairpins and other similar articles. Second, nature is a very fundamental part that people rely on for existence and development. The production and living that people need in life all depend on nature. The design of accessories is made from animal forms and patterns of clothes are presented through embroidery and wax printing. Designers always tried to add natural elements to their works. Third, symbolism consists of two aspects: One is the people's imagination, which related to actual materials, and the other is the product of imagination that provides better conditions to inspire people when they design. In China, most minority groups believe in Buddhism. The symbols in the clothing show their devout faith. Even the method of wear has many special implications like the use of accessories and length of clothing. The pattern of dragons and use of golden, red and other colors all have a proper symbolic significance in modern designs.

이상적인 인체미 구현을 위한 복식 디자인의 착시효과 - 고대 이집트 시대부터 낭만주의 시대까지 - (Optical illusions in Clothing Form Designs for the Ideal Beauty of Human bodies - from the Ancient Egypt to the Romantic Period -)

  • The purpose 7f this study is to investigate the change of the ideal beauty of human bodies and the related clothing form designs from the ancient Egypt to the Romantic Period in the aspect of optical illusions effects to achieve the ideal beauty so that we can accumulate the knowledges for the modern clothing form design and the related optical illusion effects. The scope of this study is limited to the female body forms and female dress forms. The analysis on the optical illusions in the dress forms of the various period relied on the literatures and some representative photographs and figures. The important results are as follows : 1. In the body Priority type designs of Egypt, Greece and Rome, the natural Beauty of human bodies was represented by H type silhouett, the smooth and transparent drapery materials were used with radiant line pleats resulting in slant optical illusions. 2. In the clothing priority type designs of Byzantine, Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo and Romantic Period, manteau, cotehardie, hennin and poulain were used to emphasize long arms and legs, high waists, belly curves and large heads resulting in optical illusions of vertical emphasize. Also long train, farthingale and panier were used to emphasize body expansion resulting in the optical illusions of Titchener alld Lipps. Large and complex patterns showed the optical illusions of Aubert. 3. In the clothing priority/body concealment type of Byzantine period, thick materials with precious gems and voluminous silhouettes were used to emphasize body expansion resulting in optical illusions of materials.

주얼리의 시장분석을 통한 Semiprecious Stone 제품 개발 연구 -가넷, 시트린 애머트린, 패리도트를 중심으로- (Analysis of Semiprecious Stone Products Development Based on Jewelry Market)

  • 최근 소비자의 의식 변화와 함께 빠른 정보 전달을 통해 개개인의 다양한 가치관을 공유하면서 과거 기업이 주도하던 트렌드에서 이제는 소비자의 Needs에 의해 트렌드가 변화하고 있다. 국내 주얼리 산업에서도 또한 주얼리가 패션 소비재로 변화하면서 소비자가 요구하는 다양한 칼라와 시각적 감성이 적용된 제품 개발이 필요한 시점이다. 이에 주얼리 산업에서는 천연 유색 보석에 대한 많은 관심과 그 소비시장이 확대되어지고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 Semiprecious Stone을 이용한 제품 개발의 필요성과 현황분석, 소비자 선호도 분석을 진행하고, 제품 개발을 위해서 소비자동향 조사 및 이미지 분석 조사를 통해 소비자의 스타일과 Needs에 의한 표적시장을 추출하였다. 그리고 연령별 디자인 선호 이미지 적용 형용사를 추출하여 제품 개발의 방향성을 설정하였다. 본 연구를 통해 현 주얼리의 시장분석을 통한 Semiprecious Stone 제품 개발의 필요성과 가능성을 찾아 볼 수 있었다.
