The purpose of this study is to systematically examine fusion phenomenon in the cultural aspect aiming to grasp the characteristics of fusion phenomenon, which has a steady impact on fashion trend. A reason for fusion to be noted as a cultural code is because diversely cultural interpretations are impossible from one viewpoint. Therefore, it is aimed to inquire into the characteristics of fusion culture, which is one phenomenon of newly mass culture, and to examine which cultural fusion phenomenon in modern fashion is being displayed in fashion design. First, the culturally fusion phenomenon, which was indicated in modern fashion, is displayed as repetition. The fusion, which integrates into fashion as a cultural code, is a trend of pursuing the experience with different culture. The needs of consumers are shown as fusion fashion that repeatedly uses the traditional detail and the modern detail through cultural repetition. Second, it is displayed as transformation. A concept of fusion is not the simple aggregate in [1+1=2], but the creation of new culture called [1+1=1]. In modern fashion, the cultures in the East and the West are harmoniously transformed, and through transformation, each culture is being compressively delivered. Third, it is displayed as interdependency. The fusion fashion which was newly re-interpreted while having reciprocal influence upon mutual culture, is re-interpreted by forming the equal relationship in heterogeneous elements without destroying fashion that was made previously.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the fusion phenomenon that appears in contemporary women's denim fashion in order to find a way to come up with a creative denim design. The methodology of this study is to research documents related to fusion phenomena and consider precedent studies to establish a criteria for analyzing fusion phenomena. The results are as follows: First, fusion phenomena in modern women's denim can be categorized into fusion of time, fusion of space, fusion of gender, fusion of culture, and fusion of genre. Fusion of time appears as fusion with the past and fusion with the future. Fusion of space appears as fusion with Asia and fusion with other regions. Fusion of gender appears as unisex, androgynous, and genderless. Fusion of culture appears as fusion with subcultures such as grunge, kidult, lingerie, hippy look, hip hop fashion, etc. Finally, fusion of genre appears as fusion of materials, fusion of style, and fusion of circumstances. Second, when analyzing the frequency of appearance for fusion phenomena, fusion of culture appeared with a frequency of 29.7%, followed by fusion of genre with 19.1%, fusion of time with 10.5%, fusion of gender with 9.9%, and fusion of space with 8.5%. When analyzing the most frequently appearing fusion phenomena by year, fusion of culture appeared the most from the year 2000 to 2004, fusion of space and time in 2005, fusion of genre from 2006 to 2007, fusion of culture again in 2008 and 2009, and once more fusion of genre appeared the most in 2010.

Retro, one of these fusion styles, was found in various pattern in fashion. Recent fashion trend shows coexistence with variety which cannot be represent by one or two themes, and introduces various images in a season. Therefore, this study was found three fusion image of Retro pattern which has appeared since 1990; Romantic, Ethnic, and Hippie-look. shown in VOGUE, BAZZAR and etc. 1, Romantic image overcame the exaggerated style of 18th century and expressed in a volume gown, a tight dress of high-waist, and bustier. In addition, beads or sequin became more brilliant and gorgeous which decorated the whole clothing. 2. Ethnic image was expressed with fusion of particular traits from all of the world such as Japan, China, India, South America, Greece, and Africa. 3. Hippie-look image has been shown in slim & long silhouette style, and fusion styles of romantic factors or ethnic factors were also found. Retro as one of the phenomenon of fusion was found in romantic image, ethnic image and hippie-look Image.

A novel multifocus image fusion algorithm based on NSCT is proposed in this paper. In order to not only attain the image focusing properties and more visual information in the fused image, but also sensitive to the human visual perception, a local multidirection variance (LEOV) fusion rule is proposed for lowpass subband coefficient. In order to introduce more visual saliency, a modified local contrast is defined. In addition, according to the feature of distribution of highpass subband coefficients, a direction vector is proposed to constrain the modified local contrast and construct the new fusion rule for highpass subband coefficients selection The NSCT is a flexible multiscale, multidirection, and shift-invariant tool for image decomposition, which can be implemented via the atrous algorithm. The proposed fusion algorithm based on NSCT not only can prevent artifacts and erroneous from introducing into the fused image, but also can eliminate 'block effect' and 'frequency aliasing' phenomenon. Experimental results show that the proposed method achieved better fusion results than wavelet-based and CT-based fusion method in contrast and clarity.

Being called 'the period of diversity', the 21st century is taking on a new aspect which is different from the past where a certain phenomenon of a specific area was prescribed as one representative icon of a period. In particular, the globalization culture acted as the catalyst to accept such diversity and it appeared as a new culture code, 'fusion' throughout society and culture. Especially, unlike two-hour movies, the recent drama $\lceil$Gung$\rfloor$ showed various fusion style costume over a period of three months and created a sensation of fusion style costume. Therefore, this study is aimed at investigating fusion style costume by selecting the TV drama $\lceil$Gung$\rfloor$ which was on the air in 2006. Though various studies on fusion style costume, which is becoming a new culture code, have been conducted, this study is meaningful in that it's time to conduct a new study through a popular TV drama. Based on preceding studies on fusion style, the elements of fusion style were analyzed by capturing the most frequently exposed heroine's costume, and new design development introducing fusion elements was attempted for empirical studies. The study results are as follows. First, it was found that the fusion trend is a culture code which already spread to the public and is shown in the fashion in various ways. Second, the drama $\lceil$Gung$\rfloor$, is commented as a new dram which introduced the fusion style costume into Korea through a modern version of constitutional monarchy and is commented as a medium which created an interest in the fusion costume among the public as well. Third, new trend elements of the fusion style could be derived through empirical studies by design development.

Application field of neutron beam is very broad including industry, medicine and science. But the research and development and use of neutron beam is restricted within in narrow limits in this country, because neutron beam facility is insufficient - a big research facility of nuclear reactor(HANARO) and some small industrial facilities which use radioisotope neutron source are available. This paper compare and investigate the results of experiment and numerical analysis of the discharge in the spherically convergent beam fusion device which were expected as a portable neutron source. The spherically convergent beam fusion device will offer stability in neutron production, possibility of movement for convenience, low construction cost and higher neutron flux than radioisotope neutron source. The star mode discharge which efficiently generate neutron, were observed at both results.

In recent years when the importance of public communication is more emphasized, it has to be noticed that we are now living in the public-initiated age of rhetoric resulted from rapid development of broadcast media. Therefore, the purpose of this treatise is to examine the structural characteristics in the fusion design in order to anaylize the rhetorical expressions as symbols of communication. One of those is intertextuality that expresses metaphorically by bleding and borrowing codes and another is hypertextual space where various texts twines around each other making brand-new and diverse organizations, as the combined allegory with a number of hidden expression. The fusion design may be understood as the Intention to attract gaze to visual messages and as the rhetorical expressions based on compounding aesthetic codes by producing new cultural meanings. If fusion, a phenomenon which represents the 21st century, not a passing fad of cultural mixture, is ready to take the initiative, the design has to be groped for that creates a synergy effect.

The fusion is an anomalous union of two or more tooth germ at some stage in the development process resulting in a decreased number of teeth in the dental arch. Fusion is common odontogenic anomaly but triplication of primary teeth is a rare phenomenon. We report a case of a 3 - year - old girl who visited our clinic for the pain on maxillary anterior tooth. The patient was diagnosed by the fusion of a the maxillary primary right central and lateral incisor with a supernumerary tooth and caries of dentine. And then, Endodontic treatment and composite resin restoration were performed on the triple teeth. After follow-up of 6 months period, there was no marked complications.

These new Phenomenon influences with the new terminology 'fusion' on the way of our life in all areas of our society including the clothes and foods. Along with post-structuralism, which aims at diversification and senses deconstructionalism is a characteristic of this time post-structuralism is based upon the deconstructionalism. Especially the arts in the modern society which is called an information-oriented society lack the totality of a text and become fragmentary, and therefore it follows that traditional values are destroyed and at last a new code such as fusion which is incomprehensible if we would be in mono-linear perspective. Dislikes toward excessively formative and orthodox elements of modern pictures and constructs ; features of kitschs and subcultures against materialism are revealed in diverse objects and materialism. In such a situation of mingling of diversifications with no time to evaluate an object, another diverse forms come into the world and there is no room for evaluating. Therefore, this study will make a light on what are tendencies in the fashion design from the end of 20C to the beginning of 21C, and foreground the concept of fusion in modern fashion which is relevant with digitals and its generative background.

The authors report two cases of spontaneous regression of disc herniation at the level adjacent to the anterior lumbar interbody fusion (ALIF) level. This phenomenon may be due to the increased tension on the posterior longitudinal ligament (PLL) by appropriate restoration of the disc height and lumbar lordosis, which is a mechanism similar to ligamentotaxis applied to the thoracolumbar burst fracture.
