In this paper, a nanobeam connected to a rotating molecular hub is considered. The vibration behavior of rotating functionally graded nanobeam based on Eringen's nonlocal theory and Euler-Bernoulli beam model is investigated. Furthermore, axial preload and porosity effect is studied. It is supposed that the material attributes of the functionally graded porous nanobeam, varies continuously in the thickness direction according to the power law model considering the even distribution of porosities. Porosity at the nanoscopic length scale can affect on the rotating functionally graded nanobeams dynamics. The equations of motion and the associated boundary conditions are derived through the Hamilton's principle and generalized differential quadrature method (GDQM) is utilized to solve the equations. In this paper, the influences of some parameters such as functionally graded power (FG-index), porosity parameter, axial preload, nonlocal parameter and angular velocity on natural frequencies of rotating nanobeams with pure ceramic, pure metal and functionally graded materials are examined and some comparisons about the influence of various parameters on the natural frequencies corresponding to the simply-simply, simplyclamped, clamped-clamped boundary conditions are carried out.
In the present work, by considering the agglomeration effect of single-walled carbon nanotubes, free vibration characteristics of functionally graded (FG) nanocomposite sandwich plates resting on Pasternak foundation are presented. The volume fractions of randomly oriented agglomerated single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) are assumed to be graded in the thickness direction. To determine the effect of CNT agglomeration on the elastic properties of CNT-reinforced composites, a two-parameter micromechanical model of agglomeration is employed. In this research work, an equivalent continuum model based on the Eshelby-Mori-Tanaka approach is employed to estimate the effective constitutive law of the elastic isotropic medium (matrix) with oriented straight CNTs. The 2-D generalized differential quadrature method (GDQM) as an efficient and accurate numerical tool is used to discretize the equations of motion and to implement the various boundary conditions. The proposed rectangular plates have two opposite edges simply supported, while all possible combinations of free, simply supported and clamped boundary conditions are applied to the other two edges. The benefit of using the considered power-law distribution is to illustrate and present useful results arising from symmetric and asymmetric profiles. The effects of two-parameter elastic foundation modulus, geometrical and material parameters together with the boundary conditions on the frequency parameters of the laminated FG nanocomposite plates are investigated. It is shown that the natural frequencies of structure are seriously affected by the influence of CNTs agglomeration. This study serves as a benchmark for assessing the validity of numerical methods or two-dimensional theories used to analysis of laminated plates.
This paper addresses temperature-dependent nonlinear vibration and instability of embedded functionally graded (FG) pipes conveying viscous fluid-nanoparticle mixture. The surrounding elastic medium is modeled by temperature-dependent orthotropic Pasternak medium. Reddy third-order shear deformation theory (RSDT) of cylindrical shells are developed using the strain-displacement relations of Donnell theory. The well known Navier-Stokes equation is used for obtaining the applied force of fluid to pipe. Based on energy method and Hamilton's principal, the governing equations are derived. Generalized differential quadrature method (GDQM) is applied for obtaining the frequency and critical fluid velocity of system. The effects of different parameters such as mode numbers, nonlinearity, fluid velocity, volume percent of nanoparticle in fluid, gradient index, elastic medium, boundary condition and temperature gradient are discussed. Numerical results indicate that with increasing the stiffness of elastic medium and decreasing volume percent of nanoparticle in fluid, the frequency and critical fluid velocity increase. The presented results indicate that the material in-homogeneity has a significant influence on the vibration and instability behaviors of the FG pipes and should therefore be considered in its optimum design. In addition, fluid velocity leads to divergence and flutter instabilities.
The branch of electronics that uses an organic solar cell or conductive organic polymers in order to yield electricity from sunlight is called photovoltaic. Regarding this crucial issue, an artificial intelligence-based predictor is presented to investigate the vibrational behavior of the organic solar cell. In addition, the generalized differential quadrature method (GDQM) is utilized to extract the results. The validation examination is done to confirm the credibility of the results. Then, the deep neural network with fully connected layers (DNN-FCL) is trained by means of Adam optimization on the dataset whose members are the vibration response of the design-points. By determining the optimum values for the biases along with weights of DNN-FCL, one can predict the vibrational characteristics of any organic solar cell by knowing the properties defined as the inputs of the mentioned DNN. To assess the ability of the proposed artificial intelligence-based model in prediction of the vibrational response of the organic solar cell, the authors monitored the mean squared error in different steps of the training the DNN-FCL and they observed that the convergency of the results is excellent.
The possibility of energy harvesting as well as controlled vibration of a three-layered beam consisting of two piezoelectric layer and one core layer made of nonpiezoelectric material is investigated using paradox-free local/nonlocal theory. The three-layered nanobeam is resting on an elastic foundation and subjected to a blast load. Also, the core layer is made of Nano-composites reinforced by CNTs and carbon fibers (MHCD). Governing equations as well as boundary conditions are obtained using Hamilton,s principle. The equations discretized by Generalized Differential Quadrature Method (GDQM) and solved by Newmark beta method. In addition, two differential and integral gains are employed for controlling the forced vibration. The size-dependency of the elastic foundation is considered using two-phase elasticity. The effect of elastic foundation, control gains, nonlocal factor, as well as parameters affecting the core material on the forced vibration and energy harvesting is investigated in detail. The equations as well as solution procedure is validated utilizing some compassion studies. This work can be a basis for future studies on energy harvesting and controlled vibration in small scales.
This work treats the axisymmetric buckling of functionally graded (FG) porous annular/circular nanoplates based on modified couple stress theory (MCST). The nanoplate is located at the elastic medium which is simulated by Kerr foundation with two spring and one shear layer. The material properties of the porous FG nanostructure are assumed to vary through the nanoplate thickness based on power-law rule. Based on two variables refined plate theory, the governing equations are derived by utilizing Hamilton's principle. Applying generalized differential quadrature method (GDQM), the buckling load of the annular/circular nanoplates is obtained for different boundary conditions. The influences of different involved parameters such as boundary conditions, Kerr medium, material length scale parameter, geometrical parameters of the nanoplate, FG power index and porosity are demonstrated on the nonlinear buckling load of the annular/circular nanoplates. The results indicate that with increasing the porosity of the nanoplate, the nonlinear buckling load is decreased. In addition, with increasing the material length scale parameter to thickness ratio, the effect of spring constant of Kerr foundation on the buckling load becomes more prominent. The present results are compared with those available in the literature to validate the accuracy and reliability. A good agreement is observed between the two sets of the results.

In this study, nonlocal nonlinear buckling analysis of embedded polymeric temperature-dependent microplates resting on an elastic matrix as orthotropic temperature-dependent elastomeric medium is investigated. The microplate is reinforced by single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) in which the equivalent material properties nanocomposite are estimated based on the rule of mixture. For the carbon-nanotube reinforced composite (CNTRC) plate, both cases of uniform distribution (UD) and functionally graded (FG) distribution patterns of SWCNT reinforcements are considered. The small size effects of microplate are considered based on Eringen's nonlocal theory. Based on orthotropic Mindlin plate theory along with von K$\acute{a}$rm$\acute{a}$n geometric nonlinearity and Hamilton's principle, the governing equations are derived. Generalized differential quadrature method (GDQM) is applied for obtaining the buckling load of system. The effects of different parameters such as nonlocal parameters, volume fractions of SWCNTs, distribution type of SWCNTs in polymer, elastomeric medium, aspect ratio, boundary condition, orientation of foundation orthtotropy direction and temperature are considered on the nonlinear buckling of the microplate. Results indicate that CNT distribution close to top and bottom are more efficient than those distributed nearby the mid-plane for increasing the buckling load.

Present research is aimed to investigate the free vibration behavior of functionally graded (FG) nanocomposite conical panel reinforced by graphene platelets (GPLs) on the elastic foundation. Winkler-Pasternak elastic foundation surrounds the mentioned shell. For each ply, graphaene platelets are randomly oriented and uniformly dispersed in an isotropic matrix. It is assumed that the Volume fraction of GPLs reainforcement could be different from layer to layer according to a functionally graded pattern. The effective elastic modulus of the conical panel is estimated according to the modified Halpin-Tsai rule in this manuscript. Cone is modeled based on the first order shear deformation theory (FSDT). Hamilton's principle and generalized differential quadrature (GDQ) approach are also used to derive and discrete the equations of motion. Some evaluations are provided to compare the natural frequencies between current study and some experimental and theoretical investigations. After validation of the accuracy of the present formulation and method, natural frequencies and the corresponding mode shapes of FG-GPLRC conical panel are developed for different parameters such as boundary conditions, GPLs volume fraction, types of functionally graded and elastic foundation coefficients.
This is the first research on the smart control and vibration analysis of a Graphene nanoplatelets (GPLs) Reinforced Composite (GPLRC) porous cylindrical shell covered with piezoelectric layers as sensor and actuator (PLSA) in the framework of numerical based Generalized Differential Quadrature Method (GDQM). The stresses and strains are obtained using the First-order Shear Deformable Theory (FSDT). Rule of the mixture is employed to obtain varying mass density and Poisson's ratio, while the module of elasticity is computed by modified Halpin-Tsai model. The external voltage is applied to sensor layer and a Proportional-Derivative (PD) controller is used for sensor output control. Governing equations and boundary conditions of the GPLRC cylindrical shell are obtained by implementing Hamilton's principle. The results show that PD controller, length to radius ratio (L/R), applied voltage, porosity and weight fraction of GPL have significant influence on the frequency characteristics of a porous GPLRC cylindrical shell. Another important consequence is that at the lower value of the applied voltage, the influence of the smart controller on the frequency of the micro composite shell is much more significant in comparison with the higher ones.
The research presented in this paper deals with dynamic stability analysis of the graphene nanoplatelets (GPLs) reinforced composite spinning disk. The presented small-scaled structure is simulated as a disk covered by viscoelastic substrate which is two-parametric. The centrifugal and Coriolis impacts due to the spinning are taken into account. The stresses and strains would be obtained using the first-order-shear-deformable-theory (FSDT). For Poisson ratio, as well as various amounts of mass densities, the mixture rule is employed, while a modified Halpin-Tsai model is inserted for achieving the elasticity module. The structure's boundary conditions (BCs) are obtained employing GPLs reinforced composite (GPLRC) spinning disk's governing equations applying principle of Hamilton which is based on minimum energy and ultimately have been solved employing numerical approach called generalized-differential quadrature-method (GDQM). Spinning disk's dynamic properties with different boundary conditions (BCs) are explained due to the curves drawn by Matlab software. Also, the simply-supported boundary conditions is applied to edges 𝜃=𝜋/2, and 𝜃=3𝜋/2, while, cantilever, respectively, is analyzed in R=Ri, and R0. The final results reveal that the GPLs' weight fraction, viscoelastic substrate, various GPLs' pattern, and rotational velocity have a dramatic influence on the amplitude, and vibration behavior of a GPLRC rotating cantilevered disk. As an applicable result in related industries, the spinning velocity impact on the frequency is more effective in the higher radius ratio's amounts.
