Noise Evaluation Algorithm for Applying Complex Denoising Technique in On-line Partial Discharge Diagnosis System for Power Apparatus (전력기기의 운전중 부분방전 진단장치에서 복합잡음제거 적용을 위한 잡음평가 알고리즘)

  • This paper introduces an evaluation code, which can numerically express the noise possessing degree of signals. By using this code, the best kind and setting of noise suppressing techniques can be chosen automatically. This code is applied to three kinds of specific denoising techniques; those are simple noise removing method in the count versus phase distribution, fuzzy logic method based on noise type in magnitude versus phase plot, and lastly, the technique using grouping characteristics of PD pulses in 3D plot of magnitude versus phase versus cycle. The algorithm shows good performance in the various real PD signals measured from various high voltage apparatuses in Korea.

Aviation Convective Index for Deep Convective Area using the Global Unified Model of the Korean Meteorological Administration, Korea: Part 1. Development and Statistical Evaluation (안전한 항공기 운항을 위한 현업 전지구예보모델 기반 깊은 대류 예측 지수: Part 1. 개발 및 통계적 검증)

  • Deep convection can make adverse effects on safe and efficient aviation operations by causing various weather hazards such as convectively-induced turbulence, icing, lightning, and downburst. To prevent such damage, it is necessary to accurately predict spatiotemporal distribution of deep convective area near the airport and airspace. This study developed a new index, the Aviation Convective Index (ACI), for deep convection, using the operational global Unified Model of the Korea Meteorological Administration. The ACI was computed from combination of three different variables: 3-hour maximum of Convective Available Potential Energy, averaged Outgoing Longwave Radiation, and accumulative precipitation using the fuzzy logic algorithm. In this algorithm, the individual membership function was newly developed following the cumulative distribution function for each variable in Korean Peninsula. This index was validated and optimized by using the 1-yr period of radar mosaic data. According to the Receiver Operating Characteristics curve (AUC) and True Skill Score (TSS), the yearly optimized ACI (ACIYrOpt) based on the optimal weighting coefficients for 1-yr period shows a better skill than the no optimized one (ACINoOpt) with the uniform weights. In all forecast time from 6-hour to 48-hour, the AUC and TSS value of ACIYrOpt were higher than those of ACINoOpt, showing the improvement of averaged value of AUC and TSS by 1.67% and 4.20%, respectively.

  • The main purpose of this paper is to manage the container property effectively at the container yard by applying the RTLS technology to the field of port logistics. Yet, many kinds of noises happen to be inputted with the distance value(between the reader and the tag) which is to be inputted into the location identification algorithm, which makes the distance value jumped due to the system noise of the ultrasonic sensor module and the measurement noise. The Kalman Filter is widely used to prevent this jump occurrence; the noises are eliminated by using the EKF(Extended Kalman Filter) while considering that the distance information of the ultrasonic sensor is non-linear. Also, the 3D RTLS system at the port container yard suggested in this research is designed not to be interrupted for its ultrasonic transmission by positioning the antenna at the front of each sector of the container where the active tags are installed. We positioned the readers, which function as antennas for location identification, to four places randomly in the absolute coordinate and let the positions of the active tags identified by using the distance data delivered from the active tags. For the location identification algorithm used in this paper, the triangulation measurement that is most used in general is applied and newly reorganized to calculate the position of the container. In the first experiment, we dealt with the error resulting in the angle and the distance of the ultrasonic sensor module, which is the most important in the hardware performance; in the second, we evaluated the performance of the location identification algorithm, which is the most important in the software performance, and tested the noise cancellation effects for the EKF. According to the experiment result, the ultrasonic sensor showed an average of 3 to 5cm error up to $45^{\circ}$ in case of $60^{\circ}$ or more, non-reliable linear distances were obtained. In addition, the evaluation of the algorithm performance showed an average of $4^{\circ}{\sim}5^{\circ}$ error due to the error of the linear distance-this error is negligible for most container location identifications. Lastly, the experiment results of noise cancellation and jump preservation by using the EKF showed that noises were removed in the distance information which was entered from the input of the ultrasonic sensor and as a result, only signal was extracted; thus, jumps were able to be removed and the exact distance information between the ultrasonic sensors could be obtained.

  • There are many tasks which require robotic manipulators interaction with environment. It consists of three control problems, i.e., position control, impact control and force control. The position control means the way of reaching to the environment. The moment of touching to the environment yields the impact control problem and the force control is to maintain the desired force trajectory after the impact with the environment. These three control problems occur in sequence, so each control algorithm can be developed independently. Especially for redundant manipulators, each of these three control problems has been important independent research topic. For example, joint torque minimization and impulse minimization are typical techniques for such control problems. The three control problems are considered as a single task in this paper. The position control strategy is developed to improve the performance of the task, i.e., minimization of the individual joint torques and impulse. Therefore, initial conditions of the impact control problem are optimized at the previous position control algorithm. Such a control strategy yields improved result of the impact control. Similarly, the initial conditions for the force control problem are indirectly optimized by the previous position control and impact control strategies. The force control algorithm uses the individual joint torque minimization concept. It also minimizes the force disturbances. The simulation results show the proposed control strategy works well.

A Cost-Effective and Accurate COA Defuzzifier Without Multipliers and Dividers (승산기 및 제산기 없는 저비용 고정밀 COA 비퍼지화기)

  • This paper proposes an accurate and cost-effective COA defuzzifier of fuzzy logic controller (FLC). The accuracy of the proposed COA defuzzifier is obtained by involving both membership values and spans of membership functions in calculating a crisp value. The cost-effectiveness of the proposed COA defuzzifier is obtained by replacing the division in the COA defuzzifier by finding an equilibrium point of both the left and right moments. The proposed COA defuzzifier has two disadvantages that it ncreases the hardware complexity due to the additional multipliers and it takes a lot of computation time to find the moment equilibrium point. The first disadvantage is overcome by replacing the multipliers with the stochastic AND operations. The second disadvantage is alleviated by using a coarse-to-fine searching algorithm that accelerates the finding of moment equilibrium point. Application of the proposed COA defuzzifier to the truck backer-upper control problem is performed in the VHDL simulation and the control accuracy of the proposed COA defuzzifier is compared with that of the conventional COA defuzzifier in terms of average tracing distance.

  • The main goal of existing mobile robot system was a complete autonomous navigation and the vision information was just used as an assistant way such as monitoring For this reason, the researches have been going towards sophistication of autonomousness gradually and the production costs also has been risen. However, it is also important to control remotely an inexpensive mobile robot system which has no intelligence at all. Such systems may be much more effective than fully autonomous systems in practice. Visual information from a simple camera and distance information from ultrasonic sensors are used for this system. Collision avoidance becomes the most important problem for this system. In this paper, we developed a force feedback joystick to control the robot system remotely with collision avoiding capability. Fuzzy logic is used for the algorithm in order to implement the expert s knowledge intelligently. Some experimental results show the force feedback joystick werks very well.

Fuzzy Logic Based Modeling of an Incident Detection Algorithm (퍼지이론을 이용한 유고감지 알고리즘)

  • 본 논문은 다이아몬드 인터체인지에서의 유고감지모형 개발을 위해 퍼지이론을 응용한 연구를 문서화 한 것이다. 지금까지의 교차로와 일반도로(고속도로가 아닌)에서의 유고감지에 관한 연구는 초기에 불과하다. 기존의 알고리즘들은 필요한 데이터 보존의 어 려움과 유고감지의 특성과 관련된 기술적 어려움을 효과적으로 극복하지 못하고 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 다이아몬드 인터체인지에서의 유고감지를 위한 새로운 모형을 개발하는데 있다. 이 연구를 통하여 개발된 유고감지 모형은 차량차단 유고(lane-blocking incidents) 를 감지하는데, 감지의 범위는 차량차단 유고의 경향이 교통 장황에 특정한 패턴을 형성 하고 그에 따른 신호제어전략의 조정이 요구될 때에 국한된다. 이 모형은 전통적인 통계 치를 이용한 유고감지감 고유의 문제를 해결하며, 보다 정확하고 신뢰성 있는 유고감지를 위해 다양한 교통변수를 이용하여 전체적인 유고의 경향을 포착한다. 또한 이 모형은 실 시간 교통대응 다이아몬드 인터체인지 신호제어 시스템 (real-time traffic adaptive diamond interchange control system)의 구성요소로써 사용되며, 그리고 더 큰 교차로 시스템에의 상용을 위하여 확장이 용역하도록 설계되었다. 본 연구를 통해 개발된 프로 토타입(prototype) 유고감지 모형은 실제의 다이아몬드 인터체인지에 적용되어, 감지율, 오보율, 평감지시간의 세 달로써 성능이 평가되었다. 모형의 성능평가 결과는 무적이었으 며, 퍼지이론은 유고감지에 효과적인 접근방법임을 확인할 수 있었다.투자의 타당성을 실증적으로 보여 주고 있다.산정 절차 정립에 엇갈림 알고리즘을 활용하는 방안을 제시하였다.자함수를 추정한 뒤 이를 이용해 업종, 기업규모, 상품유형별로 적합한 모델(Fixed Effects Model)을 결정하고, 각각에 해당하는 통계모형을 구축하였다. 이 결과 (1) 업종 및 기업규모별로 그룹간에 유의한 특성이 발견되었으며, (2) R&D 및 광고투자는 기업의 시장성과를 설명하는 중요한 변수이나, (3) R&D 투자의 경우는 광고에 비해 불확실성이 존재하는 것으로 나타났고, (4) 수리모형에서 도출된 한계원리가 통계모형에서도 유효한 것으로 드러났다.등을 토대로 한 10대 산업을 육성하기 위하여 과학기술부는 기술수요조사를 바탕으로 49개 주요기술을 도출하여, 과학기술 일류 국가 실현, 국민소득 2만불 달성이라는 국가적 슬로건을 내걸고 “차세대 성장동력” 창출을 위한 범정부차원의 기획과 연구비의 집중투자를 추진하고 있다.달성하기 위해서는 종합류류 전산망의 시급한 구축과 함께 화물차의 적재율을 높이고 공차율을 낮출 수 있는 운송체계의 수립이 필요한 것으로 판단된다. 그라나 이러한 화물전용차선의 효과는 단기적인 치유책일 수밖에 없기 때문에 물류유통 시설의 확충을 위한 사회간접자본의 구축을 서둘러 시행하여야 할 것이다.으로 처리한 Machine oil, Phenthoate EC 및 Trichlorfon WP는 비교적 약효가 낮았다.>$^{\circ}$E/$\leq$30$^{\circ}$NW 단열군이 연구지역 내에서 지하수 유동성이 가장 높은 단열군으로 추정된다. 이러한 사실은 3개 시추공을 대상으로 실시한

  • 국외의 상수도 원격검침 시스템 내 데이터 전송방식은 도시 규모, 계량기의 밀도, 전력공급 여부 및 통신망의 설치 여부 등을 종합적으로 고려하여 결정되었다. 대부분의 스마트워터미터 제조업체들은 계량기의 부호기가 공급하는 판독 내용(데이터)을 전송할 검침단말기와 근거리 통신망(neighborhood area network)을 연계하여 개발 및 판매하였으며, 자체 소유 통신 프로토콜을 사용하여 라디오 주파수(RF) 통신 기술을 사용하고 있다. 광역통신망(wide area network)의 경우, 노드(말단의 계량기 및 센서)들과 이에 연결된 통신망 들을 포함한 네트웍의 배열이나 구성이 스타(star), 메쉬(mesh), 버스(bus), 나무(tree) 등의 형태로 통신망이 구성되어 있으나, 스타와 메쉬형 통신망 구성형태가 가장 널리 활용되는 것으로 조사되었다. 시스템 통합운영관리 업체들인 IBM, Oracle, Itron 등은 용수 인프라 관리 또는 통합네트워크 솔루션 등의 통합 물관리 시스템(integrated water management system)을 개발하여 현장적용을 하고 있으며, 원격검침 시스템을 통해 고객들의 현재 소비량과 과거 누적 소비량, 누수 감지 서비스 및 실시간 요금 고지 등을 실시간으로 웹 포털과 앱을 통해 제공하고 있다. 또한, 일부 제조업체들은 도시 용수공급/소비 관리자가 주민의 용수사용량을 모니터링하여 일평균 용수사용량 및 사용 경향을 파악하고, 누수를 검지하여 복구 및 용수 사용 지속가능성 지수를 제시하고, 실시간으로 주민의 용수사용량 관련 데이터를 모니터링하여 용수공급의 최적화를 위한 의사결정지원 서비스를 용수공급자에게 제공하고 있다. 최근에는 인공지능을 활용해 가정용수의 용도별(세탁용수, 화장실용수, 샤워용수, 식기세척용수 등) 사용량 곡선을 패터닝하여 profiling 기법을 도입해, 스마트워터미터에서 용수사용량이 통합되어 검지될 시 용수사용량의 세부 용도별 re-profiling 기법을 도입하여 가정용수내 과소비되는 지점을 도출 후 절감을 유도하는 기술이 개발 중이다. 또한, 미래 용수 사용량 예측을 위해 다양한 시계열 자료를 분석하는 선형 종속 모형(자기회귀모형, 자기회귀이동평균모형, 자기회귀적분이동평균모형 등)과 비선형 종속 모형(Fuzzy Logic, Neural Network, Genetic Algorithm 등)을 활용한 예측기능이 구축되어 상호 비교하여 최적의 용수사용량 예측 도구를 제공되고 있다.

Improvement of Radar Rainfall Estimation Using Radar Reflectivity Data from the Hybrid Lowest Elevation Angles (혼합 최저고도각 반사도 자료를 이용한 레이더 강우추정 정확도 향상)

  • A novel approach, hybrid surface rainfall (KNU-HSR) technique developed by Kyungpook Natinal University, was utilized for improving the radar rainfall estimation. The KNU-HSR technique estimates radar rainfall at a 2D hybrid surface consistings of the lowest radar bins that is immune to ground clutter contaminations and significant beam blockage. Two HSR techniques, static and dynamic HSRs, were compared and evaluated in this study. Static HSR technique utilizes beam blockage map and ground clutter map to yield the hybrid surface whereas dynamic HSR technique additionally applies quality index map that are derived from the fuzzy logic algorithm for a quality control in real time. The performances of two HSRs were evaluated by correlation coefficient (CORR), total ratio (RATIO), mean bias (BIAS), normalized standard deviation (NSD), and mean relative error (MRE) for ten rain cases. Dynamic HSR (CORR=0.88, BIAS= $-0.24mm\;hr^{-1}$, NSD=0.41, MRE=37.6%) shows better performances than static HSR without correction of reflectivity calibration bias (CORR=0.87, BIAS= $-2.94mm\;hr^{-1}$, NSD=0.76, MRE=58.4%) for all skill scores. Dynamic HSR technique overestimates surface rainfall at near range whereas it underestimates rainfall at far ranges due to the effects of beam broadening and increasing the radar beam height. In terms of NSD and MRE, dynamic HSR shows the best results regardless of the distance from radar. Static HSR significantly overestimates a surface rainfall at weaker rainfall intensity. However, RATIO of dynamic HSR remains almost 1.0 for all ranges of rainfall intensity. After correcting system bias of reflectivity, NSD and MRE of dynamic HSR are improved by about 20 and 15%, respectively.
