A hybrid algorithm of fuzzy logic and conventional PI controller for the temperature control of glass melting furnace (유리 용해로 온도 제어를 위한 퍼지 로직과 PI 제어기의 복합형 제어 알고리듬)

  • This paper presents a practical application of fuzzy logic control to temperature control of glass melting furnace. Due to the characteristics of glass melting furnace, a hybrid algorithm of conventional PI controller and fuzzy logic controller is proposed and discussed. Practical implementation results of the production furnace showed the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm.

  • This paper proposed a optimal scale factors technique of a fuzzy-neural network for a load frequency control of two areas power system. The optimal scale factors control technique is optimize from an initial fuzzy logic control rule, and then is learned with an error back propagation learning algorithm of the fuzzy-neural network. In application two areas the load frequency control of the power system, it hopes to have response characteristic better than optimal control technique which is the conventional control technique and to show to minimize a frequency deviation and reaching and settling time of a tie line power flow deviation

  • Abstract-A speed controller of a induction motor using Microcontroller and Fuzzy logic is presented in the paper. Generally fuzzy logic controller is known as a controller which 춤 be coped with a non-linear and a complex system. A fuzzy logic is used for robust and fast speed control and space vector modulation method is used for PWM wave generation in this proposed system. The results of experiment show excellence of the proposed system and that the proposed system is appropriate to control the speed of a induction motor for industrial application

  • This paper presents the application of fuzzy control to three links of a Rhino robot and compares its performance to traditional PD control. The dynamics of motion of robot links are governed by nonlinear differential equations. The fuzzy controller, being an adaptive technique, gives better performance than the traditional linear PD controller over a typical operational range. The fuzzy controller reaches the desired position with no overshoot, which is unlikely with the PD controller.

  • A Practical application of self-tuning fuzzy controller to a multi-input multi-output complex system of a vehicle engine is investigated. The ovjective is to design a controller to improve the transient performance in torque and RPM mode changes. For the performance improvement in the multivariable comples system, the self-tuning function of internal parameters is essential and practical. The measured output variables using different control schemes are compared the advanteges of the self-tuning fuzzy logic controller are better output performances and the effectiveness in the controller design using many parameters.

  • The writing styles of TIME and Newsweek are analyzed using a specially developed linguistic program. These two news magazines were chosen because of their wide popularity. As for the results, it became obvious that both the frequency curve of words and that of characters have not changed for the past 60 years. Also, we have found that the frequency curves have some inflection points and that the genre of English writings can be identified by these points. After counting the percentage of required vocabulary for junior high school students and high school students in English writings, we can derive the relative difficulties of them using fuzzy reasoning. Fuzzy rules are constructed using features of the characteristic curves. We feel it would be a good guide index when selecting textbooks or supplementary readers.

  • This work involves analyzing partial discharge (PD), which has estimated the detected signal accumulation based on Labview, and analyzing by Fuzzy algorithm. In algorithm, we developed system configuration that detected accumulating PD signal. With practical PD logic implementation of theoretical detected system and hardware implementation, the device for 50kV setup has generated and then has applied with 15k~17kV with 1:1 time probe. Our new class of PD detected algorithm has also compared with PRPDA or Fuzzy algorithm, which has diagnose more conveniently by adding numerical values.

  • A practical application of a fuzzy control system is described for an air-conditioning system. Air-hadling units are being widely used for improving the performance of central air-conditioning systems. The fuzzy control system has two controlled variables, temperature and humidity, and three control elements, cooling, heating, and humidification. In order to achieve high efficiency and economical control, especially in large offices and industrial buildings, two controllable parameters, temperature and humidity, must be adequately controlled by the three final controlling elements. In this paper a fuzzy control system was described for controlling air-conditioning systems efficiently and economically.

  • This paper present the idea that the inner loop regulator inside the servo can be enhanced its performance by replace the conventional control with a fuzzy proportional derivative control. In this paper, we replace an inner loop regulator of a Futaba servomotor with a fuzzy PD control paradigm. We then test the proposed system and compare the result with the original scheme. The fuzzy control used here is based on the supervisory scheme of the conventional PD yet embedded a fuzzy decision for the final control action. The proposed control scheme for the servomotor has shown robustness and effective performance in handle input disturbance along with its tracking ability. Modified Gaussian Filter based on Fuzzy Membership Function for AWGN Removal in Digital Images

  • Various digital devices were supplied throughout the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Accordingly, the importance of data processing has increased. Data processing significantly affects equipment reliability. Thus, the importance of data processing has increased, and various studies have been conducted on this topic. This study proposes a modified Gaussian filter algorithm based on a fuzzy membership function. The proposed algorithm calculates the Gaussian filter weight considering the standard deviation of the filtering mask and computes an estimate according to the fuzzy membership function. The final output is calculated by adding or subtracting the Gaussian filter output and estimate. To evaluate the proposed algorithm, simulations were conducted using existing additive white Gaussian noise removal algorithms. The proposed algorithm was then analyzed by comparing the peak signal-to-noise ratio and differential image. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has superior noise reduction performance and improved performance compared to the existing method.
