기계적 밀링법으로 제조된 마그네슘 분말의 밀링시간에 따른 미세구조 변화와 부식거동 (Corrosion Behavior and Microstructural Evolution of Magnesium Powder with Milling Time Prepared by Mechanical Milling)

  • In this study, the relationship between corrosion resistance and microstructural characteristics such as grain size reduction, preferred orientation, and homogenous distribution of elements and impurity by mechanical milling of magnesium powder was investigated. Mechanical milling of pure magnesium powder exhibited a complex path to grain refinement and growth together with preferred orientation reversal with milling time. It was also found that anisotropic formation of dislocation on the basal plane of magnesium was initially the dominant mechanism for grain size reduction. After 60 hrs of milling, grain coarsening was observed and interpreted as a result of the strain relaxation process through recrystallization. In spite of the finer grain size and strong (002) texture developed in the sample prepared by spark plasma sintering at $500^{\circ}C$ for 5 min after mechanical milling for 2hrs, the sample showed a higher corrosion rate. The results from this study will be helpful for better understanding of the controlling factor for corrosion resistance and behaviors of mechanical milled magnesium powders.

중첩된 알루미늄 5052 합금판재의 전기저항가열 마찰교반점용접에 관한 연구 (Electric Resistance Heated Friction Stir Spot Welding of Overlapped Al5052 Alloy Sheets)

  • Electric resistance spot welding has been used to join overlapped steel sheets in automotive bodies. Recently to reduce weight in automotive vehicles, non-ferrous metals are being used or considered in car bodies for hoods, trunk lids, doors parts, etc. Various welding processes such as laser welding, self-piercing rivet, friction stir welding are being used. In the current study, a new electric resistance heated friction stir spot welding is suggested for the spot welding of non-ferrous metals. The welding method can be characterized by three uses of heat -- electric resistance heating, friction stir heating and conduction heating of steel electrodes -- for the fusion joining at the interfacial zone between the two sheets. The welding process has variables such as welding current, diameter of the steel electrodes, revolutions per minute (rpm) of the friction stir pin, and the insert depth of the stir pin. In order to obtain the optimal welding variables, which provide the best welding strength, many experiments were conducted. From the experiments, it was found that the welding strength could be reached to the required production value by using an electrode diameter of 10mm, a current of 7.6kA, a stirring speed of 400rpm, and an insert depth of 0.8mm for the electric resistance heated friction stir spot welding of 5052 aluminum 1.5mm sheets.

  • Magnesium material could be widely used in the automotive industry because of its high strength to weight ratio, but the electric resistance spot welding process of magnesium sheets is difficult because of its low electric resistance and high thermal conduction and thermal expansion. For this reason, an electric resistance surface friction spot welding process using rotating dies is suggested for the spot welding of magnesium metal sheets. This welding method can be characterized by three heating methods: (1) electric resistance heating on contacted surface, (2) surface friction heating by rotating dies, and (3) thermal conduction heating from heated steel electrodes, for the fusion of metal at the interfacial zone between the two magnesium sheets. This welding process also has variables to explore, such as welding currents, diameters of the steel electrode, and rotating dies. It was found that the welding strength could reach industrial requirements by applying a welding current of 11.0kA, with steel electrodes of 12mm diameter, with rotating dies of 4.4 mm diameter, under the condition of a revolution speed of 1200rpm of rotating dies, for the surface friction spot welding process of AZ31 magnesium alloy sheets of 1.4mm thickness.

  • Ferritic stainless steels, which have relatively small thermal expansion coefficient and excellent corrosion resistance, are increasingly being used in vehicle manufacturing, in order to increase the lifetime of exhaust manifold parts. But, there are limits on use because of the problem related to cosmetic resistance, corrosions of condensation and high temperature salt etc. So, Aluminum-coated stainless steel instead of ferritic stainless steel are utilized in these parts due to the improved properties. In this investigation, Al-8wt% Si alloy coated 409L ferritic stainless steel was used as the base metal during Gas Tungsten Arc(GTA) welding. The effects of coated layer on the microstructure and hardness were investigated. Full penetration was obtained, when the welding current was higher than 90A and the welding speed was lower than 0.52m/min. Grain size was the largest in fusion zone and decreased from near HAZ to base metal. As welding speed increased, grain size of fusion zone decreased, and there was no big change in HAZ. Hardness had a peak value in the fusion zone and decreased from the bond line to the base metal. The highest hardness in the fusion zone resulted from the fine re-precipitation of the coarse TiN and Ti(C, N) existed in the base metal during melting and solidification process and the presence of fine $Al_2O_3$ and $SiO_2$ formed by the migration of the elements, Al and Si, from the melted coating layer into the fusion zone.

  • In this paper, we used only PR as etching mask, while it used usually Cr/AU as etching mask, and in order to fabricate a photosensor has the increased sensitivity, we investigated on the sensitivity of general type and p-i-n type diode. we designed microchannel size width max 10um, min 5um depth max 10um, reservoir size max 100um, min 2mm. Fabrication of microfluidic devices in glass substrate by glass wet etching methods and glass to glass fusion bonding. The p-i-n diode has higher sensitivity than photodiode, Considering these results, we fabricated p-i-n diodes on the high resistive(4㏀$.$cm) wafer into rectangle and finger pattern and compared internal resistance of each pattern. The internal resistance of pin diode can be decreased by the application of finger pattern has parallel resistance structure from 571Ω to 393Ω.

  • 본 실험의 목적은 starch의 alcohol발효에 있어서 전분의 $\alpha$-1.4 linkage을 분해하여 alcohol발효를 하는 S diastaticus와 전분 중의 $\alpha$-1.4, $\alpha$-1.6 linkage를 모두 분해할 수 있는 C. tropicalis 간의 이속간의 protoplast fusion을 시켰다. 이때 세포 융합의 빈도는 $10^{-5}$-$10^{-6}$이였으며, 이틀 융합체중 amylase 생성능과 유전적으로 안정한 융합체를 분리하였다. fusant의 성질을 조사하기 위하여 탄소원 자화능을 조사한바 parent와 달리 탄소원 자화능이 일부 보완됨을 보였고 또한 fusant는 원 parent보다 세포의 크기가 클 뿐만아니라, DNA함량도 많았다. spore형성능은 S. diastaticus A4는 spore를 형성하나 C. tropicalis는 형성할 수 없는 반면에 fusant는 형성하였고, Cu$^{++}$ 내성과 NaCl 내염성도 조사하였는데 fusant는 parent의 중간 성질을 가졌다. Fusant의 증식율을 조사하기 위하여 생육도를 조사한 결과 Parent보다 유도기가 길었음을 알았다.

PLGA 미립구가 함유된 젤란검 스폰지를 이용한 추간판 조직 재생 (Regeneration of Intervertebral Disc Using Gellan Sponge Loading PLGA Microspheres)

  • 젤란검은 천연재료로써 내열성, 내산성, 내효소성 등이 우수하여 용도가 광범위하나 기계적 강도가 약하다는 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 기계적 성질을 개선하고자 젤란검 스폰지에 PLGA 미립구를 혼합하였다. PLGA 미립구의 다양한 함량의 젤란검 스폰지는 기계적 강도를 알아보고자 압축강도를 측정하였고, MTT 분석, SEM, 생체활성조직학적 평가 및 RT-PCR을 통해 세포의 증식 및 ECM 분비 효과를 확인하였다. 그 결과, PLGA 미립구가 50% 함유된 젤란검 지지체에서 섬유륜세포의 꾸준한 증식과 세포외기질 분비가 우수한 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이 연구를 통하여 PLGA 미립구가 함유된 젤란검이 디스크조직 재건을 위한 지지체로서 적합함을 알 수 있었으며, 젤란검의 다양한 응용가능성을 제시하였다.

열간압연 클래드강의 맞대기용접부 내식성 및 용접성 평가 (Evaluation of Corrosion Resistance and Weldability for the Butt Welding Zone of Hot Rolled Clad Steel Plates)

  • We have investigated the traits of clad metals in hot-rolled clad steel plates, including the sensitization and mechanical properties of STS 316 steel plate and carbon steel (A516), under various specific circumstances regarding post heat treatment, multilayered welds, and thick or repeated welds for repair. For evaluations, sectioned weldments and external surfaces were investigated to reveal the degree of sensitization by micro vickers hardness, tensile, and etching tests the results were compared with those of EPR tests. The clad steel plates were butt-welded using FCAW and SAW with the time of heat treatment as the variable, a that was conducted at $625^{\circ}C$, for 80, 160, 320, 640, and 1280 min. Then, the change in corrosion resistance was evaluated in these specimens. With carbon steel (A516), as the heat treatment time increased, the annealing effect caused the tensile strength to decrease. The micro-hardness gradually increased and decreased after 640 min. The elongation and contraction of the area also increased gradually. The oxalic acid etch test and EPR test on STS316 and the clad metal showed STEP structure and no sensitization. From the test results on multi-layered and repair welds, it could be concluded that there is no effect on the corrosion resistance of clad metals. The purpose of this study was to suggest some considerations for developing on-site techniques to evaluate the sensitization of stainless steels.

저항 점 용접을 이용한 AISI 316 스테인레스강과 용융아연도금 강판의 이종접합 (Resistance Spot Welding of Dissimilar Materials of Austenitic Stainless Steels and IF (Interstitial Free) Steels)

  • The spot weldability of dissimilar metal joints between stainless steels (AISI316) and interstitial free (IF) steels were investigated. This study was aimed to determine the spot welding parameters for a dissimilar metal joint and to evaluate the dissimilar metal joint's weldability, including its welding nugget shape, tensileshear strength, hardness, and microstructure. The fracture surface was investigated by using a Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). The experimental results showed that the shape of nugget was asymmetric, in which the fusion zone of the STS316 sheet was larger due to the higher bulk-resistance. The microstructure of the fusion zone was fully martensite. In order to evaluate the microstructure further, dilution of stainless steels were calculated and imposed onto the Schaeffler diagram. The predicted microstructure from the Schaeffler diagram was martensite. In order to confirm the predicted microstructure, XRD measurements were carried out. The results showed that that initial weld nugget was composed of austenite and martensite.

핵융합로용 저방사화 철강재료(RAFs)의 크리프 특성평가 (Evaluation on Creep properties of Reduced Activation Ferritic Steel(RAFs) for Nuclear Fusion Reactor)

  • Reduced Activation Ferritic/Martenstic (RAFs) are leading candidates for structural materials of D-T fusion reactor. One of The RAFs, JLF-1 (9Cr-2W-V, Ta) has been developed and proved to have good resistance against high-fluency neutrino irradiation and good phase stability. Recently, in order to clarify the strengthening mechanical at high temperature, a new scheme to improve high temperature mechanical properties is desired. Therefore, the creep properties and creep life prediction by Larson-Miller Parameter method for JLF-1 to be used for fusion reactor materials or other high temperature components were presented at the elevated temperatures of $500^{\circ}C$, $550^{\circ}C$, $600^{\circ}C$, $650^{\circ}C$ and $704^{\circ}C$. It was confirmed experimentally and quantitatively that a creep life predictive e벼ation at such various high temperatures was well derived by LMP.
