A ship control by fuzzy neutral network (FNN에 의한 선박의 제어)

  • Fuzzy neural ship controllers is used in ship steering control. It can make full use of the advantage of all kinds of intelligent algorithms. This provides an efficient way for this paper. An RBF neural network and GA optimization are employed in a fuzzy neural controller to deal with the nonlinearity, time varying and uncertain factors. Utilizing the designed network to substitute the conventional fuzzy inference, the rule base and membership functions can be auto-adjusted by GA optimization. The parameters of neural network can be decreased by using union-rule configuration in the hidden layer of the network. The ship control quality is effectively improved in case of appending additional sea state disturbance. The performance of controller is evaluated by the system simulation using simulink tools.

  • 본 논문에서는 대표적인 시스템 모델링 도구중의 하나인 RBF 뉴럴 네트워크(Radial Basis Function Neural Network)를 설계한다. 제안된 RBF 뉴럴 네트워크는 은닉층의 활성함수로서 Fuzzy C-Means 클러스터링을 사용하며 더 나아가 모델의 최적화를 위해 PSO 알고리즘을 사용하여 은닉층의 노드 수와 다수의 입력을 가질 경우 입력의 종류를 동정한다. 제안한 모델의 성능을 평가하기 위해 NOx 데이터를 적용하였으며 제안된 모델의 근사화와 일반화 능력을 분석한다.

  • This paper proposes the enhanced REF network, which arbitrates learning rate and momentum dynamically by using the fuzzy system, to arbitrate the connected weight effectively between the middle layer of REF network and the output layer of REF network. ART2 is applied to as the learning structure between the input layer and the middle layer and the proposed auto-turning method of arbitrating the learning rate as the method of arbitrating the connected weight between the middle layer and the output layer. The enhancement of proposed method in terms of learning speed and convergence is verified as a result of comparing it with the conventional delta-bar-delta algorithm and the REF network on the basis of the ART2 to evaluate the efficiency of learning of the proposed method.

  • 본 논문에서는 다항식 기반 Radial Basis Function(RBF)신경회로망(Polynomial based Radial Basis Function Neural Networks)을 설계하고 이를 2-클래스 패턴 분류 문제에 응용하여 그 성능을 분석한다. 제안된 다항식기반 RBF 신경회로망은 입력층, 은닉층, 출력 층으로 이루어진다. 입력층은 입력 벡터의 값들을 은닉 층으로 전달하는 기능을 수행하고 은닉층은 Fuzzy c-means 클러스터링을 통하여 뉴런의 출력 값으로 내보낸다. 은닉층과 출력층사이의 연결가중치는 상수, 선형식 또는 이차식으로 이루어지며 경사 하강법에 의해 학습된다. Networks의 최종 출력은 연결가중치와 은닉층 출력의 곱에 의해 퍼지추론의 결과로서 얻어진다. 제안된 다항식기반 RBF 신경회로망은 각기 다른 4종류의 2-클래스 분류 문제에 적용 및 평가되어 분류기로써의 성능을 분석한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 fuzzy granular computing 방법 중의 하나인 context-based FCM을 이용하여 granular-based radial basis function neural network에 대한 기본적인 개면과 그들의 포괄적인 설계 구조에 대해서 자세히 기술한다. 제안된 모델에 기본이 되는 설계 도구는 context-based fuzzy c-means (C-FCM)로 알려진 fuzzy clustering에 초점이 맞춰져 있으며, 이는 주어진 데이터의 특징에 맞게 공간을 분할함으로써 효율적으로 모델을 구축할 수가 있다. 제안된 모델의 설계 공정은 1) Context fuzzy set에 대한 정의와 설계, 2) Context-based fuzzy clustering에 대한 모델의 적용과 이에 따른 모델 구축의 효율성, 3) 입력과 출력공간에서의 연결된 information granule에 대한 parameter(다항식의 계수들)에 대한 최적화와 같은 단계로 구성되어 있다. Information granule에 대한 parameter들은 성능지수를 최소화하기 위해 Least square method에 의해서 보정된다. 본 논문에서는 모델을 설계함에 있어서 체계적인 설계 알고리즘을 포괄적으로 설명하고 있으며 더 나아가 제안된 모델의 성능을 다른 표준적인 모델들과 대조함으로써 제안된 모델의 우수성을 나타내고자 한다.

  • In our research, we will extract diagnostic parameters by LPC method and wavelet transform. Then, we will design artificial neural network which is based on RBF that can express input features in terms of fuzzy. Because PVC(Premature Ventricular Contraction) has possibility to cause heart attack, the detection of PVC is a very significant problem. To deal with this problem, LPC method which gives different coefficients or different morphologies and wavelet transform which has superior localization nature of time-frequency, are used to extract effective parameters or classification of normal and PVC. Because RBF network can allocate an input feature to the membership degree of each category, total system will be more flexible.

  • In this paper, the direct and indirect adaptive controller are combined based on the Lyapunov synthesis approach. The Proposed controller is constructed from RBF Neural Network and weighting parameters are adjusted on-line according to some adaptation law. In this scheme, fuzzy IF-THEN rules are used to decide the combined weighting factor. In the results, proposed controller has the main advantages of both the direct adaptive controller and the indirect adaptive controller. The effectiveness of the proposed control scheme is demonstrated through simulation results of control for one-link rigid robotics manipulator.

  • The paper concerns Fuzzy C-Means clustering based Radial Basis Function neural networks (FCM-RBFNN) and the optimization of the network is carried out by means of Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO). FCM-RBFNN is the extended architecture of Radial Basis Function Neural Network(RBFNN). In the proposed network, the membership functions of the premise part of fuzzy rules do not assume any explicit functional forms such as Gaussian, ellipsoidal, triangular, etc., so its resulting fitness values directly rely on the computation of the relevant distance between data points by means of FCM. Also, as the consequent part of fuzzy rules extracted by the FCM - RBFNN model, the order of four types of polynomials can be considered such as constant, linear, quadratic and modified quadratic. Weighted Least Square Estimator(WLSE) are used to estimates the coefficients of polynomial. Since the performance of FCM-RBFNN is affected by some parameters of FCM-RBFNN such as a specific subset of input variables, fuzzification coefficient of FCM, the number of rules and the order of polynomials of consequent part of fuzzy rule, we need the structural as well as parametric optimization of the network. In this study, the PSO is exploited to carry out the structural as well as parametric optimization of FCM-RBFNN. Moreover The proposed model is demonstrated with the use of numerical example and gas furnace data set.

Channel Equalization using Fuzzy-ARTMAP Neural Network

  • This paper studies the application of a fuzzy-ARTMAP neural network to digital communications channel equalization. This approach provides new solutions for solving the problems, such as complexity and long training, which found when implementing the previously developed neural-basis equalizers. The proposed fuzzy-ARTMAP equalizer is fast and easy to train and includes capabilities not found in other neural network approaches; a small number of parameters, no requirements for the choice of initial weights, automatic increase of hidden units, no risk of getting trapped in local minima, and the capability of adding new data without retraining previously trained data. In simulation studies, binary signals were generated at random in a linear channel with Gaussian noise. The performance of the proposed equalizer is compared with other neural net basis equalizers, specifically MLP and RBF equalizers.
