기액이상류의 압력손실과 가스상의 체적분율에 관한 이론적 해석 (A Theoretical Analysis on Pressure Loss and Gas Volumetric Fraction of Gas-Liquid Two-Phase Flow)

  • 가스상의 체적분율과 압력강하는 기액이상류에 대한 이해와 예측에 있어서 매우 중요한 인자이다. 또한 그것들은 산업용 대용량의 열교환시스템 및 선박에 설치되는 보일러 및 냉동시스템의 설계에 있어서 필수적인 항목이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 파이프의 모든 경사각도에서 기액이상류 가스상의 체적분율과 압력손실을 예측할 수 있는 이론적 해석 방법을 제시한다. 여기서의 이론적 해석은 2유체 층상류 모델을 기초로 하고 있다. 또한 이론적 해석결과와 기존의 실험결과와 비교한 결과에 대해서도 제시한다.

공장폐열(工場廢熱) 회수장치(回收裝置)에 관한 연구(硏究) -U자형(字型) 다관식(多管式) 열교환기(熱交換機)의 성능(性能)에 관하여- (Study on the Exhaust Heat Recovery Equipment in a Factory - On the Performance of a U-shape Multitube Heat Exchanger -)

  • U shape multitube heat exchanger was equipped in the flue to recover the exhaust heat from the boiler system. The fluids of the exhaust heat recovery equipment were the flue gas as the hot fluid, and the water as the cold fluid. The flow geometry of the fluids was cross flow - two pass, the hot fluid being mixed and the cold fluid unmixed. The results of the theoretical and the experimental analysis and the economic evaluation are summarized as follows. 1) The heat exchanger effectiveness and the temperature efficiency of the hot fluid were about 35% when the fuel consumption rate was 140 - 150 L/15min. The temperature efficiency for the cold fluid ranged from 3.0% to 4.5%. The insulation efficiency ranged from 85% to 98%, which was better than the KS air preheater insulation efficiency of 90%. 2) The relationship between the fuel consumption rate, F, and the outlet temperature, $T_{h2}$, of the flue gas from the heat exchanger was $T_{h2}$ = 0.927F + 110. In order to prevent the low temperature corrosion from the coagulation of $SO_3$, it is necessary to maintain the fuel consumption rate above 82 L/15min. 3) The ratio of the exhaust heat from the boiler system to the total energy consumption was about 14.5%. With the installation of the exhaust heat recovery equipment, the energy recovery ratio to the exhaust heat was about 25%. Accordingly, about 3.6% of the total fuel consumption was estimated to be saved. 4) Economic analysis indicated that the installation of the exhaust heat recovery equipment was feasible to save the energy, because the capital reocvery period was only 10 months when the fuel consumption rate was 80 L/15min. 4 months when it was 160 L/15min. 5) Based on the theoretical and the experimental analysis, it was estimated to save the energy of about 18 million Won per year, if four heat exchangers are installed in a factory. 6) A further study is recommended to identify the relationship among the flow rate of the exhaust gas, the size of the heat exchanger and the capacity of the air preheater. For a maximum heat recovery from the exhaust gas an automatic control system is required to control the flow rate of the cold fluid depending on the boiler load.

Package 수관 보일러의 연소실 설계에 관한 연구 (Study on Furnace Design for Packaged Water-Tube Boilers)

  • A computer simulation program for the design of furnace witjin pakaged water-tube boilres is developed and the developed computer program is successfully applied to design the furnace for packaged water-tube boiler. The model by experiment and the model by Hottel are used to predict the exit gas temperature of furnace. The result by two models is discussed and is shown that in the case of constant cross section in furnace, the result is same but in changing the configuration of cross section, the difference by two models is not small.

  • Bio fuel oil combustion experiments were successfully demonstrated at the 75 MWe oil-fired power plant without major equipment retrofit and 100% bio-fuel oil combustion was possible without big problems. The experimental data error correction was conducted and numerical model-based analysis technique was applied for the evaluation of the results. Incase of bio fuel oil combustion, heat absorption of radiative heat transfer section was reduced while convection section has opposite trend. The furnace exit gas temperature tends to rise slightly. Environment emissions such as NOx and SOx concentrations showed a tendency to decrease during the bio fuel oil combustion period. On the other hand, boiler efficiency was slightly underestimated.

  • Boiler combustion systems are large, non-linear systems with numerous interactions between its component parts. In the analysis of such complex systems. dynamic simulation is recognized as a powerful method of keeping track of the myriad of interactions. This paper shows and discusses the developed analysis model, such as the forced draft fan the primary air fan, the furnace and burner system, pulverizer, air preheater and induced draft fan, etc. in accordance with BMCR condition of boiler using the Modular Modeling System(MMS) software.

석탄화력발전소에서 폐플라스틱고형연료(RPF)의 혼소 연구 (Co-combustion of RPF in the Coal Power plant)

  • The co-combustion of coal and RPF(Refuse Plastic Fuel) mixture has been experimented in a commercially operating CFB coal boiler and the emissions such as SOx, NOx, TSP and dioxine were measured at the stack. The experimented RPF was supplied by domestic RPF company that is commercially producing RPF pellet from the wasted plastics. Up to 15% of total coal was substituted to RPF and no trouble was happened during normal boiler operation. SOx and NOx concentration was reduced about $15{\sim}20$% and TSP(Total Suspended Particle) was drastically reduced about 30% during co-combustion. Dioxine concentration at mixing ratio of 7.5% was $0.0487ng{\sim}TEQ/Sm^3$ ($O_2$, 12%) that satisfied governmental emission regulation.

  • Recently power plants and oil refineries are focusing on capacity enlargement for better efficiency through higher temperature and higher pressure. Thickness of boiler tubes becomes lessened due to oxidation and erasion caused by high temperature bums gas flowing over tubes outside. Accordingly, mechanical stress of tubes is increasing and that is a critical factor to make a crack and fracture. To prevent those sorts of accidents, aging assessment for proper periodic repair and replacement should be conducted reliably and reasonably. We performed IIT test on Cr-Mo steel, one of the most heat-resistant materials for facilities in power plants, and we report the test result and the considerable effectiveness of IIT test.

  • In the power plant facility which use soft coal as a power source the fan pitch blade control hydraulic actuator is used to control the inlet and outlet gas to regulate the internal pressure of the furnace and control the frequence. Sometimes malfunctions of this equipment lead to the decline of boiler thermal efficiency and unexpected power plant trip. In order to localize the fan pitch blade control hydraulic actuator specially for the 500MW large scale boiler, Analysis and modelling of the system is carried out mathematically. The responses of the system are examined by using matlab simulation fur the variation of the major parameters in view of reverse engineering. Consequently the validity of the established parameters are examined.

  • Since the heat exchange system, such as the boiler of power plant, gas turbine, and radiator require a high rate heat efficiency and the efficiency of these systems is depended on the control methods. However, it is important f3r operator to understand control system of these systems. In order to properly apply control equipment to these process control systems, such as boiler, any other heat process, or process control system it is necessary to understand the basic aspects and operation principle of the process that relate control, interrelationships of the process characteristics, and the dynamics that are involved. Generally, PID controllers are used in these systems but it is difficult for engineer to understand the complex dynamics and the tuning method because of the coupling action and disturbance in the system loop. In this paper, we design an effective experimental system fur automatic control education and analyze its characteristics through experimental system and industrial plant control software to study how they can team automatic control system by experiments.

시험용 연소로에서의 다단 저 NOx 버너의 실험 및 수치적 연구 (Experimental and Numerical Study of Low NOx Multi-Staged Burner in the Test Combustor)

  • Development of the low NOx heating boiler was strongly asked due to severe air pollution and the large number of boilers in korea. Compactness of the commercial boiler was also important because of low manufacturing cost and easy installation. In this study. newly developed compact low NOx burner, using turbulent gas diffusion combustion with multi-staged air supplies and multiple fuel nozzles, was investigated. Comparison study of the new burner was performed between experimental results and computational analysis. Commercial computational fluid dynamic(CFD) program named CFX-5.6 was used for numerical analysis of the low NOx burner inside the test combustor. Comparisons of experiment data and numerical result were performed under various equivalence ratio and fuel flow rate.
