메탄올-물 혼합연료 기관에 관한 연구

  • A cycle simulation of 4 cycle spark ignition engine using methanol-water blend as a fuel has been developed for study of prediction of power, specific fuel consumption, mean effective pressure and thermal efficiency. One-dimensional flow model for intake process and thermodynamic model for combustion process were selected. After, performance test was made with conventional engine which was modified in consideration of fuel properties. And computational results by simulation have been compared with experimental results. As the agreement between computational and experimental results was good, prediction of engine performance by was possible.

  • Fuel consumption in fisheries is a primary concern due to environmental effects and costs to fishermen. Much research has been carried out to reduce the fuel consumption related to fishing operations. The fuel consumption of fishing gear during fishing operation is generally related to hydrodynamic resistance on the gear. This research demonstrates a new approach using numerical methods to reduce fuel consumption. The results from the simulation were verified with results that mirrored the model experiments. By designing the fishing gear using drawing software, the whole and partial resistance force on the gear can be calculated as a result of simulations. The simulation results will suggest suitable materials or gear structure for reducing the hydrodynamic forces on the gear while maintaining the performance of the gear. Furthermore, the efficiency of low energy used anchovy dragnet as economic point of view will be dealt. This research will helpful to reduce the GHG emissions from fishing operations and lead to reduce fishing costs due to fuel savings.

  • The electric propulsion system us closely related with the economical efficiency of ship operation. Fuel efficiency is mainly decided by propulsion system such as diesel engine, propulsion motor and steam turbine. The hybrid propulsion system for fishing boat consists of diesel engine and battery as propulsion power source. This paper is to design battery capacity according to power consumption with ship operation condition, and to test the power consumption of model ship in the circulating water channel. As a result. it can be known that the optimum ship operation condition affects the fuel efficiency.

  • As the price of traditional fossil fuels continue to increase, more people attach importance to the pollution of the environment caused by fossil fuel's burning, developing and using renewable energy resources has become a very important project all over the world. Also, the rural energy planning which is another method to improve energy utilization ratio and reduce environment pollution, is also regarded as a very effective way to reduce the energy consumption. There is a quantity of renewable energy resources and natural tribes in rural area, which is both feasible to develop the renewable energy and the regional energy planning. To carry out this, it is needs to know the area's quantity of renewable energy resources and the total energy consumption. This paper is to find out the relationship between rural energy consumption and rural conditions, and to found a energy consumption model which can conjecture the energy consumption in rural family. and the cost of rural family's energy consumption was founded to conjecture how much money dose it cost in rural family's energy consumption. The energy consumption model was concluded using the surveys of 76 families in 14 villages at the area of Chungcheongbuk-Do(province). The main factors to energy consumption was selected out which were number of family members, acreage of house, acreage of farmland and family's annual income.

  • The automobile industry requires technological innovations to reduce fuel consumption with the public interest in environmental conservation in recent years. Thus, the hybrid system is applied not only to passenger cars but also commercial vehicles. The purpose of this paper is to develop engine ECU_ILS to develop commercial hybrid vehicles. In order to develop the engine and vehicle, the dynamometer and exhaust gas analyzer is needed. However, a lot of time and cost are required. In contrast, the model-based development environment that can be applied to a variety of test conditions can reduce development time. Therefore, a HILS system environment that can consider the behavior of actual vehicles for evaluation of the control logic, fuel consumption and exhaust gas is required. This engine ECU_ILS system was developed in this study, can analyze parameter such as the fuel injection rate, fuel injection time, fuel consumption and exhaust gas like the actual vehicle test using map data. Also, this system is expected to be able to analyze the characteristic of vehicle behavior and the development of peripheral device in relation to engine and vehicles. This HILS system can be used to develop control strategies of commercial hybrid vehicle systems in the future.

  • The hybrid electric powertrain is a robust solution that allows for major improvements in both fuel economy and emission reduction. In the present study, a through-the-road hybrid vehicle model with an electric motor driving the rear axle and an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) driving the front axle has been constructed. We then present a systematic method for the determination of a real time applicable optimal Energy Management Strategy (EMS) for a hybrid road vehicle. More precisely, we compare the performance of rule-based EMS strategies to an optimization-based strategy, namely ECMS (Equivalent Consumption Minimization Strategy). The comparison is conducted in parallel with a parameterization of the size of the internal combustion engine and the implementation of a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) that allows following the line of best fuel economy. For the FTP-75 driving cycle, the constrained engine On-off control algorithm is shown to offer a 28% improvement potential of fuel consumption compared to the conventional internal combustion engine while the ECMS strategy achieves an improved potential of nearly 33%.

  • 자율주행차 시대가 도래하면서 ECU (Electronic Control Unit)는 점차 고도화되고 있고, 이에 따라 차량에서 정확한 데이터를 추출하고 분석하려는 연구가 다양하게 시도되어 왔다. 그러나 ECU는 차량 제조사별로 상이한 프로토콜을 가지고 있어 상용 단말기로는 정확한 데이터 추출과 분석이 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 정확한 차량 데이터를 추출하기 위하여 전용 펌웨어를 개발하여 차량의 2019년 1월부터 2월의 실제 주행데이터 53,580건의 데이터를 추출하였으며, 20회가 넘는 실제 도로 주행을 통해서 데이터의 정확도를 검증하였다. 이러한 데이터를 바탕으로 실시간 연료 소비량 예측 모델의 정확도를 높이기 위하여 스태킹 앙상블 기법을 이용하였다. 본 연구에서는 베이스 모델로 Ridge, Lasso, XGBoost, LightGBM이 사용되고 메타 모델은 Ridge가 사용되었으며, 예측 성능은 MAE 0.011, RMSE 0.017로 최적의 결과를 보였다.

평면곡선부 구간에서의 연료효율적 주행전략 개발 (Development of a Fuel-Efficient Driving Strategy in Horizontal Curve Section)

  • 우리나라 교통부문 온실가스 배출량은 2012년 88백만tonCO2eq에 도달하였으며, 이 중 도로에서 발생한 배출량이 94%를 차지한다. 현재 에코드라이빙 교육 및 홍보 프로그램을 실시하고 있으나 도로선형을 고려한 친환경적 차량제어 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 고속도로를 대상으로 평면곡선부를 주행하는 차량의 연료효율적 주행 전략을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 먼저 설계지침에 따라 이상적인 평면곡선부를 설계하고 차량의 안전을 고려하기 위해 안전속도를 산정하였다. 설계한 평면곡선부의 구간별로 가 감속 시나리오를 설정하였으며 앞서 산정한 안전속도를 기준으로 속도를 제한하여 속도 프로파일을 생성하였다. 생성한 속도 프로파일에 도로 선형에 따른 차량 속도변환식을 적용하였으며 Comprehensive Modal Emission Model에 적용하여 연료소모량을 산정하였다. 초기속도별 최적 시나리오를 도출하였으며 도출한 에코드라이빙 전략을 검증하기 위해 실제 운전자 주행과 에코드라이빙 전략을 적용 시 연료소모량을 비교 분석하였다. 분석결과, 에코드라이빙 주행 시 운전자의 주행보다 평균 20.73% 연료소모량 감축효과가 나타나는 것으로 분석되었다.

딥러닝을 이용한 다변량, 비선형, 과분산 모델링의 개선: 자동차 연료소모량 예측 (Improvement of Multivariable, Nonlinear, and Overdispersion Modeling with Deep Learning: A Case Study on Prediction of Vehicle Fuel Consumption Rate)

  • PURPOSES : This study aims to improve complex modeling of multivariable, nonlinear, and overdispersion data with an artificial neural network that has been a problem in the civil and transport sectors. METHODS: Deep learning, which is a technique employing artificial neural networks, was applied for developing a large bus fuel consumption model as a case study. Estimation characteristics and accuracy were compared with the results of conventional multiple regression modeling. RESULTS : The deep learning model remarkably improved estimation accuracy of regression modeling, from R-sq. 18.76% to 72.22%. In addition, it was very flexible in reflecting large variance and complex relationships between dependent and independent variables. CONCLUSIONS : Deep learning could be a new alternative that solves general problems inherent in conventional statistical methods and it is highly promising in planning and optimizing issues in the civil and transport sectors. Extended applications to other fields, such as pavement management, structure safety, operation of intelligent transport systems, and traffic noise estimation are highly recommended.

  • DMFC(Direct Methanol Fuel Cell) is one of promising candidates for power sources of small mobile IT devices like notebook, cell phone, and so on. Efficient operation of fuel cell system is very important for long-sustained power supply because of limited fuel tank size. It is necessary to investigate operation characteristics of fuel cell stack for optimal control of DMFC system. The generated voltage was modeled according to various operating condition; methanol concentration, stack temperature, and load current. It is inevitable for methanol solution at anode to cross over to cathode through MEA(membrane electrode assembly), which reduces the system efficiency and increases fuel consumption. In this study, optimal operation conditions are proposed by analyzing stack performance model, cross-over phenomenon, and system efficiency.
