건축물내 일산화탄소 경보기 설치기준에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Standard for Installation of Carbon Monoxide Detector in a Building)

  • 최근 5년간 국내 가스사고 중 CO중독사고는 사망 36명, 부상 79명이 발생하였으며, 전체 가스 사고에 비해 인명피해율이 8배나 높게 나타나고 있다. 이러한 CO중독사고의 대부분이 노후 가스보일러 및 다중 가스 사용시설의 배기통 불량에 의한 가스누출사고로 조사되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 실험을 통해 건축물 내 보일러실의 배기통 불량에 의한 CO가스의 누출확산 메커니즘을 해석하였다. 배기통에서 누출된 CO 가스는 건축물 내부의 천정부근에서 가장 높은 농도분포를 보인다. 또한 CO경보기 설치 실험을 통해서 천정부근의 CO경보기가 가장먼저 작동하고, $30{\sim}40$분 경과한 후에 바닥 및 중간에 설치된 경보기가 작동하는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구를 통해 CO경보기의 적정 설치위치를 확인하였으며, 이 결과를 토대로 건출물내 CO경보기 설치위치를 제안하였다.

연소가스내 탈황탈질처리를 위한 저온 플라즈마 기술 (Non-Thermal Plasma Technique for Removing $SO_2$ and $NO_x$ from Combustion Flue Gas)

  • Industrial-scale pulse corona process to remove $SO_2$ and $NO_x$ simultaneously from combustion flue gas has been studied. The pilot plant built in the present study treats 2,000 $Nm^3$/hr of flue gas from a boiler. The geometry of the pulse corona reactor is similar to that of an electrostatic precipitator commonly used in industry, A thyratron switch and magnetic pulse compressors, which can generate up to 130 kV of peak pulse voltage and up to 30 kW of average pulse power, have been used to produce pulsed corona. The removal efficiencies of $S0_2$ and $NO_x$ with the present process are maximum of 95 % and 85 %, respectively. Electrical power consumption to produce the pulsed corona, which has been one of the major difficulties to apply this process to industry, has been evaluated in the present study. The results showed that the power consumption can be reduced significantly by simultaneous addition of hydrocarbon injection and heterogeneous phase reactions to the process.

  • The unpredicted worldwide oil price makes the energy efficiency technology be more importance than any other period. The small cogeneration system is one of the most representative technology among the energy efficiency technologies, and recently, the household cogeneration system has been the center object of attention because of the loss of power transmission and the reasonable energy consumption relative to the household (condensing) boiler producing heat only. A tiny, 1kW of electrical output, gas fueled internal combustion engine cogeneration system was investigated. The electrical efficiency and thermal efficiency of the system were measured. With the emission characteristics, the cogeneration system was analyzed. It was showed the gas engine cogeneration system produced the lowest NOx level compared any other cogeneration system due to the three-way catalyst.

  • An apparatus for generating flames and more particularly the microwave plasma burner for generating high-temperature large-volume plasma flame was presented. The plasma burner was composed of micvrowave transmission lines, a field applicator, discharge tube, coal and gas supply systems, and a reactor. The plasma burner is operated by injecting coal powders into a 2.45 GHz microwave plasma torch and by mixing the resultant gaseous hydrogen and carbon compounds with plasma-forming gas. We in this work used air, oxygen, steam, and their mixtures as a discharge gas or oxidant gas. The microwave plasma torch can instantaneously vaporize and decompose the hydrogen and carbon containing fuels. It was observed that the flame volume of the burner was more than 50 times that of the torch plasma. The preliminary experiments were carried out by measuring the temperature profiles of flames along the radial and axial directions. We also investigated the characteristics for coal combustion and gasification by analyzing the byproducts from the exit of reactor. As expected, various byproducts such as hydrogen, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide, etc. were detected. It is expected that such burner cab be applied to coal gasification, hydrocarbon reforming, industrial boiler of power plants, etc.

  • Carbon neutrality policies have been strengthened to reduce emissions, and the importance of technology road maps has been emphasized. In the global industrial boiler market, carbon neutrality is implemented through fuel diversification of methane-hydrogen mixture gas. However, various problems such as flashback and flame unstability arise. There is a limit to implementing the actual system as it remains in the early stage. Therefore, it is necessary to secure the source technology of methane-hydrogen hybrid combustion system applicable to industrial fields. In this study, control program for methane-hydrogen fuel conversion was developed to expect various parameters. After determining the hydrogen mixing ratio and the input air flow, the fuel conversion control algorithm was constructed to get the parameters that achieve the target oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas. LabVIEW program was used to derive correlations among hydrogen mixing rate, oxygen concentration in exhaust gas, input amount of air and heating value.

EXHAUST GAS HEAT RECOVERY SYSTEM FOR PLANT BED HEATING IN GREENHOUSE PRODUCTION

  • Hot air heater with light oil combustion is the most common heater for greenhouse heating in the winter season in Korea. However, since the heat efficiency of the heater is about 80%, considerable unused heat in the form of exhaust gas heat discharges to atmosphere. In order to capture this exhaust gas heat a heat recovery system for plant bed heating in the greenhouse was built and tested in the hot air heating system of greenhouse. The system consists of a heat exchanger made of copper pipes, ${\phi}\;12.7{\times}0.7t$ located inside the rectangular column of $330{\times}330{\times}900mm$, a water circulation pump, circulation plastic pipe and a water tame The total heat exchanger area is $1.5m^2$, calculated considering the heat exchange amount between flue gas and water circulated in the copper pipes. The system was attached to the exhaust gas path. The heat recovery system was designed as to even recapture the latent heat of flue gas when exposing to low temperature water in the heat exchanger. According to performance test it can recover 45,200 to 51,000kJ/hr depending on the water circulation rates of 330 to $690{\ell}$/hr from the waste heat discharged. The exhaust gas temperature left from the heat exchanger dropped to $100^{circ}C$ from $270^{circ}C$ by the heat exchange between the water and the flue gas, while water gained the difference and temperature increased to $38^{circ}C$ from $21^{circ}C$ at the water flow rate of $690{\ell}$/hr. And, the condensed water amount varies from 16 to $43m{\ell}$ at the same water circulation rates. This condensing heat recovery system can reduce boiler fuel consumption amount in a day by 34% according to the feasibility study of the actual mimitomato greenhouse. No combustion load was observed in the hot air heater.

가스보일러 일산화탄소 누출사고 경감에 관한 연구 (A Study on Prevention of Accidents of Carbon Monoxide Leak from Gas Boilers)

  • 본 연구는 가스보일러 CO 누출사고 경감방안에 관한 연구로서, CO 경보기 및 콘덴싱 보일러 의무화 설치 및 지원금 방법을 제시하였다. CO 중독을 예방하기 위해 CO 경보기를 의무 설치하여야 하며 현재 국산 CO 경보기의 가격이 약 4만원이며, 기초수급생활자 및 일반가정 400만 가구 대상으로 3 년 간 1,000억원의 금액이 소요됨을 제시하였다. 기초생활수급자 20만원, 일반가정 10만원, 400만 가구를 지원해주면, 3 년 간 5,000억원의 금액이 소요되며, 재정마련은 연간 100만대 판매되는 보일러를 콘덴싱 보일러로 의무화 시 년 간 약 2,000억원의 에너지 절감이 되며, 콘덴싱 보일러의 수명이 10년으로 했을 때 총 2조원의 에너지 절감비용이 생긴다. 그 중 6,000억원의 비용은 CO 경보기 및 콘덴싱 보일러 설치 지원비로 사용하며, 10년간 국내가스사고 CO 누출사고 50% 이상의 사고를 경감할 수 있을 것으로 제시하였다.

균질기에 의해 혼합된 물-벙커유의 배기가스 배출 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Characteristics of Exhaust Gas Emissions of Water-Bunker Oil Mixed by Homogenizer)

  • 본 연구에서는 균질기에 의해 혼합된 물과 벙커-A를 보일러로 연소하였을 때의 배기 배출물 특성에 대해 연구를 수행하였다. 그 결과로 균질기로 균질화 된 벙커-A의 경우, 순수 벙커-A에 비해 NOx 농도는 19 %, CO 농도는 54 % 감소를 나타냈다. 물-벙커A의 경우 물 혼합 비율이 증가할수록 NOx 농도분포가 낮아지는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 특히, 20 %물-80 %벙커-A의 경우 순수한 벙커-A 보다 배기가스 내 NOx 농도가 45 %까지 감소하였다. 그러나 20 %물-80 %벙커-A의 경우, CO농도 분포는 불규칙한 변화를 나타냈다. 이것은 일정량 이상의 물 혼합은 보일러의 연소 성능 저하 원인이 될 수 있다는 것을 의미한다. 이 결과로부터 본 연구에서 보일러의 정상 연소를 위한벙커A유 내 물의 한계 혼합율은 15 % 인 것을 알 수 있었다. 연돌 부근에서 채취한 매연 부착양은 물의 혼합율이 증가할수록 감소하였다.
