M-Space를 이용한 자동 주차를 위한 주차 경로 생성 (Motion Planning of the Car-like Vehicle in the Parking Space by the Motion Space)

  • Automatic parking assist system is one of the key technologies of the future automobiles. Control problem of a car-like vehicle is not easy due to the nonholonomic constraints. In this paper, a practical solution for planning a car-parking path is proposed according to the proposed motion space (M-space) approach. The M-space is the extension of the conventional configuration space (C-space). A collision-free, nonholonomic feasible path can be directly computed by the M-space conversion and a back-propagation of reachable regions from the goal. The proposed planning scheme provide not a single solution, but also a candidate solution set, therefore, optimization of the parking path can be easily carried out with respect to performance criteria such as safety, maneuvering, and so on. Presented simulation results clearly show that the proposed scheme provides various practical solutions.

  • 최근 기술의 발전과 더불어 자율주행 자동차가 상용화가 되어 가고 있다. 하지만 자율주행 자동차에 대한 사고가 발생하고 있어 자율주행 자동차의 안전성 문제가 화두가 되고 있다. 또한, 현재 명확한 법률과 보안윤리에 대한 구체적인 가이드라인이 정해져 있지 않는 문제점이 있다. 이러한 가이드라인이 정해지려면 많은 정보와 경험이 필요하다. 본 연구는 과거에서 현재까지 사고 사례를 바탕으로 기본적으로 시나리오 기반의 모델을 정한다. 본 연구는 미래 자율주행 자동사 사고 시 보안윤리에 대한 사고 시나리오 사례를 통한 보안 고려 요소에 대한 모델을 제안 한다.

Smart Pricing in Action: The Case of Asset Pricing for a Rent-a-Car Company

  • The Internet enables businesses to acquire a great deal of information, including prices in the open markets. In this study, we investigate what the value of reference price information is to a company in the market and how the company can make use of such information. Using business analytics, we were able to estimate prices of used cars for a rent-a-car company. The results show that a smart pricing information system is useful for collecting online reference price information and for estimating future prices of used cars and rental prices.

미래형 공동주택의 청년계층 카셰어링 이용수요 분석 (Estimating Car-sharing Demand of Young People for Parking-Free Apartment House in the Future)

  • 공유교통서비스로 상징되는 카셰어링은 청년층을 중심으로 자동차에 대한 인식을 변화시키고 있다. 미래에 공유교통 서비스가 자율주행자동차와 결합하면 공유교통 서비스가 갖는 접근성 문제를 해소 할 수 있으며, 더 나아가 개인 승용차를 위한 주차장을 없애고, 카셰어링 서비스에 기반을 둔 미래형 공동주택 모델도 구상할 수 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 미래형 공동 주택 모델의 주요 입주 대상을 청년계층으로 설정하고, 이들의 카셰어링 이용수요 예측과 카셰어링 차량의 통행 처리 효율을 도출하였다. 또한 청년계층이 주로 거주하는 9개 행복주택단지를 선정하여 통행수요를 조사하기 위한 설문조사를 수행하였다. 분석결과 청년계층의 카셰어링 이용 특성과 수요는 수도권과 비수도권에 따라 뚜렷이 구분되었다. 수도권에서는 1일 약 1회, 1회 대여 시 평균 80분 정도 이용하였으며, 8~12시의 오전 시간에 이용하는 경향이 강했다. 반면 비수도권에서는 1일 약 2회, 1회 대여 시 약 200분 이상 장시간 이용하였다. 또한 8~10시의 오전 시간에 집중하기는 했지만, 오후와 저녁 시간에도 이용수요가 높았다. 카셰어링의 통행 처리 효율은 수도권에서는 차량 당 3~4통행, 비수도권에서는 차량 당 2통행 정도로 수도권이 보다 높은 것으로 나타났다.

  • Globally, many researchers have been trying to improve the fuel economy of a vehicle for satisfying future $CO_2$ regulation and minimizing air pollution problem. For the same background, diesel engine and vehicle system optimization using simulation models have been key technologies for the improvement of vehicle system efficiency. Therefore, in this study, calibration method for the air breathing system of a WGT diesel engine using mean value model has been composed for efficient engine and vehicle optimization simulation researches. And virtual WGT performances have been calculated for a 2 cylinder downsized diesel engine system. From these researches, the calibration method for the boost pressure and EGR rate of a virtual diesel engine related with WGT performances could be composed and some of technical issue related with downsized diesel engine could be investigated.

  • In automotive engineering, the brand sound is one of the important advantage strategy in a car company. For the design of brand sound, the selection of descriptive word for a car sound is one of major works in automotive sound quality research. In paper, booming sound and rumbling sound, which are professional words used by NVH engineers are used for the design of brand sound. We employed sound metrics which are the subjective parameter used in psychoacoustics. According to most research results, the relationship between subjective evaluations and sound metrics has nonlinear characteristics and is very complex. In order to link these subjective evaluations to sound metrics, the artificial neural network technology has been applied to two-dimensional sound quality index for a passenger car. These indexes is used for 46 passenger cars, which are samples of famous cars in the world. Also the preference in car sounds is evaluated by the trained NVH engineers. We coupled this preference with booming and rumbling sounds by using artificial neural network. In future, the two -dimensional sound index and preference index are very useful fur the development of brand sound in passenger cars.

  • A Study has been conducted on the characteristics of temperature variation depending on passenger number that is measured in Bundang Line(From Sunleng To Bojong). As a basic study, the air quality of passenger room for the electric rail car is evaluated. Although ISO7730 recommends that the height of measuring points for the heat environment is to set at 0.1m, 0.6m, 1.1m and 1.7m respectively, temperature are measured at two points at 1.1m and 1.7m because of the difficulty to measure temperature of 0.1m height in rush hour. We compared the results of temperature variations between two stations in rush hour(07:56-08:41). In general, the capacity of a passenger car is designed for 160 persons, but over 280 persons often board on electric rail in rush hour. The temperature of room is adjusted from $22^{\circ}C$ to $24^{\circ}C$, but it is measured from $26^{\circ}C$ to $28^{\circ}C$ on average. Therefore, it shows that there are difference between the set temperature and measured one. This article suggests the ways of the time adjusting and air-conditioning to satisfy customer's demand and the guide line to design the optimum capacity of air-conditioner of the new electric rail car which will be introduced in the near future.

Research on improvement of law for invigorating autonomous vehicle

  • The Korean government announced its goal of commercializing autonomous vehicle by year 2020. With such changes, it is expecting to decrease car accident mortality by half. To commercialize autonomous car, not only worries on safety of autonomous vehicle has to be solved but at the same time, institutional system has to be clear to distinguish legal responsibilities in case of accident. This paper will present the legal improvement direction of the introduction of autonomous vehicles as follows. First, it is necessary to re-establish concept of 'driver' institutionally. Second, it is appropriate to focus on Level 3 autonomous vehicle which is about to be commercialized in year 2020 and organize legal responsibility. Third, we should have a clear understanding on how level 3 autonomous vehicle will be commercialized in the future. Fourth, it is necessary to revise The Traffic Law, Act on Special Cases concerning the Settlement of Traffic Accident, and Automobile Accident Compensation Security Law in line with level 3 autonomous vehicle. Fifth, it is necessary to review present car insurance system. Sixth, present Product Liability Law is limited to movable products (Article 2), however, it is necessary to include intangible product which is software. Seventh, we should review on making special law related to autonomous car including civil, criminal, administrative, and insurance perspectives.

  • 최근 들어, 사람들의 삶의 질을 향상시키기 위해 유비쿼터스 기술을 활용한 서비스들이 다양하게 제공되고 있다. 다양한 서비스 중에서도 특히 교통분야에서는 유비쿼터스 기술 활용이 두드러지게 이루어지고 있는 분야이다. 본 연구에서는 유비쿼터스 기술을 활용한 교통 서비스 중에서도 차량 추적 관리 서비스에 관련하여 비즈니스 모델과 비즈니스 프로세스를 파악하고자 한다. 이를 위해 차량 추적 관리서비스에 대한 정의를 살펴보고 난 후 이를 기반으로 비즈니스 모델을 도출하기 위한 세부 추적관리 서비스를 파악하였다. 연구 결과, 차량 추적관리 서비스에서 2개의 대표 서비스를 도출하였고 도출된 세부 서비스의 이해관계자, 수익자, 수익가치 모델을 도출하여 유비쿼터스를 활용한 U-차량추적관리 서비스의 비즈니스 모델을 파악하였다.
