  • This paper describes two contrasting approaches to group decision making involving multiple criteria. A compromise programming method and the analytic hierarchy process are analyzed and compared by using an illustrative example of a computer model selection problem to demonstrate their usefulness as a viable tool for group decision making. This paper further considers some extensions and modifications of there two methods for future study.

  • Reliability assurance problem is an important issue in advanced company with good R&D capacity. In Korea, long-term and large-scale project for reliability improvement and certification have been conducted from 2000, 4 years ago. Generally, assurance is composed of system assurance and lot assurance. For reliability lot assurance. it is prerequisite to development reliability sampling plan with time-saving and minimum cost. In this paper, we aim to investigate previous study on reliability lot assurance focused on reliability sampling plans and propose some suggestions for the future study.

  • In Korea, the number of railroad accidents is decreasing, but the scale of railroad accidents tend to be growing large. On considering the opening of the high speed railway in 2004, the problem of railroad safety is very important. The purpose of this study is to make plans for improving railroad safety of Korea. To make this plan, we generally analyzed the future railway traffic, and reviewed annual statistics of railroad accidents trend and case studies of foreign railway accidents.

  • The rebuilt and redevelopment projects conducted these days surely have invited overpopulation. Its one of the culprits is the municipal ordinances which allow the floor to site area ratio to increase from 200% to 400% in a decade and the adjacent distance ratio from 1.25 to 0.8 times of height of building. Possible solutions for the overpopulation problem are as below. - The floor to site area ratio should be regulated adaptively according to various regional localities. - Draw back the capital gains coming from a rebuilding project For evaluation process; - Select a suitable plan from plurality of proposals - Gradually encourage projects towards remodeling system in the near future

  • Vehicle fleet planning problem is generic name given to a whole class of practical decision making problems which find the vehicle routes and schedules to accomplish the reqired service to customers using vehicles. In this paper the various problems are classified into the three groups according to their characteristics: (1) vehicle routing problems, (2) vehicle scheduling problems, and (3) vehicle routing and scheduling problems. The State of the art of each group is described and the future research directions are presented.

  • In year 2004 korea runs high speed train KTX for the 5th time in the world. And now the traction power system is quite stabilized. But still a lot of work to develop and abnormal voltage problem is one of them. In this paper, by actual measuring we have collected the abnormal data on the high speed train sub-staion for more than 15 days. The collected data has been evaluated. In the near future collected data will be used planing a countermeasure.

  • We investigate the optimal consumption and investment decision problem of an agent whose time preference is time-inconsistent. Specifically, for a time-separable utility function, the agent's subjective discount factor is supposed to be changed randomly in the future. We provide closed-form solutions in the presence of income process. The method can be extended into the case with a stochastic income process.

Artificial intelligence (AI)-powered ICT convergence services are expected to greatly help in overcoming these social challenges. Accordingly, we have derived key promising services (AI+x) in terms of individuals, industries, and countries and identified expectations and threats perceived by the general public. These findings provide policies and research directions for promising AI-based ICT convergence services for social goods.

  • Due to the development of CRISPR technology, the era of effective editing of target genes has arrived. However, the off-target problem that occurs when recognizing target DNA due to the inherent nature of CRISPR components remains the biggest task to be overcome in the future. In this review, the principle of inducing such unintended off-target editing is analyzed from the structural aspect of CRISPR, and the methodology that has been developed to reduce off-target editing until now is summarized.

  • Computational Thinking(CT) is drawing attention as a core competency required for future talent in the 21st century. Software education for improving CT ability at home and abroad is in full swing. Among them, problem-solving programming education helps to improve CT ability. The CT-TDPS learning model follows the decomposition, abstraction thinking process, which modularizes complex problems, and the Agile development method, which is an iterative and incremental programming method to implement it. In this study, we tried to confirm the improvement of CT ability by applying CT-TDPS learning model to problem solving programming education using Scratch. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that in the problem solving programming education using the CT-TDPS learning model, it improved in all aspects of computing concept, computing performance, and computing perspective, which are sub-factors of CT ability. In addition, it was confirmed that there was a significant difference in the experimental group as a result of the t-test on the Dr.Scratch automatic evaluation result.
