  • The decision maker has the job of torecasting capital investments and operating expenses to aid the decision making in choosing and evaluating present and future alternatives. The estimating function eventually analysis, evaluates and choose the alternatives. The analysis stemmed originally from a preliminary design of some sort, and eventually plans are started to investigate investment possibilites. This study provide the descounted cash flow and the present worth method. Despite any choice of an analytical method, there remains the problem of predicting certain future events. Therefore, these models dealing with optimum plant sizing, equipment replacement, and lease or buy will be discussed.

문제발견 중심의 과학토론수업이 초등학생들의 과학 창의적 문제해결력과 과학탐구능력에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Scientific Discussion Classes Focusing Problem Finding on the Primary School Students' Scientific Creative Problem Solving Ability and Science Process Skills)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of scientific discussion classes focusing problem finding on the primary school students' scientific creative problem solving ability, science process skills and attitude toward science class. To verify this research problem, the subject of this study was fifth-grade students selected from four classes of M elementary school located in Busan city. For four months, the experimental group of 51 students was taught using the "scientific discussion classes focusing problem finding". The control group also of 53 students was taught in normal classes which used a text-book. All students were given pre and post test to verify the effects of scientific discussion classes focusing problem finding on the primary school students' scientific creative problem solving ability, science process skills and attitude toward science class. The results from this study are as the following. First, the scientific discussion classes focusing problem finding were effective in scientific creative problem solving ability among the primary school students. It is possibly because in the process where one student compare his/her own thoughts with the others' ones and discuss them. Second, the scientific discussion classes focusing problem finding were effective in science process skills among the primary school students. Third, the scientific discussion classes focusing problem finding were effective in attitude toward science class. In conclusion, the scientific discussion classes focusing problem finding had positive effects on improvement of primary school students' scientific creative problem solving ability, science process skills and also could lead to a change in students' cognition about science class to a positive way. Therefore, the scientific discussion class focusing problem finding is hopefully to be provided as an effective instructive strategy of science class in school in the future.

근거기반실무를 활용한 기본간호학 수업 운영의 효과 (Effect of Fundamental Nursing Class using Evidence-Based Practice)

  • 근거기반실무 간호교육은 학습자의 수준에 따라 단계적으로 경험하며 숙련되도록 이끌어야한다. 본 연구는 근거기반실무의 일부를 통합한 간호학과 2학년의 기본간호학 수업을 운영하고 근거기반실무의 기초역량 향상에 대한 효과를 검증하였다. 연구 설계는 비동등성 대조군 전후 유사실험설계이었다. 대상자는 2개 대학교의 간호학과 2학년 재학생 108명이었다. 실험군은 2016년 2학기 15주 수업기간 중 총 8주, 24시간의 근거기반실무를 활용한 기본간호학 수업에 참여하였고 대조군은 일반적 기본간호학 수업에 참여하였다. 자료는 자가보고형의 문제해결 적극성, 근거기반실무 적용의도, 그리고 비판적 사고성향 측정도구로 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS/WIN 23.0 program을 이용하여 동질성은 Chi-square 검정과 독립표본 t-검정으로, 가설 검정은 독립표본 t-검정으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과 실험군은 대조군에 비해 문제해결 적극성과 근거기반실무 적용의도에서 유의한 증가를 보였다. 그러나 비판적 사고는 두 군 간에 차이가 없었다. 근거기반실무를 활용한 기본간호학 수업은 저학년 학생의 근거기반실무 기초역량인 문제해결 적극성과 근거기반실무 적용의도의 증가에 효과적이었다. 근거기반실무에 대한 학년별 목표에 적합한 교과과정에 의한 간호학생들의 근거기반실무 역량과 비판적 사고의 향상에 대한 장기적 노력이 더 필요하다.

Data Mining with Constructing Database and Researching Trend Investigation Related with the Field of Nonlinear Problem

  • In this paper, we propose an approach which contains with constructing a bibliography information database, extracting the fields of research, and researching trend of them, using data mining. To apply our approach to IEICE Technical Report (nonlinear problem society), the database was constructed based on its report, keywords were analyzed using the frequency analysis and the association analysis, and we discussed about the result. We could extract some field of research from the result.

  • A common problem encountered in product or process design is the selection of optimal parameter levels which involve simultaneous consideration of multiresponse variables. A multiresponse problem is solved through three major stages: data collection, model building, and optimization. To date, various methods have been proposed for the optimization stage, including the desirability function approach and loss function approach. In this paper, we first propose a framework classifying the existing studies and then propose some promising directions for future research.

청소년의 스트레스인지가 자살의도에 미치는 영향: 신체활동, 문제음주, 우울인지를 매개로 (The Influence of Adolescents' Cognitive Stress on Their Suicidal Intention: Focusing on Mediating Effect of Physical Activity, Problem Drinking, Cognitive Depression)

  • Objectives: This study examined how adolescents' cognitive stress relates to suicidal thought, thereby offering basic data about social and institutional ways to reduce adolescent suicide. Methods: In this study, data from an online survey on adolescents' health conducted by Korea Center for Disease Control(2013, 9th) was used after altering it to fit the purpose of the study. The data was analysed using the complex sampling method and structural equation model(SEM). Results: Whilst adolescents' cognitive stress had positive effects on suicidal thought, problem drinking and cognitive depression, it had a negative effect on physical activity. The structural equation model from cognitive stress, problem drinking, cognitive depression, physical activity influenced suicidal thought. Problem drinking on the other hand had an influence on cognitive depression. Conclusion: These findings suggest that future intervention programs for prevention of adolescents' suicidal thought should also address problem drinking, cognitive depression, and cognitive stress.

액션러닝 교수설계에 의한 창의적 문제해결 교과의 학습성과 (Effects of an Action Learning based Creative Problem-Solving Course for Nursing Students)

  • Purpose:This study was conducted to identify the effects of an action learning based creative problem-solving (CPS) course on problem solving, creativity and team-member exchange in nursing students. Methods: A quasi-experimental study applying a non-equivalent control group pre-post design was employed. Sophomore nursing students (32 in the experimental group and 33 in the control group) were recruited from a university in G-city, Korea. Problem solving, creativity and team-member exchange were measured for the pretest and posttest using self-report questionnaires. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, Chi-square, Fisher's exact test, t-test, and ANCOVA with SPSS/Win 20.0 program were used to analyze the data. Results: The scores for problem solving, creativity and team-member exchange in the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group. Conclusion: Results of this study indicate that an action learning based CPS course is an effective teaching method to improve nursing students' competencies. In the future longitudinal studies are needed to assess the long term effects of the course.

부모양육태도와 자아존중감 및 또래애착이 정서문제에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Parenting Attitude, Self-esteem and Peer Attachment on Emotion Problem)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Parenting Attitude, Self-esteem, and Peer Attachment on Emotion Problem. The study is based on data from first wave of 'Korean Child Youth Panel Survey 2010(KCYPS)' and the subjects of this survey were 2,098 1st grade junior middle school students. To measure the variables, this study used such scales as the parenting attitude scale, self-esteem scale, and peer attachment scale and emotional problem scale. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation and structural equation modeling analysis. Results of structural equation modeling with data indicated that hypothesized structural equation model produced a good fit but, no direct effect between negative parenting attitude and peer attachment. The self-esteem have mediating effect between parenting attitude and peer attachment, emotion problem. The peer attachment have mediating effect between positive parenting attitude and emotion problem but, did not have mediating effect between negative parenting attitude and emotion problem. The implications for counseling and suggestions for future research are discussed.

필드 고장 요약 데이터를 활용한 미래 고장수의 예측 (Predicting the future number of failures based on the field failure summary data)

  • 기업은 종종 과거의 필드 고장 데이터를 이용하여 미래에 필드에서 고장이 얼마나 일어날 것인지 예측한다. 특히 이런 예측은 필드에서 예기치 않던 고장모드 (failure mode)가 발견될 때 더욱 하고 싶어진다. 왜냐하면 기업은 이런 예측을 통해 미래에 품질보증 비용이 얼마나 될 것인지 파악하고, 고장 난 부품을 재빨리 수리하는데 필요한 여유 부품의 수를 파악하고 싶기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 기업에서 생길 수 있는 요약 데이터를 사용하여 미래 필드에서 고장이 얼마나 발생할 것인지 예측하고, 이런 요약 데이터이외에 또 어떤 데이터가 생길 수 있으며 이때 분석결과가 어떻게 나올 수 있는지 알아본다.

Mathematics across the Curriculum: Educational Reform as a Problem Solving Activity

  • This paper is intended to document the development of the Mathematics across the Curriculum (MAC) movement, following a mathematics problem solving model. Of course, just as new, related problems often arise after we have completed the solution of a current mathematics problem, so too, many questions remain regarding the future of MAC. Although preliminary assessments have been favorable, no broad-based evaluation of the impact of MAC has been conducted. To what extent has the promise of increased student understanding of mathematics and its connections to other disciplines been realized? What can be done to overcome logistical obstacles preventing instructors from working together in real schools settings? Are changes in institutional culture and relationships among academics merely transitory? Is the development of a strong base of curricular materials forthcoming? In other words, will MAC reach a level of educational permanence, or ultimately be discarded as another interesting, but unmanageable instructional fad?
