The study of Semen Persicae & Flos Carthami in Bang-Yak-Hap-Pyun (도인(桃仁) 및 홍화(紅花)를 포함하는 방약합편처방(方藥合編處方)에 대한 고찰(考察))

  • In oriental medicine, Semen Persicae & Flos Carthami are frequently used materials for promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis. Bang-Yak-Hap-Pyun(方藥合編) is widely used for clinical herbal prescription book. In Bang-Yak-Hap-Pyun(方藥合編), Semen Persicae is used 2g~6g. and Flos Carthami is used 1.2g~4g. the nuber of prescription Semen Persicae & Flos Carthami in Bang-Yak-Hap-Pyun is total 17. 2 in sang-tong(上統), 5 in jung-tong(中統), 10 in ha-tong(下統). The group of mostly used disease is about gynecology(婦人科) & five sense organs(五官科). The mostly quoted medical literature what prescription included Semen Persicae & Flos Carthami in Bang-Yak-Hap-Pyun is Dong-Yi-Bo-Gam.

  • 감귤박을 원료로 하여 활성화제인 KOH를 사용한 약품활성화공정을 수행하여 감귤박-활성탄을 제조하고, 흡착능 및 세공분포 등을 분석한 결과 요오드 흡착능이 KS 규격 중 1급(활성탄 1,100 mg/g 이상)보다 높은 값으로 나타나 양질의 활성탄을 제조할 수 있음을 보였다. 또한 약품활성화법을 사용함으로써 탄화공정에서 제조된 탄화시료보다 월등히 높은 비표면적과 미세세공의 발달이 이루어져 KOH를 이용한 약품활성화법이 활성탄의 제조공정으로서 활용할 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

A deficiency of Yang by overuse of Ephedra in traditional medicinal aspects

  • Ephedra and ephedra alkaloids are sympathomimetic compounds extracted from the genus Ephedra. They have been used to treat colds and provide cough relief for centuries in oriental medicine. Recently, it has been reported that Ephedra plays a crucial role in weight loss and the enhancement of athletic performances. However, the overuse of Ephedra causes cardiovascular side effects such as increases in blood pressure, heart rate, and palpitations. Ephedra's adverse effects also were mentioned in Shan Han Lun, a famous formulary in traditional Chinese medicine. The present study demonstrated Ephedra's effects and the deficiency of Yang due to the overuse of Ephedra.

Characteristics of direct transesterification using ultrasound on oil extracted from spent coffee grounds

  • Spent coffee grounds (SCG), the residue after brewing coffee beverage, is a promising biodiesel feedstock due to its high oil contents (15-20%). However, SCG should be pretreated to reduce the high free fatty acid content, which hampers transesterification reaction. To overcome this, we explored a direct transesterification reaction of SCG using ultrasound irradiation and identified the optimal sonication parameters. A high fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) content, up to 97.2%, could be achieved with ultrasound amplitude of 99.2 ㎛, irradiation time of 10 min, and methanol to oil ratio of 7:1 in the presence of potassium hydroxide concentration of 1.25 wt.%. In addition, we demonstrated that ultrasound irradiation is an efficient method to produce biodiesel from untreated SCG in a short time with less energy than the conventional mechanical stirring method. The physical and chemical properties of the SCG biodiesel met the requirements for an alternative fuel to the current commercial biodiesel.

  • Acontii Tuber is very toxious material, but In oriental medicine frequently used for emergency state like shock, coma, and severe pain and author study about Acontii Tuber in Bang-Yak-Hap-Pyun(方藥合編). Bang-Yak-Hap-Pyun(方藥合編) is widely used for clinical herbal prescpition book. Acontii Tuber has alkaloid. this chemical compound make toxious state like arrythmia, heart arrest, weakness, numbness, itching. And using this material must be careful. In Bang-Yak-Hap-Pyun(方藥合編) Acontii Tuber is used 1.2g ~ 12g. and it decrease pain, inflammation, increase activity of heart, and Acontii Tuber' commom use is severe pain disease. Raw Acontii Tuber(生附子) is rarely used, mostly roasted Acontii Tuber. In case of Acontii Tuber toxic state, in oriental medicine Gam-du-tang(甘豆湯) & Go-sam(苦蔘) is used, in western medicine atropine & lidocane is used.

기본적(基本的) 변수(變數)와 주식수익률(株式收益率)의 관계(關係)에 관한 실증적(實證的) 연구(硏究)

  • 본 연구는 기업규모, 장부가치/시장가치 비율, 순이익/주가 비율, 현금흐름/주가 비율, 레버리지 등 기본적 변수를 사용하여 주식수익률에 유의적인 변수를 확인하고, 또한 Fama and French(1993) 등에 의해서 제시된 다요인모형(multi-factor model)이 한국주식시장에서 적용가능한 지를 살펴보았다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 Fama and MacBeth(1973)의 횡단면회귀모형과 Black, Jensen, and Scholes (1972)의 시계열모형을 사용하였으며, 실증분석결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 먼저 횡단면분석결과에 의하면, 장부가치/시장가치 비율(BE/ME), 현금흐름/주가 비율(C/P) 등이 주식수익률의 횡단면적 차이를 설명할 수 있는 유의적인 변수로 나타났다. 그리고 통계적 의미에서는 1월효과가 존재한다고 보기 어려우나, 경제적 의미에서 1월효과가 존재하는 것으로 생각된다. 시계열분석결과에 의하면, 시장요인, 기업규모요인, 장부가치/시장가치요인(또는 현금흐름/주가요인) 등의 3요인에 의해서 국내 주식수익률의 공통적 변동을 잘 설명할 수 있다. 즉 국내 증권시장에서도 Fama and French(1993)의 3요인모형이 성립될 수 있는 것으로 판단된다.

Reflectivity of Sn Solder for LED Lead Frame

  • In this study, in order to obtain a high reflectivity for the LED lead frame, tin dip coating and tin plating were conducted respectively, and wettability of LED lead frame with tin solder also was tested by wetting balance tester. A Cu sheet was plated in Cu brighten electroplating bath and followed by immersion in a Sn electro-less plating bath [1]. On the other hand, in the dip coating process, a Cu sheet was dipped into molten tin. In the progress of wetting test, besides wetting balance curve, the maximum measured force($F_m$), the maximum withdrawal force($F_w$) and zero-cross time($t_0$) were obtained in various temperatures. With the maximum withdrawal force, the surface tension was calculated at different temperatures. The Cu sheet plated with bright Cu and Sn show a silver bright property while that of Cu dipped with Sn possessed a high reflectance density of 1.34GAM at $270^{\circ}C$.

Analysis of solute transport in rivers using a stochastic storage model (확률론적 저장대모형을 이용한 하천에서의 물질혼합거동 해석)

  • The one-dimensional solute transport models have been developed for recent decades to predict behavior and fate of solutes in rivers. Transient storage model (TSM) is the most popular model because of its simple conceptualization to consider the complexity of natural rivers. However, the TSM is highly dependent on its parameters which cannot be directly measured. In addition, the TSM interprets the late-time behavior of concentration curves in the shape of an exponential function, which has been evaluated as not suitable for actual solute behavior in natural rivers. In this study, we suggested a stochastic approach to the solute transport analysis. We delineated the model development and model application to a natural river, and compared the results of the proposed model to those of the TSM. To validate the proposed model, a tracer test was carried out in the 4.85 km reach of Gam Creek, one of the first-order tributaries of Nakdong River, South Korea. As a result of comparing the power-law slope of the tail of breakthrough curves, the simulation results from the stochastic storage model yielded the average error rate of 0.24, which is more accurate than the 14.03 and 1.87 from advection-dispersion model and TSM, respectively. This study demonstrated the appropriateness of the power-law residence time distribution to the hyporheic zone of the Gam Creek.

  • Efficient one-pot microwave-assisted synthesis of various benzo-[1,4]-oxazinones via Smiles rearrangement is described. Treatment of 2-chloroacetamide, substituted 2-chlorophenols and cesium carbonate in MeO-PEG-OMe (2,000) as solvent afforded the corresponding benzo-[1,4]-oxazinones and 1H-pyrido[2,3-b][1,4]-oxazin-2-(3H)-one as moderate yield.
