상백피로부터 분리한 면역세포 증식작용을 지닌 다당체 (Isolation of Lymphocyte Proliferating Polysaccharide from Mori Cortex Radicis)

  • Numerous efforts have been made to isolate immunologically active component from Mori Cortex Radicis, since it has been used in the treatment of bronchial asthma, and immune dis order in human. Recently, we reported the purification of an anti-allergic component of the Mori Cortex Radicis. Among the fractions we prepared in the previous study, a fraction was active in the proliferation of murine lymphocytes. The active component (HHM 3-1) was elucidated as a polysaccharade with a small amount of lignin. When it was subjected to MALDI-MS by using 3-hydroxypicolinic acid as a matrix, the molecular weight of the component was estimated as 792688.2dalton. Total hexose and protein content of the component were estimated as 62.6% and 0.51%, respectively and it was composed mainly of glucose, galactose and mannose. The remaining part of the component was estimated as ligin because of the characteristic functional groups in IR and UV spectra. Concomitant treatment of HHM 3-1 with known mitogens synergistically increased the proliferation of B-cells and T-cells.

최소절단집합과 최소경로집합을 이용한 구조 및 신뢰성 중요도 척도의 개발 및 적용 (Development and Implementation of Measures for Structural and Reliability Importance by Using Minimal Cut Sets and Minimal Path Sets)

  • The research discusses interrelationship of structural and reliability importance measures which used in the probabilistic safety assessment. The most frequently used component importance measures, such as Birnbaum's Importance (BI), Risk Reduction (RR), Risk Reduction Worth (RRW), RA (Risk Achievement), Risk Achievement Worth (RAW), Fussel Vesely (FV) and Critically Importance (CI) can be derived from two structure importance measures that are developed based on the size and the number of Minimal Path Set (MPS) and Minimal Cut Set (MCS). In order to show an effectiveness of importance measures which is developed in this paper, the three representative functional structures, such as series-parallel, k out of n and bridge are used to compare with Birnbaum's Importance measure. In addition, the study presents the implementation examples of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) metrics and alternating renewal process models with exponential distribution to calculate the availability and unavailability of component facility for improving system performances. System state structure functions in terms of component states can be converted into the system availability (unavailability) functions by substituting the component reliabilities (unavailabilities) for the component states. The applicable examples are presented in order to help the understanding of practitioners.

기능적/비기능적 요소를 고려한 GIS 컴포넌트 분류에 관한 연구 (A Study on GIS Component Classification considering Functional/Non-Functional Elements)

  • 최근 지리정보시스템은 국가단위의 대규모 응용 애플리케이션 개발 뿐만 아니라 시설물관리시스템과 같은 소규모 시스템에 이르기까지 그 규모가 다양하다. 또한 그 활용 분야도 경영정보시스템에서부터 카네비게이션시스템에 이르기까지 우리의 일상 생활에 다양한 모습으로 다가오고 있다. 이런 시점에서 짧은 시간 내에 효과적이고 유용하게 지리정보시스템을 개발하기 위해서는 GIS 컴포넌트의 개발방법론 뿐만 아니라, 이미 개발되어 사용되어지고 있는 GIS 컴포넌트의 관리측면에 대한 고려가 매우 절실한 실정이다. 현재 많은 GIS 컴포넌트가 그 상호운용성 및 질적면에서 탁월한 결과를 가지고 있지만, 저장소 내에서 검색의 비효율성으로 인해 재사용성의 많은 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 각 GIS 컴포넌트가 저장소 내에 위치하기 전에 이들의 기능적 및 비기능적 요소를 반영하여 컴포넌트를 분류하고자 하였다. 특히 비기능적 요소를 정의함에 있어서 컴포넌트의 메타데이터를 이용하여 'GIS content-dependent metadata'와 'GIS content-independent metadata'를 식별하였다. 그리고 이들 정보를 바탕으로 웹기반 GIS 컴포넌트의 등록 및 검색시스템을 설계하였다. 향후 GIS 애플리케이션 개발자는 웹기반 GIS 컴포넌트 저장소 내에 등록된 컴포넌트와 그 정보를 바탕으로 자신의 목적에 부합하는 새로운 컴포넌트를 쉽게 재구성하고 수정할 수 있으리라 사료된다. 결국 GIS 컴포넌트의 재사용성과 상호운용성을 높여 새로운 지리정보시스템 개발에 소요되는 인력 및 시간, 예산 절감의 효과를 얻을 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

Characterization of the Surface Contribution to Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy Measurements

  • Fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS) is a sophisticated and an accurate analytical technique used to study the diffusion of molecules in a solution at the single-molecule level. FCS is strongly affected by many factors such as the stability of the excitation power, photochemical processes, mismatch between the refractive indices, and variations in the cover glass thickness. We have studied FCS near the surface of a cover glass by using rhodamine 123 as a fluorescent probe and have observed that the surface has a strong influence on the measurements. The temporal autocorrelation of FCS decays with two characteristic times when the confocal detection volume is positioned near the surface of the cover glass. As the position of the detection volume is moved away from the surface, the FCS autocorrelation becomes one-component decaying; the characteristic time of the decay is the same as the faster-decaying component in the FCS autocorrelation near the surface. This observation suggests that the faster component can be attributed to the free diffusion of the probe molecules in the solution, while the slow component has its origin from the interaction between the probe molecules and the surface. We have characterized the surface contribution to the FCS measurements near the surface by changing the position of the detection volume relative to the surface. The influence of the surface on the diffusion of the probe molecules was monitored by changing the chemical properties of the surface. The surface contribution to the temporal autocorrelation of the FCS strongly depends on the chemical nature of the surface. The hydrophobicity of the surface is a major factor determining the surface influence on the free diffusion of the probe molecules near the surface.

콩의 종류 및 조리방법에 따른 단백질·아미노산 함량 변화 (Protein and Amino-acid Contents in Backtae, Seoritae, Huktae, and Seomoktae Soybeans with Different Cooking Methods)

  • Purpose: The objective of this study was to provide nutritional information (protein and amino-acid contents) of soybeans (Baktae, Seoritae, Huktae, and Seomoktae) with different cooking methods. Methods: Raw, boiled (in $100{\pm}15^{\circ}C$ of water for 4 hr), and fried (in a pan at $110{\pm}15^{\circ}C$ for $20{\pm}5min$) soybean samples were prepared. Contents of protein and amino acids were determined. Results: Protein content in raw Baktae, Seoritae, Huktae, and Seomoktae soybeans ranged from 361.0 to 386.8 mg/g. Protein contents differed according to cooking methods. They were higher in pan-fried beans (107.9-113.5%) than in raw or boiled soybeans (48.2-49.5%). A total of 18 amino acids were analyzed. Amino acid data sets were subjected to principle component analysis (PCA) to understand their differences according to soybean types and cooking methods. Bean samples could be distinguished better according to cooking method in comparison with bean types by principle component (PC1) and PC2. In particular, fried soybeans contained much higher levels of cystein. Other amino acids were the dominant in raw and boiled ones. On the other hand, the amounts of threonine, histidine, proline, arginine, tyrosine, lysine, tryptophan, and methionine were higher in raw bean samples than in cooked ones. Conclusion: The contents of amino-acids and proteins are more effected by different cooking methods in comparison with soybean types.

SysML을 활용한 기능안전 기반의 위험원 분석 방법 (On a Hazard Identification Method Based on Functional Safety and SysML)

  • The rapid growth of complexity and scale can be witnessed in the design and development of modern systems. As such, the severity of damages in the occasional accidents has attracted great deal of attention lately. Although a variety of methods have so far been studied to overcome or reduce the disastrous results of hazards, the issues seem still persistent and even complicated due to the situation mentioned above. The concept of functional safety has been regarded as one approach to handling the matters by shifting up to the functions level from the consideration of each physical component itself. The outcomes of those efforts would be the international standards on functional safety such as IEC 61508 and its relatives including IEC 62278, EN 50128, ISO26262, and so on. In this paper, a method of how hazards can be analyzed to be coped with those standards has been studied. In the method proposed, the systems modeling language (SysML) is playing a key role to model and analyze the hazards from the viewpoint of functional safety. The approach taken has been applied in the analysis of the hazards in railroad systems. In spite of focusing on the individual components hazards, the method based on functional safety has analyzed them collectively with the added effect of identifying the cause originated from the interface between the functions.

시판용 기능성 음료의 관능적 특성과 소비자 기호 유도 인자 (Sensory Characteristic and Drivers of Liking for Functional Beverages)

  • This study was conducted to understand sensory characteristics of commercial functional beverages, to analyze and the drivers of liking and disliking of it by Korean consumers. Descriptive analysis and consumer taste testing were conducted with ten commercial products of functional beverages. Samples were consisted of good for beauty, relieving hangovers, and health tonics. For the descriptive analysis, 45 attributes were developed by ten panelists and it shows differences among the all samples. For the consumer testing, 81 panels evaluated the overall liking, acceptance of appearance, odor, flavor, and texture of 10 samples. As a result, attributes of brightness, yellow color, Nurungji flavor, roasted bean power flavor, and milky texture of functional beverages were positive drivers of liking, but attributes of astringent texture, bitter taste, and viscosity were negative drivers of liking on the commercial functional beverages.

  • 로봇은 다양한 기능을 하는 기기들이 유기적으로 결합하여 동작한다. OPRoS (Open Platform for Robotic Services) 프레임웍은 여러 기관 및 개발자가 로봇에 탑재되는 부품을 컴포넌트 형태로 개발하여 자유롭게 결합시킬 수 있는 통합 개발 환경을 제공한다. 로봇의 신뢰성 있는 동작을 확보하기 위해 개발자는 또 다른 개발자가 만든 컴포넌트들과 상호 운용을 시험해야 한다. 이를 위해 가장 먼저, 개발된 컴포넌트와 의미 있는 결합을 할 수 있는 타 컴포넌트를 검색할 수 있어야 한다. 본 연구는 OPRoS 프레임웍이 제공하는 인터페이스에 의미를 부여하고 모델화 하여 의미 모델간의 매핑 기법으로 연계 가능한 타 컴포넌트를 검색할 수 있는 로봇 상호 운용성 평가 시스템을 제시한다.

건강기능식품의 시장현황 및 인삼시장의 전망 (Market Trend of Health Functional Food and the Prospect of Ginseng Market)

  • The health function food law has been carried into effect from January 31, 2004 just after the proposal of 'a draft of a proposed law concerning the health function foods for the promotion of a nation health' on November 29, 2000 in Korea. After enforcement of health functional food law, there have been difficult market penetration with overall stagnancy of business activities and the current of health functional food within the country divided two groups. In standardized health functional foods the present condition, nutrition supplementary products (938 items) and red ginseng products (351 items) are prevalent and total 32 products are registered containing lactobacilli (297 items), glucosamine (295 items), ginseng (182 items), yeast(136 items) so on. In 2005, five products (products containing green tea extract, soybean protein, plant sterol, fructooligo sugar and Monascus sp. products are newly notified and raw material or component of total 21 products containing xylitol, teanin extract, sardine peptide are recognized as individual authorized health functional foods. Efficacies of ginseng are studied in many-sided researches but benefits of the ginseng in the health functional food law limited to 3 items (staminaresume, immune enhancement, nourishment robustness). To enlarge functionalities of ginseng it needs raw material and ingredient approval through data application to Korea Food and Drug Administration and this procedure acts as barrier of the functional food development in the ginseng industry. It is necessary to develop the authorized health functional foods for leading health functional food market in the future.

객체지향 설계에서 정형명세를 이용한 컴포넌트 설계로의 변환 기법 (Techniques to Transform Object-oriented Design into Component-based Design Formal Specifications using Formal Specifications)

  • 재사용성과 확장성을 높이는 객체지향 개발이 보편화되면서 새로운 소프트웨어를 개발할 경우 기 개발되어 검증된 객체지향 산출물을 재사용함으로써 개발기간을 단축하고 품질을 향상할 수 있다. 이렇게 성능이 검증된 기 개발된 객체지향 산출물을 이용하여 컴포넌트 기반 모델로 변환하면 짧은 기간에 고품질의 컴포넌트 기반 시스템을 구축할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이미 개발되어 있는 객체지향 설계 모델을 이용하여 컴포넌트 기반 설계로 변환하되 변환의 정확성을 위해 정형명세 기법을 사용한다. 컴포넌트 기반 설계를 정형명세하기 위해 컴포넌트 정형명세 언어를 정의한다. 그리고 객체지향 설계의 정적, 동적, 기능적 측면을 정형명세 언어 Object-Z를 사용하여 정형명세하는 기법을 제시한 후, 객체지향 정형명세를 컴포넌트 정형명세로 변환하는 기법을 제시한다. 사례연구는 제시된 변환 기법을 적용하여 객체지향 정형명세가 컴포넌트 기반 정형명세로의 변환과정을 설명한다.
