This study was carried out to offer the raw data on conservation of land and natural environment by constructing groups of indicators to objectively and rationally assess the sustainable natural ecosystem and present the direction for establishing and planning the environmental policy. There were selected that four assessment items were biotic, abiotic, qualitative, and functional factor. And there were extracted fifty-six indicators including density, total nitrogen, hemeroby degree, and goods production. As assessment items and indicators were over 0.6, the design of questionnaire showed no great problem. In the results of correlation analysis of assessment indicators, sociality and dominance was highly correlative in biotic factor, soil property and aspect in abiotic factor, naturalized and urbanized index in qualitative factor, and protection of landslide and soil erosion were too correlative. In the results of deciding the dimension by multidimensional scaling, as stress values were from 0.042 to 0.133, index of fit over 0.9, there no statistical problems. In case of X axis, biotic factor was structure, viewpoint in abiotic factor, composition in qualitative factor, and object in functional factor, and Y axis was shaped Into form, range, structure, and activity.

This study analyzes how the eco-friendly attitude and benefits pursued in clothing influence the purchase satisfaction of eco-friendly consumers for infants and children's underwear. The survey was conducted from June $1^{st}$ to $20^{th}$ in 2009, and 303 responses were used in the data analysis. A frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and multiple regression analysis were conducted for the statistical analysis. The results show that the eco-friendly attitude is classified by environmental concern, awareness of environmental consumption, and participation in the environmental movement. The benefits pursued in clothing are classified by fashion pursuit, brand pursuit, functional pursuit, personality pursuit, and economical pursuit. The awareness of the environmental consumption factor in the eco-friendly attitude influences the purchase satisfaction of eco-friendly consumers for infants and children's underwear. The fashion, brand, functional, and personality benefits pursued in clothing effect the purchase satisfaction of eco-friendly consumers for infants and children's underwear.

Due to their diversity and abundancy, marine resources have emerged as important biological resources to compensate the limited sources of terrestrial biological materials. Phaeodactylum tricornutum (PT) is one of classical model diatoms most widely studied for its ecology, physiology, biochemistry and molecular biology. In this study, four different PT extracts on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-stimulated macrophages were compared for anti-inflammatory effect and investigated for the underlying mechanisms. The extracts of PT inhibited nitric oxide production from LPS stimulated RAW 264.7 cells in a dose dependent manner. These extracts also inhibited the expression of mRNA and production of proteins of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin (IL)-$1{\beta}$, IL-6 and tumor necrosis factor-${\alpha}$. These inhibitory effects were found to be caused by blockage of nuclear factor-${\kappa}B$ activation and phosphorylation of p38 mitogen-activated protein kinases, extracellular signal-regulated kinases 1 and 2 and c-Jun N-terminal kinase.

The immunostimulating activities of mucilage fraction from yam were investigated. The proliferation of BSA-primed lymph node cells was enhanced between 4.1- to 10.9-fold compare to control, when cultured with 1 to $25{\mu}g/mL$ of yam-mucilage fraction. It showed strong immunostimulating activity than ginseng extract and as remarkable as Bifidobacterium adolescentis M101-4 known as a positive immunostimulator. Mitogenicity to lymph node cells was fully induced by concanavalin A and lipopolysaccharide. The proliferation of splenocytes and Peyer's patch cells was enhanced between 5.0- to 14.1-fold and 2.4- to 6.4-fold, respectively, when cultured with 1 to $25{\mu}g/mL$ of yam-mucilage fraction. It enhanced the production of cytokines such as tumor necrosis $factor-{\alpha}$ and IL-6 in the culture of RAW 264.7 macrophage cells. In the culture of lipopolysaccharide-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells, production of cytokines was as similar as compared to controls. In unstimulated RAW 264.7 cells, both tumor necrosis $factor-{\alpha}$ and IL-6 production were enhanced between 15.6- to 60.1-fold and 2.3- to 9.1-fold, respectively. Mucilage fraction from yam is expected to be a safe immunopotentiator to maintain the host immunity and develop a physiologically functional food.

This research was accomplished to prove that the actual using conditions of the funtional bakery products would be different by their sex, age group and income, and what would be main factor to choose them. This survey was examened for 268 subjects by the self-administered questionnaire method. 37% of subjects used the funtional bakery products once or twice a week. They normally paid for them 1,000-3,000 won(40%). The biggest merit of the fuctional bakey products was good for health, but high price was the weekest point of them. Over 63% of subjects answered they had the will to use the new functinal bakery products if they would be developed. Mainly they got the information of functional procuts in bakery. Females paid more than males to buy them and had stronger will to use the new procuts. As the age increased, the using frequency of fuctional bakery products also increased. The expences to buy for them once and the will to use new products increased according to income increment. Females thought more important factors as price, taste, and color than males. Twenties and forties answered price was more important than thirties and fifties.

The purpose of this study were to compare the wearing and purchase practice of underwear items, and the attitudes toward underwear in middle school girls with those of their mothers in Chongju city. The questionnaires were to measure the demographic information, wearing and purchase practice of underwear items, and attitudes toward underwear. As statistical analysis, frequencies, $X^2-test$, and t-test were used. The results were as follows: 1. There were partially significant difference beween middle school girls and thier mothers of wearing and purchase practice of underwear. 2. The most important factor was size when they purchase their underwear. As the next important factor, middle school girls considered design, while their mother considered functional properties. 3. Middle school girls were more interested in the design aspect or brand name of underwear and less concerned about functional or practical aspects than their mothers in the attitudes toward underwear.

UV curable pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) was made by blending the di-functional or hexa-functional urethane-acrylate oligomer with synthesized acrylic PSA. The change of adhesive property and removability were investigated at various oligomer contents under each oligomer. As the content of oligomer increased, the peel strength was increased before UV irradiation, but it was decreased after UV irradiation. Also, it was observed that the peel strength increased with decrease of storage modulus (G'), and that loss factor (tan ${\delta}$) of the adhesive material affected the adhesive properties and removability.
