편마비 환자의 밀기증후군 유무에 따른 기능 회복의 특성 (Characteristics of Functional Recovery in Hemiplegia with and without Pusher Syndrome)

  • A 'pusher syndrome' encompassing postural imbalance and hemi-neglect is believed to aggravate the prognosis of stroke patients. The patients with pusher syndrome show a particular posture that pushing away from the unaffected side of the body. The objective of this study was to investigate associated proprioception, associated neuro-psychological symptoms and characteristics of functional outcome with and without pusher syndrome. The subjects of this study were 58 acute stroke patients who been rehabilitated at two university hospitals in Seoul and Buchun. Data were collected using proprioception test and line bisection test. The ability of ADL was assessed by the Modified Barthel Index, transfer by the Functional Independence Measure, and balance by the Modified Motor Assessment Scale. The results were that significant difference was found in the presence of proprioception, in the incidence of hemineglect and anosognosia, and in the score of ADL, transfer and balance between patients with and without pusher syndrome. Patients without pusher syndrome gained more motor score than patients with pusher syndrome. From improvement of view, patients with pusher syndrome gained the lowest score in ability of transfer. The finding suggest that the patients with pusher syndrome is a poorer functional outcome, be related to proprioception, hemineglect and anosognosia.

Electrodeposited Ni-W-Si3N4 alloy composite coatings: Evaluation of Scratch test

  • In this study, $Ni-W-Si_3N_4$ alloy composite coatings were prepared by pulse electrodeposition method using nickel sulfate bath with different contents of tungsten source, $Na_2WO_4.2H_2O$, and dispersed $Si_3N_4$ nano particles. The structure and microstructure ofcoatings was separately analyzed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM). Results indicated that nano $Si_3N_4$ and W content in alloy had remarkable effect on microstructure, microhardness and scratch resistant properties. Tungsten content in Ni-W and $Ni-W-Si_3N_4$ alloy ranged from 7 to 14 at.%. Scratch test results suggest that as compared to Ni-W only, $Ni-W-Si_3N_4$ prepared from Ni/W molar ratio of 1:1.5 dispersed with 20 g/L $Si_3N_4$ has shown the best result among different samples.

한약 성분 함유 기능성 비누 가이아 1400의 족부 백선 개선에 대한 임상 연구 (A pilot test on the effects of improvement on Tinea pedis by using functional soap Gaia 1400, containing medicinal herbs)

  • Objectives : This clinical research was conducted to test Patients with Tinea Pedis by using functional soap Gaia 1400, containing medicinal herbs Methods : Total 24 patients who visited Oriental Medical Ophthalmology & Otolaryngology & Dermatology of Dongguk Ilsan Hospital from June 17th, 2008 to November 11th, 2008. They used functional soap daily during 8 weeks. We Observed change of erythema, scaling, vesicle, pustule, exudate, crust and pruritus after 4weeks and 8 weeks. Also Clinical evaluation I, II were used to evaluate the effects of Gaia 1400. Results : 1. There were no significant differences on sex, age and onset. 2. Statistically. After treatment(4,8weekes) Tinea Pedis symptoms score showed significant effect on Tinea Pedis. And the score of using Gala 1400 after 8 weeks is lower than 4 weeks. 3. After 8weeks of treatment, Gaia 1400 showed meaningful effect on Clinical global evaluation I, II. 4. Tinea Pedis Exacerbated in a case after using Gaia 1400 and in the 4 cases Skin dryness Incerased. Conclusion : Considering the above results, we can speculate that functional soap Gaia 1400, containing medicinal herb has some therapeutical effects in mitigating the symptoms of Tenia Pedis.

내분비요법 중인 폐경 전 유방암 환자의 디스트레스 영향 요인 (Factors Influencing Distress in Premenopausal Patients with Breast Cancer Undergoing Endocrine Therapy)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate relationships among menopausal symptoms, functional status, and distress and to identify factors influencing distress in premenopausal breast cancer patients who had been on endocrine therapy. Methods: A descriptive correlational study was conducted. Data were collected using questionnaires from 140 patients with breast cancer undergoing endocrine therapy at a general hospital. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Tukey HSD test, Pearson's correlation analysis and hierarchical regression analysis. Results: The mean scores for menopausal symptom, functional status, and distress were $19.65{\pm}7.86$, $2.67{\pm}0.33$ and $3.69{\pm}2.19$, respectively. The menopausal symptoms and distress were positively correlated (r=.76, p<.001). The menopausal symptoms and functional status (r=-.43, p<.001) and functional status and distress (r=-.31, p<.001) were negatively correlated. The most influential factor for distress was menopausal symptoms (${\beta}=.79$, p<.001). Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, developing nursing intervention programs focusing on decreasing menopausal symptoms and distress are recommended.

The Effects of Stretching and Strengthening Exercise on the Pain, Pelvic Tilt, Functional Disability Index, and Balance Ability of Patients with Chronic Lower Back Pain

  • Purpose: This study examined the effects of stretching and strengthening exercises on the pain, pelvic tilt (PT), functional disability, and balance of patients with chronic lower back pain (CLBP). Methods: A total of 42 patients with CLBP were randomly divided randomly into either experimental group I (EG I, n=21), who received stretching exercise, or experimental group II (EG II, n=21), who received strengthening exercise. Both interventions were applied three times a week for eight weeks. Assessments were made with a visual analogue scale (VAS), PT, Oswestry disability index (ODI), and Berg's balance scale (BBS) before and after the eight weeks intervention period. A paired t-test was conducted to compare the within-group changes before and after the intervention. An independent t-test was used compare the between-group difference. The statistical significance level was set to ${\alpha}=0.05$ for all variables. Results: The EG I and II showed significant within-group changes in the VAS, PT, ODI, and BBS (p<0.05). The changes in VAS, PT, ODI, and BBS were similar regardless of the exercise form. Conclusion: In this study, the application of stretching and strengthening exercise for subjects who complain of CLBP was effective in changing the level of pain, PT, functional disability, and balance.

Effects of Gym Ball Stabilization Exercises on the Physical Functions of Elementary School Baseball Players

  • Purpose: This study examined the effects of gym ball stabilization exercises on the physical functions of elementary school baseball players. Methods: The elementary school baseball players were assigned to an experimental group (n=21). The group performed gym ball stabilization exercises and the changes in the physical functions were measured using the visual response speed test, functional movements, physical balance ability, and pulmonary function. Results: The results of the visual response speed test showed changes in the time response speed. There was a significant change in the number of touches in 15 seconds in the upper arms and left and right legs (p<0.05) after 10 weeks. Also, there was a significant change in the reaction times of the left and right legs after 10 weeks (p<0.05). Further, there were significant differences in functional movements involving rotational stability and the total functional scores after 10 weeks (p<0.05). The player's body balance ability showed a significant difference after 10 weeks in the posterior-lateral and posterior-medial composite scores of the left and right legs (p<0.05). There was a significant change in the forced lung capacity and forced expiratory volume in 1 second after 10 weeks (p<0.05). Conclusion: These results show that the gym ball stabilization exercises effectively improved the visual response speed and functional movements, balance, and vital capacity of elementary school baseball players.

고기능성 거들의 착용감 및 착용효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Wearing Test of High Functional Girdle)

  • The purpose of this study is to offer basic data to manufacture superior girdle, by finding out wearing effect and wearing comfort after select high-functional Girdle and usual girdle on the market, and by analyzing the features of superior girdle in wearing effect and comfort. The results of this research are as follows : 1. As a result of surveying on the wearing feeling of girdle, the tightening effect of high-functional girdle was high. In particular. high-functional long type girdle was excellent as for tightening thigh, but usual girdle was excellent as for general comfortable feeling. In the Questions for comparison and evaluation, the frequency of high-functional long type girdle was highest. 2. As a result of examining the wearing comfort and effect of girdle by each type, the wearing effect of high-functional long type girdle was superior, and the wearing feeling of high-functional long type girdle was higher relatively than that of other types. But, from questions on comfortable feeling, the wearing feeling of usual long type girdle was superior. Generally, the wearing feeling and effect of high-functional long type girdle were superior, since the abdomen was pressed by high-waist type hard material and increased functionality such as attaching treatment to support hip and double treatment to tighten a thigh.

ISO/IEC 25023 소프트웨어 품질 특성 평가를 이용한 시험자간 비교시험에 관한 연구 (A Study on Proficiency Comparison Testing Between Testers Using ISO/IEC 25023 Software Quality Characteristics Evaluation)

  • 본 연구는 국제표준 ISO/IEC 25023 소프트웨어 품질 특성 평가를 이용하여 ISO/IEC 17043 숙련도 시험 요구 사항을 기준으로 시험자간 숙련도 시험의 결과를 비교 분석한 연구이다. 시험 분야 신청서는 KOLAS에서 정의하는 전기 시험 분야의 소프트웨어 시험으로 한국계량측정협회에 제출을 하였다. 시험자간 숙련도 시험 평가 항목은 국제표준인 ISO/IEC 25023 SW 품질 특성 중 기능 완전성과 시간 효율성으로 선정을 하였다. 시험자간 숙련도 비교 시험은 서울 소재의 LG전자 SW공인시험소에서 2019년 5월 28일에 KOLAS 평가사가 현장에 입회하여 실시되었다. 시험 평가 방법은 기능 완전성으로 시험자 1인당 1회 측정을 하였고 시간 효율성으로 시험자 1인당 10회를 반복 측정을 하였다. 시험의 수행 결과 기능 완전성의 경우는 12개의 시험 단계를 시험자들이 모두 통과하여 만족으로 평가되었다. 시간 효율성은 10회 반복 측정한 평균 결과 시험자 1과 3은 9.45 ± 0.01 초, 시험자 2는 9.52 ± 0.0 초로 나타났으나 통계적으로 유의하게 차이가 없었다. 결론적으로 시험자들의 숙련도는 동등하였으며 해당 시험기관 시험 결과의 신뢰성을 확인할 수 있었다.

후방 십자 인대 단독 손상 환자의 기능적 분석 (Functional analysis of isolated posterior cruciate ligament deficient subjects)

  • 목적: 후방 십자 인대 손상 환자의 포괄적 기능적 검사를 시행한 후 동일 조건의 정상인과 비교 분석함으로써 생체 내의 보상기전을 알아보고 향후 치료에 유용한 지침을 개발하는데 있다. 연구대상 및 방법: 10명의 후방 십자 인대 손상 환자와 10명의 정상 대조군을 대상으로 운동 범위, 후방 전위 검사, KT-1000을 이용한 후방 전위 검사, 텔로스 스트레스 및 30도 굴곡 전 체중 부하 방사선 검사, 보행 분석, 근전도 검사, 등 운동성 근력 검사 등을 시행하였다. 결과: 이학적, KT-1000, 텔로스 후방 전위 검사에서는 양군 간에 의미 있는 차이를 보였으나 30도 굴곡 전 체중 부하 방사선검사, 굴곡 및 신전건의 근력 검사에서는 차이가 없었다. 보행 시 후방십자인대 결손 군은 초기 착지 시 슬관절 굴곡을 더 적게 하고 입각기 시 슬관절 최대 외반 관성력은 감소하였다(p=0.027). 수직 착지 시 초기 접촉이 일어나는 순간 더 큰 족저 굴곡을 보이므로(p=0.014) 슬관절의 하중 부담을 감소시켰고(p=0.020) 근전도 검사 및 근력에서는 유의한 차이가 없었다. 결론: 후방 십자 인대 손상 후 환자들은 슬관절의 불안정 요소를 줄이고 충격을 최대로 흡수하는 보상 작용을 수행하여 훌륭한 임상적, 기능적 결과를 나타내며 향후 지속적인 연구가 필요하다.

Effects of 10-Week Body Stability Exercise Program on Functional Movement and Body Balance of Middle School Volleyball Players

  • Purpose: This study examined the effects of a physical stability exercise program on the functional movement and balance of middle school volleyball players to provide future management and training data to improve the performance of volleyball players. Methods: The subjects were 20 volleyball players from Y Middle School in Mokpo. The results of comparing and analyzing the effects of the physical stability exercise program on the functional movement and balance of middle school volleyball players for 10 weeks are as follows. Results: The number of participants who showed power and agility (p<0.01) was increased significantly, and the response time was shortened significantly (p<0.01). On the evaluation of functional movement, the total score showed a significant difference between the pre-test at 10.90±1.30 points and the post-test at 13.81±.60 (p<0.001). The subjects' balance showed a significant difference from 84.11±7.53 to 97.65±8.47 (p<0.001), and the Right Composite Score showed a significant difference from 83.74±6.64 to 97.27±8.48 (p<0.001). Conclusion: The application of a physical stability exercise program for 10 weeks is effective in improving the speed, agility, functional movement, and balance to volleyball players who are weakened and at risk of injury. This is believed to prevent or reduce injury.
