Background: We defined melanoma distribution in a large series of Turkish patients and evaluated the prognostic parameters of melanomas. Materials and Methods: A total of 1574 patients' data was retrospectively collected at 18 centers in Turkey. Demographic characteristics were questioned and noted. Prognostic parametres were evaluated based on sentinel lymph node involvement. Results: Mean age was 56.7 (4-99) years. While 844 (53.6%) cases were male, 730 (46.4%) cases were female. One thousand four hundred forty-seven (92%) cases were invasive melanoma and 127 (8%) cases were in-situ melanoma. The most common histopathological form was the superficial spreading melanoma (SSM) which was found in 549 patients (37.9%). It was followed by nodular melanoma in 379 (26.2%), acral lentiginous melanoma (ALM) in 191 (13.2%) and lentigo maligna melanoma in 132 (9.1%), respectively. On univariate analysis, lymphovascular invasion (p<0.001), tumor thickness (p<0.001), histopathological subtype (p<0.001), Clark level (p=0.001), ulceration (p<0.001), ${\geq}6/mm^2$ mitosis (p=0.005), satellite formation (p=0.001) and gender (p=0.03) were found to be associated with sentinel lymph node positivity. Regression was associated with sentinel lymph node negativity (p=0.017). According to multivariate analysis, lymphovascular invasion and tumor thickness were significant independent predictive factors of SLN positivity. Patient age, tumor localization, precursor lesions, lymphocytic infiltration and neurotropism were not related with sentinel lymph node involvement. Conclusions: In this retrospective analysis, it was found that the prevalence of SSM is at a lower rate while the prevalence of ALM is at a higher rate when compared to western countries. According to Breslow index; most of the melanoma lesions' thickness were greater than 2 mm, corresponding Clark IV. Vascular invasion and tumor thickness are the most important factors for sentinel lymph node involvement.

생체 조직 내에서 표지인자의 발견은 해당 세포의 특성과 기능을 이해하는 데 매우 중요하다. 기존에 밝혀진 돼지 정원세포의 표지인자로는 PGP9.5, PLZF, NANOG, SSEA1 등의 단백질이 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 최근 새로이 발굴된 돼지 정원세포 표지인자인 IGFBPs 의 기능을 분석하기 위해 IGFBPs 의 발현과 이를 조절하는 단백질인 PAPP-A 단백질의 발현을 5일령 돼지 정소에서 확인하였다. IGFBP 2, 3, 4, 6 의 발현이 돼지 정원세포 특이적으로 높게 나타났으며 PAPP-A의 발현은 세르톨리세포 특이적으로 나타났다. PAPP-A 의 발현을 PGP9.5, GATA4 등의 표지 인자와 함께 확인해 본 결과 PGP9.5를 발현하는 정원세포에서는 발현하지 않았으며, 세정관 내의 세르톨리세포 특이적으로 발현하였다. 이러한 사실로 미루어 볼 때 세르톨리세포에서 발현하는 PAPP-A 단백질은 정원세포에서 발현하는 IGFBPs 의 조절을 통하여 알려진 바와 같이 IGF axis 를 통해 정소내 세포들의 발달 및 분화를 조절할 것으로 판단된다.

참외의 저온기 무가온 시설재배에서 원적외선 흡수율이나 무적성 등의 물리적 특성을 향상시킨 필름 피복이 참외 과실품질에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 과실 성분을 조사하였다. 일반 PE필름과 기능성이 추가된 5가지의 필름을 5동의 하우스에 피복하여 성주지역 2곳에 각각 설치한 후 재배하였다. 하우스 내부 온도는 높은 적외선 흡수를 보였던 필름인 J-1과 J-2에서 K-3에 비해 약 $2{\sim}5^{\circ}C$정도 높았다. 과실의 ${\beta}-carotene$ 함량과 당함량은 기능성 필름과 일반필름에서 유의성 있는 차이를 보여 J-1, J-2, J-3 및 K-1에서 높게 나타났는데 이것은 필름의 특성에 따른 보온효과 때문인 것으로 생각된다. 성숙 후 단맛을 좌우하는 sucrose 함량도 기능성 필름에서 높았는데 이로 인해 당도도 향상되는 결과를 보였다. Ascorbic acid 함량은 투광량과 보온성이 낮은 K-2에서 더 높은 경향을 보였고 무기원소 함량은 처리간에 차이가 없었다. 이상의 결과는 참외의 저온기 단동 하우스재배에서 보온성과 투광성을 향상시킨 필름을 피복함으로써 참외 과실의 품질을 일부 개선할 수 있음을 시사하였다.

Wished to examine closely effect that SoPungDoJeokTang-KaMi (SPDJTK) medicines used to atopy dermatitis disease patient get in atopy eruption control experimentally. SPDJTK medicines controlled $CD4^+/IFN-\gamma$, and $CD4^+/CD25^+/foxp3^+$ revelation that an experiment that motive allergy immune reponse because an in vitro experiment stimulates T cells of a NC/Nga mouse same time by anti-CD40/rmIL-4, and interleukin-$1{\beta}$, IL-6, TNF-$\alpha$, and TGF-$\beta$ mRNA outturn that bear in T and B cells decreased remarkably by SPDJTK medicines. Intracellular staining of splenocytes anti-CD40/rmIL-4 plus rmIL-4 stimulated as described in a, assessed after 24 h, SPDJTK exerts a mainly immunosuppressive effect that acts at least partially through suppression of the transcription factor GATA3 expression in $CD4^+$ T cells. Atopic dermatitis (AD) usually develops in patients with an individual or family history of allergic diseases, and is characterized by chronic relapsing inflammation seen specially in childhood, association with IgE hyperproduction and precipitation by environmental factors. However, the exact etiology of AD has been unclear. To further explore the pathogenesis and treatment of AD, a suitable animal model is required. We found that skin lesions, which were clinically and histologically very similar to human AD, mite antigen-induced dermatitis on the face, neck, ears and dorsal skin of inbred NC/Nga mice. Result that Th1 cell and Th2 cell observe to be shifted by cytokine expression with $CD4^+/CD25^+/foxp3^+$ Treg cells induction by SPDJTK medicines could know that SPDJTK medicines can use usefully in allergy autoimmnune diease.

Seokgatap and Dabotap are representing the tower patterns in "Gyeonbotappum" of the Lotus Sutra. It is very peculiar, for the description on "Gyeonbotappum" is usually made in terms of 'the two Buddhas sitting side by side'. If 'the two Buddhas sitting side by side' is describing the situation in Dabotap, the double structure of Seokgatap and Dabotap can be said to symbolize the scriptural description in a different viewpoint. Its correct comprehension is pretty important in understanding Bulguksa. For this, this paper first arranged the critical minds and flows about the faith objects in Indian Buddhism. And, it was considered how these aspects were accumulated through Saddharma-pundarika sutra. Secondly, it was considered why "Gyeonbotappum" took the typical symbolism in Saddharma-pundarika sutra(Lotus Sutra). These parts should be necessarily considered in advance in that Seokgatap and Dabotap were derived from the form of "Gyeonbotappum". Based on this approach, the author checked the actual aspects of Seokgatap that the tower was built on a natural rock ground and the stones surrounding the tower are constituting the 8-directional Lotus site. With these two aspects, we could get the clue on the foundation time of Bulguksa that its founder had intended. In that Dabotap was formed on the basis of "Gyeonbotappum", the features of Dabotap is very important in comprehending its foundation viewpoint. As a result, the viewpoint of double towers in Bulguksa can be said to be the one that the world of suffering was to change to the Pure Land after Sakyamuni preached the Lotus Sutra on the top of Mt. Grdhrakuta and Prabhutaratna-tathagata proved it. This foundation viewpoint shows us clearly that 'the Lotus Buddhist Country' existed in parallel to the Avatamska Buddhist Country. It secures an appropriate meaning in that it can complement or adjust our understanding on the 'Buddhist country (Bulguk)' of Bulguksa where the Avatamska Idea is emphasized relatively highly as shown in the whole title of Bulguksa as 'Avatamska Bulguksa.'
